I've been using the Skadate software for five years now and after a very slow start, things are finally looking up. That was until a month ago when I noticed I couldn't post any links to the site from the facebook page. The site had been blocked by facebook because it "breaches our community standards policy".
This review is about two aspects of Skadate and their software. Firstly, the ongoing ticket support and how they helped me resolve this issue and secondly, the security aspect of the software.
Some years ago, when I first purchased the Skadate software I found it complicated, confusing and very difficult to work with. As the time passed and I purchased more tickets the coding became clear to me and I now I find it quite easy to make changes and modifications myself.
The main reason for my review today is the support I received this last week. As I mentioned, I found myself in the position of having my site blacklisted by facebook. I Googled it and quickly realised that 1000's of others have all been in the same position and the outcome was pretty much the same... no way of resolving it!
One of the various problems was the fact that there is no way to contact facebook other than completing their 'feedback page' and that was just a waste of my time!!
Over the next three weeks I sent 326 'feedbacks' about my site being blacklisted and emailed zuckerberg three times, none of which probably even saw the light of day!
After more Googling, I saw that this same issue had affected all types of websites from personal non-profit sites to quite large commerce sites and some had even gone to the extreme lengths of changing their IP or even hosting to resolve the sites being blacklisted.
My issue with facebook was that my site had been listed on their platform with no Community Standards policy breaches for over four years and all of a sudden, 'with no changes' it now breached the policy. How could this have happened if there had been no changes?
After exhausting all avenues and realising that I may also have to go to the same extreme lengths as others such as changing my IP or even hosting, I put a ticket in to Skadate. I didn't have any live ticket open but messaged them anyway asking if they had come across this issue before and if they had any ideas.
The following day, I received a reply from Lora who had looked into the matter and taken it upon herself to contact facebook on my behalf to explain to them that my site was to a particular standard and that it did not breach their community standards policy.
Two days later, I tried posting a link to the facebook page and it worked! What a relief! I attribute this change solely to Skadate support and without it, I would now be looking into making major changes to my hosting. Facebook is a necessary evil in the game of marketing and without it, traffic generation would be much more difficult.
This covers my first aspect. Skadate support - Fantastic!
Secondly, I would like to mention the security of the Skadate/Oxwall software. I also have other sites which include Wordpress and other software coding and over the years, I have encountered many problems with hacking attempts, particularly with WordPress, even with Wordfence, Shield and other security software in place. There is always someone trying the latest tech to hack your site.
In contract to my other sites, I have never had one problem with the Skadate site regarding hacking. To me, it just seems... safe! ... and that is very reasuring!

Skadate software is awesome, it's pretty simple to use and that coming from someone who has absolutely no knowledge in scripts, HTML, or any developing skills. A round of applause is the least I can do to show my appreciation towards the staff, excellent customer service, tending to after sales queries and so much more. A full package indeed and thumbs up to the team.

Don't use Skadate. I had been using Skadate for 8 years until the beginning of this year when I moved because they nearly destroyed my business. I had used their software quite happily until they decided to change it and my old platform would no longer be supported. The migration was terrible. It started in March last year. They took 3 week instead of the few days I was quoted. My site was down for 3 weeks! Then once it was back up it was so slow, my members couldn't get on, just buffering. A dating site that you can't log onto because it timesout ALL the time. They insisted it was our server, which it wasn't. When we gave them access to our server, they finally conceded it was their software. A plugin was supposed to be the problem and was "fixed" but it made no difference. This (December last year) was when they decided to stop answering my emails and texts (yes it was so bad I had the direct number of one of the support staff in the Kyrgyz Republic). Luckily in September I had already started looking around for an alternative platform and moved in January this year. I'm now with a fantastic company with support that is second to none. I've been working hard to get my customer's trust back and now my turnover is much better than it ever was with Skadate. Look for alternatives to Skadate, they are out there.

I been using skadate software for soon 5 years and i must say they support are awsome! You can send a ticket and get reply next day :)
They helped me success with my online dating business with they awsome programming skills. When i get upset over something and really angry they ignore my anger and just help me solve it as fast as possible . very helpful people working at this company! They new mobile app are awsome and support video chat and many other cool features! I been develop plugins for them in 5 years that sells in the plugin store and i love come up with new ideas and see the software bee better and better! I suggest you buy this software i run 2 sites now with they software and very happy with the result! Thanks skadate team ....keep up the great work! ow-ghost ;)))

It was a very long and hard way to get any success in my online business when I started it 7 years ago for the first time. I tried out a lot of options offered on the Internet thinking that key for success is just a software. But, had no luck. 3 years ago I started working with Skadate and it was outstanding contribution to my business. I came with my idea and now I can make millions of people happy. My website is not a dating-related website, but the beauty of Skadate is that they can bring any idea to live! Thank you guys for making our lives easier and allowing me to believe in myself. I have been using Skadate now for over 5 years and it is quite complicated software (which is actually a good thing where security is concerned) but it is very secure programming and I've had no security issues at all since using it, but even with a fair knowledge of programming and web things I still need the help of the paid support tickets and these are $99 for a months period.
While sounding a little expensive they are actually worth their weight in gold. In this month, I put in about 20 tickets, all of which were resolved and even done for me!! If you work it out, $99 into 20 tickets works out at around $5 for each issue... You try and get that done anywhere else at that price! After making some changes, I had some outstanding issues this last month (Oct 2018) and opened a ticket and had the assistance of Lora who was absolutely brilliant!! She has a vast knowledge of how Skadate works, offered help and advice and gave much more help than I expected and resolved all my outstanding issues. Her support is definitely a 5 stars score! Skadate software is a secure, stable platform and when all set up correctly runs perfectly. I recommend it!

