Overall, I have not hated skip the dishes until the holidays... I order skip (Wait time was 1H and 20M’s), which made me call the place that had ordered from. Turns out, the skip drivers will not connect unless you give them a “sizeable tip”, which makes sense. I’m not mad at the skip drivers but the customer service line (which no way you will get an answer through Beginning Dec,- End of Dec.... ). I really wish their online chat would improve. I never got a refund on any cold food (which sucked), only a call saying; “hey, you got the food right?!”.... skip should just declare_______

Not to jump into specifics but I clearly explain how my order was wrongfully canceled, I explain on a chat on the phone app, over the call, email, twitter DM. Everyone says they understand the situation but everyone's response is that they cannot do anything to refund a canceled order.
if not refund issue a credit or anything else, a scam to make money.

Worse app ever! I requested food today and after wait a long time for it the currier just didn’t delivered. After chat with the support the only thing I was told is they will return my money in 3 to 5 business days. Very disappointed with the costume service.

I made an order with Skip the Dishes. I have made an order with them a few times so I know the procedure. I went down early to meet the courier. They didn't show up. I went back up to look at my phone to see the was all of 1 missed call. My order was already cancelled and this all happened within 10min including me going down early. I contacted Skip Support and in short form they blamed it on me and forfeited my funds. All in all they were extremely unhelpful and I lost $40 for no good reason.

I tried 3 times to order.
1st time - order was incorrect and opened
2end time - i asked not to knock or ring door bell as I have Guard Dogs and a pregnant wife. 3 clowns rolled up in a 300c and banged on my door and rang the door bell 3 times. My king Shepard can literally break through the door
3rd time - it went from 8 min delivery time to 21, to 13 mins, back to 30
Don’t order from them; a friend that worked and quit admitted they open and screw with your food

terrible experience with them. the courier, Amir with supposedly 168 deliveries completed, did not deliver per instruction and said he tried to get a hold of me but i was out of reach. i was in my unit the whole time, with my phone and got no calls at all. the instructions were to deliver to the unit.... so regardless of me being reachable, he should have delivered to the unit. contacted support and i got the same message being repeated and when i asked for a refund, which makes sense since i did not receive the food, they cut the communication off....with no update or follow ups whatsoever

Wow, I've been using these guys for awhile and I've just been reading these terrible reviews all so recently. Similar to these other stories I ordered some food and was hungrily watching keeping track online. I thought it was strange that the red line where it shows where they are supposed to be driving was doubled over which I've never seen before. I thought maybe this guy doesn't know what he's doing, he didn't mark that he had pick up the order. Anyway as I saw it get closer I was excited to get my food but I got a call so I answered it and immediately they hung up. Of course there's no way to call this line back it just goes to a general skip the dishes line. I thought maybe he can't find the place and he's looking and can't talk on the phone at the same time, I'll give him a few minutes, I could see the car online within a few blocks and then nothing. The order shows that it was cancelled so I call chat on the customer service, she says know your order is not cancelled. I said well he didn't come with the food and he hung up on me so how could I tell him where we were or help him find the place. She was waiting forever on the chat, minutes at a time she would disappear and I'd have to write 'Hello?' I told her that the driver clearly stole my food and they have to give me my money back, she said it was my fault and that they weren't going to give me a refund. This is all before Christmas Eve can you believe it? Clearly they have been taken over by criminals. A couple other times people couldn't find the place and left but at least they give me the credit back. I was so shocked that they haven't done that, it was a big order cause I was so hungry. I'm really sad because I like that restaurant, we use it a lot. Not anymore, I'm done with skip the dishes. Someone mentioned they change their policy and August, that explains a lot.

The worst service ever... the delivery driver cancelled my order for no reason at all. The online help, who was no better then the driver claimed that the driver attempted to call me and leave me messages and notifications.( which I never received) To make matters far worse, skip the dishes would not honour a refund to me or even a credit. ( which I would have been happy to use if they granted me that). 100% scam from a useless, unreliable service. BUYERS BEWARE. This garbage brand isn’t even worth one star!!!

