Spark Sport had big boots to fill with Sky Sports reputation being superb and they haven’t even come close to being half as good. It hasn’t been good for viewers and the sport itself. Viewing a great game is meant to be exciting and at the moment its frustrating and stressful, I hope this isn’t the way going forward!!!

Appalling wait times to speak to customer services, A hour later still on hold....

Very poor. Streaming is clearly an issue here as well as the web page that is not user friendly. And if you want to watch delayed play you have to wait hours after the game rather than just after the game is over. Very poor service from a company that is clearly out of its depth technically and in user interface.
I hope that the EPL does not sell to spark next season they should go with a proven delivery service like BEIN. I am hoping that they stuff up in the rugby world cup knockout stages. Only then will the rest of NZ wake up to this rubbish service provider and ensure that they don't have the rights to important sports events in the future.

I am not amazed to see both Vodafone and Spark neck and neck at being the worst run business in Telecommunications. To achieve this sort of status takes hard work, dedication to being absolute bum holes and ripping off the general public. Surely there must be some good in there somewhere? but I clearly doubt it, as poop rolls downhill, I can only blame management for this fiasco....

Their reps at the airport will mislead you to buy a more expensive service with false pretenses that if you recharge you’ll keep the data benefits. That’s not the case at all. This company is nothing but a rip off full of liars. Go to 2degrees.

I can't email any of my customers with an xtra address because of Spark's stupid over zealous spam filters. This has been going on for years and they've done exactly squat to remedy it. Go else where.

Been with Spark for years but latest service experience is a f**kin joke. 2 months with little to no fibre broadband. I have phoned/emailed, chatbotted dozens of times and still no reliable broadband 2 months later. No Netflix, no Spark Sport , kids having issues getting homework done on school portal. What a joke. They keep saying they test and there is no issue. Speeds are as low as 0.5 mbps when going and mainly under 10 when I am.paying for 100mbps. Laughable. A technician was going to come round some other clown was going to call back and guess what...f**kn nothing. Woeful I am.leaving Spark they have no clue!

Looking at the list of reviews here, I am adding to the other many '1 Star' ratings. My sister in law recently became critically unwell with a brain tumour and as a result this has changed her life as she knew it. When dealing with her care and welfare, I had to contact Spark to have her home services disconnected. Throughout the conversation with Spark I was advised that due to her 'contract' with them, they would not disconnect until the required 'notice period' was in place so disconnection would be at a later date otherwise they would have to charge her a $199.00 disconnection fee. In addition, received a bill in the last 2 days which also shows a 'late payment' fee from the previous month. REALLY SPARK??? Disgraceful conduct with a customer who is fighting for their life!

Don’t ever bid on the Rugby World Cup ever again. Leave it for Sky. Must’ve spent all your money on the bid, and now you can’t even provide quality coverage of the games. It feels like I’m watching the games through a damn flip book! This really backfired for you lot didn’t it, terrible service.

You'd think if one buys a brand new phone outright for $1,500 the sales person would in the very least give you correct information. First I waited for about 30 minutes to be asked "are you all right?" No dippy i've just been standing around making eye contact cos i really want to ask you out for a DATE - duhh!!!
To top it, he knew nothing about the phones set up capabilities nor the services providers role in all this. Bryce love, if you're listening - wtfu!!

Bad customer service. American accents. Can't understand them. They can't understand me. Long waiting queues. Only to be told we don't do that. I'm talking about bridge conference calling. Staff don't know what that is. You get put through to so many people who ALL ask you your security details. Maxicom do bridge conference calling people. Spark are not up with the play and I'm a 66 year old asking - go figure!!!

Just cancelled my broadband connection after my contract expired and am being charged for 30 days of internet that I won't be using. I can understand up to 7 days to disconnect, but 30 is slimy. Congrats Spark I'll never again consider you for any of my families multimedia needs and am now actively looking to change the ones I have.

Absolutely terrible customer service in NZ - constantly met with operators that have bad attitudes and questioning my understanding of why I am calling, given different advice by different reps and none have solved my problem. Off shore customer service reps out perform local reps immensely.
Signed a contract on July 6 and still have no broadband connection, now 30 July.
Would not recommend at all.

Honestly couldn't get worse, the network speed is already just bearable when I have five or more devices connected, I didn't get the Fibre set up as promised which I have been waiting for 2 years, instead, I got the 4G network which is horrible with multiple devices. The network often has irregular lag and testing it on multiple websites it shows there are ping spikes up to 300ms when connected to Sydney server which makes it unbearable for online gaming because many games do not have New Zealand servers. After I utilized 'live chat' on the Spark website, the person dragged time and asked who are you, what is your name etc. and tells me that the websites I used to test my ping were not accurate and he told me to use Ookla which showed a very undetailed report of my ping(all I got out of it was 20ms). After that, he told me to use another network channel and to reset my modem. After resetting my modem and wasting three hours trying to solve this, the network finally worked properly with little lag. Take it from me, just don't use Spark.

Slack delivery service. I ordered a phone with my voice and my account. I am female. it was sent to a business address but not noted as such. The delivery name was my husbands yet I ordered the phone. Was to be delivered before 24 June. No notification that it could not be delivered.
I have found my phone and it will be delivered to me at my work tomorrow. Very nice lady unknown solved the problem

For over a year, I thought Spark had moved my number. I have just found out that Spark did not move my number and I had been advertising my business with the wrong number. Some people could get through so I didn't realize there was a problem with my phone number. Until I switched to Skinny. I found out that it was Amazing I got any calls at all. But the worse part was the amount of calls I had missed and all the money I lost because Spark did not bring my number. Never trust Spark. Skinny is the new and improved mobile provider.

When you think you have paid your bill in full, think again! Coz spark will send you another bill at the end of the month with out telling you what it is for. Appalling customer service too! So disappointed dealing with this people. You have to go all the way to their shop to know what was your bill about! Ridiculous!

Wish I could give negative stars.
Just awful on all fronts. business account. Customer service at all levels fails horribly.
Call centre - Never follow through on what they say
Stores - Completely clueless.
Business Hub - While admitting faults after investigating, were unable to make up for it at all.
One of the worst companies in the world - never use. Vodafone isn't great but are better than this Mickey Mouse outfit.

Don't Renew with these guys. Spark Customer for a year, having switched for Netflix and Gigatown offer. Invited to renew, which i did to get Sports and Rugby World Cup, and extension of Gigatown type speeds and Netflix.
After three weeks, numerous calls and conflicting advice (you're on the wrong plan, Gigatown isn't now available, we need to reset your offer etc), finally online with Angie the Chatbox person (>1 hour) thsi evening, I'm still awaiting Sports Rugby Pass (one i was given got cancelled/removed, activation links won't work), and I've been put on a more expensive plan for the same service it would appear.
Surely this is a breach of contract? Really glad i remained a loyal customer... (not)

Keeps cutting out and disconnecting from the internet.
You know sparks useless when there’s more negative reviews than positive. My internet keeps cutting out. Or when I’m playing a game or watching a movie it disconnects all together. This review doesn’t even deserve one star 🙄 then get told to turn it off for 10 seconds but that doesn’t even work either. Ended up getting someone in to set up the fibre, but it’s still useless, companies quick to take your money but give you nothing in return but a piece of 💩 connection. Bunch of scam artists. If your reading this and are looking for a company for your internet. DO NOT GO TO SPARK! No matter what deals they have. They usually say “buy our ultra fast fibre connection package and we will give you something free!” Yeah there’s a reason why they’re selling something free. #scammers. At least you can use your “free” UE BOOM to connect to the... oh wait can’t even do that either 😂 U.S.E.L.E.S.S
