I appreciate the chance to comment on my holiday experience to Corfu last week.
The Corfu Residence Hotel was of a good standard. It was clean, all components in the room functioned well. The staff were helpfull and interested that we were satisfied.
I was at first disappointed when we were shown our rooms. We had booked two rooms but I hadn't requested them to be close together as we all have the same surname, I expected that would be the case. We were given the initial two rooms from almost opposite ends of the hotel complex. I explained to the manager 'Dimitrious' that we were a family and requested a change. He explained they were fully booked but he offered an apartment with an extra bed and compensated us with an up-grade to all inclusive which we were happy to accept.
We enjoyed the buffet meals and drinks at the bar in the evenings.
Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience with the car hire company when we first arrived.
When I made my booking with Solfaktor, it was recommended that I book a car using the link which lead me to Rentalcars.com
Having booked the car, I received e-mail confirmation but missed the required credit card detail.
In the past, I have been able to use my Visa card or Cash as a deposit, but not in this case. I was forced to pay an extra 1,414.00:-
for the BVG YOURS CAR RENTAL insurance which was non refundable when returning the car instead of leaving a 7,500.00:- deposit.
I had already taken 'res klar' insurance with Folksam so I now had two insurances for the car. I tried calling Folksam, they were closed on Mid summers day which was the day we arrived.
I suggested cancelling the car but was told I wouldn't get a refund as I was inside the 48 hour cancellation period. I was unable to use my wifes credit card as I had booked the car in my name. As I was now dealing with BVG YOURS CAR RENTAL, I didn't think to call Sol Faktor or Rentalcars.com for advice.
I did miss the credit card detail. It is the second point on the reservation confirmation.
I have now spoken with staff at Rentalcars.com and Solfaktor who have agreed that this detail could be made more clear as some car rental companies still accept Visa card or cash payments.
I suggested Highlighting this detail in BOLD or coloured text as it is an expensive mistake to accept at the beginning of a holiday.
I have been advised to make a claim but first feel Solfaktor and their customers could benifit if this BOLD text detail is included on the confirmation e-mails in the future.
With kind regards,

The hotel was in rather bad shape with very small rooms, no ventilation, below avarage breakfast and no room cleaning.

My flight to Arlanda has 12hrs delay and Norwegian airlines didnt provide any accomodations. Now I got 2 hrs further delay. This delay ruined my vacation and plan.

Everything we ordered was one time and in good order. We had no difficulties and had an amazing price.

We (2 adults+13 year old) booked a packet deal, flight and hotel with Solfaktor. Flight was with BRA wich there is nothing to complain about, staff very friendly and a smooth journey so they get 10/10.
When we came to our hotel in Bulgaria Karolina komplex Nesebar we were told that they had no information about us staying there. Finally the person in reception got in touch with his manager and she came to speak with us after 15 minutes of waiting in the lobby. She told us that WE WERE LUCKY that she was working that day as she knew that some flats had been sold to another company (PM group) which she then got in touch with and a representative from PM group, came to give us keys after waiting further 10 minutes. Once in the apartment then we got a call from the spokes person for this company asking us if we could move to another hotel after one week as they had told ((sunhotels-agent solfaktor dealt with (I assume)) not to take further bookings but we were booked for two weeks, and there was a double booking of the last two days of our stay. We looked at the apartment they wanted us to move to but refused to move after one week as the hotel they wanted us to move to was worse than the one we had booked. So they said OK you can stay the whole two weeks where you have booked.
No one came to clean the apartment or change towels or bedsheets, so after staying 8 days we rang the company responsible for the flat and asked about this and he said yes we will come this afternoon. Which they did and changed towels and sheets, and did spot cleaning. The apartment was nice and we'll equipped, but it was not a nice start to the holiday meeting this uncertainty on arrival.

Ok so I booked Marjan Spa and Resort via Solfaktor. 5 star hotel, a bit off season with breakfast included. All well, I got a room upgrade on arrival and over welcoming reception. Over all the experiance was ok and here is why;
-So it was presented as a family hotell with kids club. Every activity in the kids club can with an added cost, and it wasnt cheap. For some arcades its understandable, but for all activites and the games were about 20 sek each.
-the kids pool where very small and mote directed to infants.
-the pools wasnt really a bother until we learned that the in-door pool was no childerns aloud, so for me a single parent I list a possibility to exercise and swim inside, since the kids club didnt offer any kind of child supervision. It was basicly an arcade/resturant.
-non of the food were targeting children, so it was down to complaining or luck to get something more child oriented.
-the only facility within the hotel that recognise the issue and tried to acvomodate me was the SPA, that bill ran ne about 150 dollars for my childs treatment only, well worth it.
To the point, this information shouldve been made clear, since neithe solfaktor nor the hotel informed about this on the website. I brought it up with the hotel and got an appology but no compensation. Solfaktor should as the broker inform about thus to avoid simular situations in the future. If I had bern there as a couple or alone it wouldve been great, but the criteria differs when traveling with a 6 yo.

The hotel was not good enough as a 4 stars hotel. You should put it as a 2 or 3 stars hotel.