I’ve ordered 4 times and each time I had a different delivery person and each time my food was cold. It’s a waste of time trying to communicate with the parent company they don’t care.
Never again so next time I’ll try their competition.

They never delivered the food and did not issue a refund. They do not have a phone number and online customer service was awful and of no help. Will not be using their service again and recommending you to do the same.

Numerous times I've had missing items. When you try to call them nobody answers and then when you use the chat option you're left waiting for 5 minutes between each message. Then they just ask are you still there? No customer service. They up charge everything and then charge even more for fees. SKIP skip the dishes and just make your own food...or order and then you'll just be waiting for nothing and be even hungrier and have to spend 2 hours trying to get your money back..which will take 3-5 business days to get back into your account.

Skip the dish is robbery! I placed an order and decided to do laundry. My phone was in the other room. When I decided to check my phone to see what’s taking so long I see 2 missed calls. I tried to call back but it said something about me missing my time to chat with the driver. I also see my order was canceled. I was very confused as I know nobody knocked on my door or made any attempt to deliver my food. So I tried the support chat through the app which they told me it’s my fault because I didn’t answer my phone and they can’t give me a refund. WHAT?!! Not impressed at all. $50 down the drain

I made an order on the delivery option and I included an address. When I contacted support, they told me that it was on pick up instead. When I took screenshots and showed them, they refused to admit a systematic error on their part, despite having paid for the delivery already. When they tried to make me pay again, they asked for my credit number over the phone when I was in a public place. Unprofessional and invasive, no sense of responsibility. Thankfully the restaurant was more understanding and kept my order for me when I bused to pick it up. 5 Star Rating for Thumm's Kitchen in Cornwall, 1 star rating to Skip the Dishes

So just tried to order pizza with my girlfriend. Most drivers have never had an issue driving down the driveway as it’s always been requested. He stayed on the road and didn’t pull in. Drove off when we were only five feet away, n was chased after on a bike. So we contacted the help section and spoke to “Anu” in the help section. Not only did they say they would outright refuse to refund. They wouldn’t send him back either. So we just bought some random dinner. So they stole from us and didn’t fulfill their simple obligation. As well they blocked her phone from ordering food as well removed my favourite pizza place from the address so I couldn’t even order off my own phone. This is wrong and you should not give them ANY of your money if this is how they choose to do business. As well tried to tell me to email them and that’s how they’d resolve it. Which completely defuses the point of the “help” section on their app. As well they also removed the order number so I could not add that below

MY first and probably my last experience with this service. The items ordered from the restaurant were not correct. The delivery service chat line could not confirm the suite number that the delivery was to go to was included, only the block number of the building was on the delivery information. Then following the delivery on the tracking map, we watched the delivery driver drive all over a small city trying to find an address. Maybe he went to see his crack dealer on the way. It would have been quicker to walk to the restaurant and pick up the order and bring it back on foot. forget the tip. Screw up after screw up. No thanks.

I’ve made easily over 200 orders the past three years working two jobs and going to school I don’t have a lot of time to cook. This past year the service and quality has been so poor .. my recent experience two nights ago I ordered Indian food - one dish and naan to go with it .. was about 25 dollars after tax delivery and tip. The wrong dish was delivered and was so Spicy I couldn’t even eat it. Therefore skip did refund me that dish. Which was 13 dollars.. (even tho the whole order now was useless and I went without eating cause it was late and I wasn’t going to order again)... the next day I ordered to use my skip credits and somehow it changed to my work address .. about three blocks down the same street. And they wouldn’t drive to me. They wouldn’t give the the contact number to contact the driver and the canceled my order. While I waited about a hr for the food and about a hr trying to talk to the terrible chat service that did absolutely nothing. So I lost 25 of my hard earned dollars two nights in a row. As a student and didn’t get to eat two dinners. Absolutely no customer remorse. I’ve been a customer for 3+ years with hundreds of orders and this is how I’m treated. Terribly upsetting.
