I have 4 children aged 11-4. I home educate and the older 3 kids use skoolbo daily. The earned snazzimals are a great motivation, my older two love playing chess together.
My 11 yr old isn’t learning new maths or English but loves the non fiction books for supplementing his knowledge of the world.
It’s noisy, can be silly and I would find it irritating but it works for the kids and gives them joy in completing tasks and daily challenges. I’m so happy with Skoolbo!

Skoolbo is wonderful, they cater for all academic subjects. My only criticism is that it's too fast moving. When a child is given a question e.g. '36 ÷ 6', if the child does not answer instantly then the question is repeated again and again which is confusing for the child. I have seen my daughter struggle as she is trying to calculate sums mentally and becomes frustrated when the monkey keeps repeating the question. For this reason I believe she does not perform to her Best ability.

The children love it! It's a good way to keep them busy instead aimless games.

My little boy is of above average ability and I am an ex-teacher with experience with primary aged children. I have recently subscribed to Skoolbo for my 4 year old (on a home ed rate). I'm finding lots of the programme too complicated or fast for him. The literacy daily challenges are fine for his level but the maths challenges were much too difficult. I have reset them to an easier level using the parent dashboard and I'm hoping this will be better. I don't really like competing against others in the games either as I think this, coupled with the timing aspect, stresses him out and he makes mistakes. For his age group I think it would be fine just to strive for a personal best without the competitive dimension. He is very motivated to collect Snazzimals however, which is a great aspect of the game, but the swiping on the fruitybo game (which you play after winning a Snazzimal) needs to be very precise and is too fast for him. The book reading parts of the programme are, in my opinion totally unsuitable for his age group. There are so many words on each page and, even though they can be read to you, it is very off putting so see so much text. The themes are also too complex.
The idea that the game 'learns' from your responses is great, the idea of winning Snazzimals is also very motivating but I think the content supplied children under 6 needs to be reviewed.

Skoolbo is an engaging tool for children to learn without even realising. My boys loved playing the different games and would never complain about "work" when Skoolbo was involved. Definitely recommend it for anyone homeschooling or simply as an additional learning extension.

Music is too loud and distracting. Makes listening to questions difficult at times. Should have option to turn music off whilst still hearing questions read out aloud

I found the system speaking very quickly which made it difficult for my child to follow. Is there a Australian version.

I home school my son with Skoolbo, but I would love to know how many lessons he should have every day, Time 4 Learning gives that option, and I would like to get that with Skoolbo

My 9 year old does like schoolbo activities and stories. The only issue I have is that I can't log in on different device.

My 5 year old simply loves Skoolbo. There is nothing better when children beg you to please be allowed to go on the laptop to do some learning. Thanks for writing such an engaging Program.

This is a great learning tool
However I have been having difficulties with it when running on a network instead of WiFi
There no obvious means of contacting someone to help.

My child loves Skoolbo but also as a parent the response from the skoolbo team when issues arose was quick and efficient.
Great app and the varied content is impressive!
