I purchased clothing for my wife's birthday from Soft Surroundings. Its been more than two weeks from the shipping date and a week after my wife's birthday and I still don't have the package. Its one delay after another during shipping. I never liked FedEx. Now I will avoid them at all cost. Totally awful service compared to other options. We are talking Missouri to the West Coast.

This company has the worst return policy ever you return a item expecting the amount you paid less $7.95 because that's what it says on the return policy but no! You also have to pay the original amount of your shipping in other words you are going to be out a minimum of 20 to 25% of your original purchase what a joke and the quality is not that good I will never buy from them again and believe me I will tell anyone in my path to never ever ever buy from soft surroundings! EVER!

I waited months for an item that I ordered. I eventually received an email stating they couldn't deliver it. I asked for a substantial discount to be used on a future order to make up for the inconvenience. The customer service representative only offered me 10%. Not even free shipping. They send me emails at least once a month offering 30,40, sometimes even 50% off. When I insisted they could do better than 10% she just blew me off with "Sorry, no." The long wait and then the customer service experience left me with a negative feelings toward Soft Surroundings.

Clothes are generally overpriced and in store and phone service is not very customer friendly. Even when returning an item to a store directly, it can take a week or so to get a credit on your credit card. Other vendors do much better.

I love soft surroundings! I love their clothing! Yes, there have been some problems with timeliness in my returns during Covid, but we all have struggled, so please give them a pass on this one. They are wonderfully helpful on the phone When I've placed orders that they have not been able to fulfill due to demand, they have compensated me for these inconveniences. I will continue to shop there because their clothes are beautifully unique thank you Soft Surroundungs!

First off I used to love Soft Surroundings. I'm not sure what has happened but they have gone to overpriced cheap clothes that if they aren't backordered for months they just rarely fit right! My husband bought me a 250. Gift card 3 years ago and I have only purchased a lousy overpriced tshirt with it and somewhere lost 50. At least! They don't credit the gift card back they send you "gift certificates" with odd amounts on them with no dates. You can't look up your past purchases on their website.. its ridiculous! The customer service people are so rude!

Clothes are too expensive and not worth it. I spent $26 in shipping costs for two separate orders and have nothing to show for it! I will stick with a company that offers free shipping and free returns. Also, I believe Arizona is exempt from taxing shipping costs, which I was taxed.

It appears that I too have been duped by the poor quality and customer service of Soft Surroundings. I am a first time buyer, so I am especially disappointed. Covid or not, an email could have been sent to answer my questions and address my concern, but after a month and a half, I guess I will hear nothing. I will give SS a bit more time for processing my timely return and expected refund before taking further action.

I was to receive a gift certificate for my birthday. My friend purchased the $100.00 card and received confirmation and her credit card was charged. Never received the card or an activation number. She tried to call then email and then I tried. No response. I understand the challenges stores have moving on line, however this is a catalog company and had a large on line presence before. It is now the end of May. They should have their act together. Can't help but think this company is going by the way of Sears, J Crew and J.C. Penney. "when the tide goes out you see who is not wearing clothes".

I never actually received anything from 3 orders I placed. After waiting some time I finally got a hold of them and there was no longer an order, cancelled. They seemed genuinely confused that I wished to know that and confirmed they sent no notice. So, very poor service.
I decided to give one more try today since a brand new catalog arrived in today's mail. It had two really nice hoodies perfect for summer nights and right now too. Great, will order them immediately.
Both out of stock until the end of summer LOL why even send a catalog out that arrives today and things are not in stock until after the season ends?
I am officially done now.

I placed an order for two items on April 5th. One item came right away, the other back ordered and was to be shipped May 15th. I waited but no order or email explanation. Could not phone them because if Covid. Emailed customer service- my order will not be shipped until July 29 th. An almost 4 month wait is unacceptable. Canceled my order.

I want to express my extreme dissatisfaction with ordering a gift card through Soft Surroundings website. I wanted to order an e gift card for my mom for her birthday on May 1st thinking that she would get it that day. When I ordered on the website, upon checkout it stated it would be delivered as an e card but then asked for shipping info. I thought this was strange but filled it out anyways since I couldn't move forward without doing this. I entered my mom's address. I got the email stating it was processed and told my mom she should be getting an email soon. She ended up getting a gift card in the mail 8 days after her birthday. I wanted to order her another gift card for her for Mother's Day May 10 and ran into the same thing on their website. I was unable to speak with anyone on the phone and no one ever got back to me when I emailed customer service to express my dissatisfaction and request to speak with someone. I look at their website and see that they are only doing ecards now which is great but what horrible customer service that no one got back to me.

The sheets are the most disappointing product ever. Top sheet and pillow cases need to be ironed after every wash. NEVER AGAIN WIIL I CONSIDER ANY SOFT SURROUNDING PRODUCT.

It has been over a month since I promptly & correctly returned 5 items that did not fit, but I have received not response to ten emails, and a written letter, requesting my full refund. I'm sending a second letter tomorrow. They did, however, promptly charge me.

I bought a sweater. It was beautiful and fit great so, I threw away the packaging. This is what the sweater looks like after wearing it twice. It was never washed. They are not answering phones and I'm waiting now 4 days for a response.

No one to talk to and have sent 3 emails asking that the items be shipped to me instead under the circumstances. No response from anyone. Even the store manager who I spoke to twice and was aware of the order is unresponsive now. I know the unexpected closures are challenging but expected more from this store. Very disappointed.

I ordered several items. All but one item was available for shipping. Yet nothing was ever shipped to me. Customer Service claimed they left me a VM that since my shipping address was different from my mailing, they would not ship until they spoke to me. No one from the company ever called me or left me a VM. I cancelled the order they never shipped. Horrible service!

I impatiently weighted for Soft Surroundings to come to my town. When they finally opened their store, it was a BIG disappointment. The material of clothes is very cheap. Their clothes are cut for one type of body build only-- tall, slim, long necked women. Even their petite sizes fall in the above category. Their clothes are worse than Macy's maybe at the level of JC Penney. I went there many times with the hope to like and buy something. Never found anything that would fit me. I do my shopping at Anthropologie and they have clothes for literally every body. I was hoping Soft Surroundings would be a less expensive version of Anthropologie. What a disappointment.... I better spend 2X more in stores that offer quality that buying the trash that this store offers. Ah, another thing is that they offer exactly the same items multiple seasons. It is really strange.

I got my Mom a sweater fo Christmas that she never received. I called and they said she would get it end of January, it was back ordered. Fine ...Just called and they said they cancelled the order because they will never get the sweater in... was I ever told of this ? No ! We recently bought bamboo sheets from Soft Surrounding on the recommention of the sales staff. The first set I
ordered had a rip in the top sheet and they did exchange it with no problem. I washed the sheets before we used them, as most people would do? and my husband and I hated the feel of them. Too hot and would not stay in place
on the bed. Well guess what, I should have read the return policy first, they will not refund money for any "laundered" items. Lesson learned!!
