Anders is the best massage therapist I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. He uses the perfect pressure. He doesn’t talk. He’s exactly what I needed

I hope your experience goes much better than mine.
In 30 years I have only left 2 negative reviews which includes this one. I have tried Soothe 3x over the course of 2 years. Every time I've tried booking with them I'm told they are on the way and I receive a call later saying they do not have anyone available and would I like to reschedule.
Their excuse as I've just gotten off a call with their support team minutes ago, is, Charlotte NC is small market and they don't receive many requests from this major city. If this is the case and you do not have service in the area then you should not accept payment from that area, especially with a no refund policy, that seems to be common sense. However, that is not the case here with Soothe.
Soothe has phenomenal content on their app to lure us all in. Wonderful pictures, all the bells and whistles. Content is king in the digital world but character is king in the real world. Content never trumps character and this experience revealed the character of the company which is my main reason for this review not the 100 or so dollars Soothe has stolen.
[FOR ALL WHO DO NOT SEE WHERE THIS IS GOING....I would be leery to work with such a company, whether good service or not, whether you can stir the emotions others through images, commercials, speech, etc, the character is poor and "schiesty" (pardon my substandard English there, I'm not Einstein). However, let's continue.]
This seems extremely backwards and an awfully poor business practice. When you try to get YOUR OWN money back because SOOTHE is unable to give you the service YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR, Soothe will offer YOUR payment back to YOU in the form of credit, as if that is how they received payment from you!!!
This is not underwear purchased from a store and returned worn!! It's a SERVICE offered by Soothe paid by me, and ultimately not rendered.
What age and twisted world do these aristocratic deviants dwell!
If you were to go to a restaurant, sit on the left side in a booth and order a meal with the server then pay for it upfront, maybe in a rush and don't want to wait forever for the ticket when you're done, only to never receive the meal, and the manager when asked says "No we don't serve the left side of the restaurant", one would think of it in the vain of insanity! But not this Soothe company that is commonplace for them.
In all of my years of business consulting this is a very poor business practice. Very very poor, especially in a digital world where you take payment electronically. To have a no refund policy for a service not rendered but yet paid for is nothing less than THEFT.
While some have had good experiences, mine were not so.

I have fibromyalgia and this service changed my life around. Driving to a therapist would become a painful chore and then driving home was even more stressful. Thanks to soothe, I can heal/get relief from the comfort of my own home. I also love the monthly membership.

I was with massage envy for 4 years and had no idea what I had been missing. My masseuse was by far the best I’ve ever had. Full body, 90 mins of heaven! And she stretched me out. I cancelled my other membership and will be signing up!

This was my 2nd massage with Soothe and I am 2 for 2. Never had a massage at my place before trying it 2 months ago and have to say not having to drive home after in traffic A++++++!!! Oh and so far my masseuses have been great. Hope that doesn't jinx it for next time.

I've had very good experiences with all the therapists and customer service. I will definitely us Soothe again. My only complaint is that there are directions from a couple of years ago instructing the therapist where to park. That was while I was traveling and at a hotel and I can't remove it. It's confusing for the therapists when they are trying to get to me.

TERRIBLE. My card was charged even though no therapist was identified: I cancelled and have been waiting for 15 days for the reimbursement. Outrageous.

Therapists are good and willing to work with you. Process can take a while and you aren't guaranteed that someone will be available.

NO SHOW MASSAGE. Attempted to call them when I did not receive my second email confirmation as instructed. Waited on hold 42 min. Asked for the call back but due to system error continued to hold. Someone did call me 15 min prior to appointment only to offer a reschedule that could not be met. The operator was not helpful. Our conversation was followed up by a scripted email that was exactly like our conversation. Whats worse its been six days and I have not received a refund.

Kenneth is an incredible deep tissue massage therapist. He even used percussive therapy to get into challenging areas. Booking process was easy and straightforward.

I love the idea of Soothe and, despite a few bad experiences, was open to giving them a chance. But then I discovered that it is almost impossible to cancel my membership and now think they are an absolute scam. I first tried through the chat app and got ghosted several times once I connected with someone and mentioned I wanted to cancel my subscription. I then emailed and got a response back saying that they could do it. I was not asked for further information, so I assumed my subscription had been successfully canceled. A couple months later, I discovered I had been getting credit card charges for the last couple of months. I then called to cancel. After a 40-minute hold and an entire discussion with the phone operator during which I said multiple times I would like to cancel my account (and the person seemed to acknowledge my desires), I was about to hang up when I said, "Just to confirm: my account is canceled, right?" The response was, "Oh, let me go ahead and GET THAT STARTED RIGHT NOW." They also refused to refund me for the two extra months, even acknowledging that the email exchange did suggest that I needed no further action to cancel my account. Before this last sequence of events, I might have given them the benefit of the doubt, but I am now convinced they make their money by tricking people into not canceling their memberships. STAY AWAY WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!

Individuals should always check ratings first- after providing a credit card, scheduling an appointment for two days, I was told, Tacoma Washington was a limited area. At present, I have rescheduled six times. Hopefully, the funds charged on my card will be applied a massage. I believe, I walked into a scam. Had I read the ratings first, I wouldn't have provided my credit card number. I strongly encourage you to proceed with caution. Thank you.
Update- I was told to request any gender, instead of female only and received my 7th unable to confirm. I asked for a refund and was told no. Yet, I'm unable to confirm a massage. Anyone have answers as to how I should proceed. I lost $165.00.

Stay away. A friend gave me a gift card for my birthday which I used last week. I booked an appointment on their website, entered the gift card info, and the website accepted the code at checkout (subtracting the gift card’s value from the total amount). So far so good.
My massage from Cherie was amazing. Skilled pro.
Minutes later my relaxed and calm state of mind was ruined by an email from Soothe with my receipt. I was charged full price. I emailed Soothe and was told the gift card was invalid. They then asked me to send a screenshot of the website accepting the code. Excuse me? Who does that?
A week later, we are still disputing this. Extremely shady and disappointing. Stay. Away.

We have used Soothe twice recently as a treat. The therapist we got both times was great, very friendly and professional and the massage was perfect. All that prevents me giving it 5 stars is we found it to be quite expensive. £72 for an hour is pretty rough when you have other companies offering the same for £45-£60.

I would not recommend Soothe. I scheduled a massage and OVER an hour later they contacted me telling me that they were still working to find me a therapist. Meanwhile, I already rescheduled and was currently getting a massage. My therapist shook the entire time. I feel as if he had no experience, yet claimed to have been doing it for 30+ years. He used a shampoo bottle for his lotion and the sheets smelled weird and not new or freshly washed.