I had been building my business with skadate software for 3 years - it was ok - you will never do great with their software, but you can do 'OK'. Then I asked a simple question about why something wasn't working. There support did something with 'Crons' that brought my entire site down. Nothing but a white page and some code was left for my steadily growing membership database to be greeted by. I thought they would correct the mistake they made within a few hours. They didn't. In fact I sent several emails requesting they fix whatever they did and get my site that I had invested thousands into and spent years working on - back online. No response. My site has been down for 4 weeks now due to a mistake they made that I need them to fix but they won't - maybe they cant, maybe they just don't care? SKADATE IS BIZARRE - WEIRD - HORRIBLE! I consider my business at this point over. I can attach a screen grab of the 'support' I received. There wasn't any! Its disgusting - DO NOT BUILD YOUR CASTLE ON SAND WITH SKADATE. Their lack of professionalism, ignorance and dumb mistakes will eventually wreck your business.

I've been SUFFERING through their AWFUL "technical support" for 2 years now. It seems like every time I'm in trouble with their software, they have some excuse. The MOST RECENT is that they have removed the customer forums (where customers could get REAL help, not the Skadate awful technical support!) They say "Oh, the new forum will be up on Monday. I highly doubt it, but even if it is, it's RIDICULOUS that they didn't leave it up for existing customers to access while they build a new one.
I'm toward the tail-end of a site redesign, and there's a bug (there's LOTS of bugs!) that is stopping me - yet their technical "support" isn't available until Monday - and they removed the one thing that has helped them - the community forums.
Aside from that, Skadate DOES NOT SCALE! Their database is SOO SLOW that you have to throw TONS of resources at it just to make it usable. Their "mobile app" is even worse! It's not responsive, and they charge paying customers for the app (which is awful to start with), then they charge for "customization" which is worse than the base application!
SERIOUSLY AVOID SKADATE AT ALL COSTS! COME UP WITH ANY OTHER PLAN THAN USING THEM!

I tried a couple of other dating scripts before purcasing Skadate.. I like some ska themes, mobile apps and decided to try this solution.
Support installed the script for me quickly, helped with basic settings within my free month of support.
My site is fully operational so the overall experience of the software and support was good.

For some inconceivable reason skadate really likes to upset their customers. It takes about 1 or 2 months to get your head around the admin side of the software. Once the site is up and running with active users you will start noticing a lot of unfinished or half-baked features that the users will complain about. Try talking to support about these issues and they will promise to fix it in the next release, but the fix never happens. Some people have been waiting for 3-4 years for things that a developer could patch in an hour.
As it stands here are some pending issues that are on their to do list that we called out Have a read and make your purchase decision wisely.
1. Support for multilingual emails. Right now the only messages that get sent out in the language of the user are the registration confirmation emails. All other emails are in the default site language.
2. Matchmaking algorithm does not take into account the "Match Age" criteria that the user specifies during sign up. Why is the match age field there if it plays no role in matchmaking?
3. Language packs offered by skadate are poorly translated. The quality of translation is similar to that of Google translate.
4. Notification emails for Winks arrive whilst user's session is active. This results in high volume of unsubscribes. Wink emails should instead be included in the digest email similar to other notifications.

Couple of words about my site first.
I am using Skadate script for a rather specific niche where "dating" per say is actually more of an interest matchmaking process.
I have clubs who would like to find members and members looking for a club to join.
Well, Skadate script so far works great for me.
Some features do not come out of box. Well I did expect this, thus got an Advanced solution with some free development hours to cover major modification of mine - connecting events to clubs.
Events feature was there by default ( another awesome thing is ability to use third party plugins). Just needed some adjustments to get a more flowless process for my niche.
Pleased with the modification performed.
A word of advice - talk to Natalie and confirm all modifications details beforehand. She is very helpful in determining what extra stuff you might need but don’t know about. Loved working with her!

I HIGHLY recommend SkaDate to anyone!
The admin panel is easy to use. I got the hang of it pretty quick. Their themes are stunning, especially Mosaic - love it to bits. I was also very impressed with their support. I've read a lot of negative feedback about people saying that SkaDate is not helpful and that they charge expensive fees for support, that is simply NOT TRUE! I had to wait a few hours to get replies on my questions, but I got a friendly, helpful and professional answer every time! I would like to extend a warm thank you to Anna at SkaDate for all the time she has invested in helping me get my site up and running. Guys, you won't regret going with SkaDate. They are the best solution out there.

For 300 bucks (I got it during black friday), I got exactly what I wanted - a script that I can play around with and start a site. Also, I managed to setup everything within the first month of free support, so I don't know if support changes ones the free one runs out. But yeah, they installed it for me and helped with some of the options. If I had to take a jab at this soft, it'd be complex admin panel, but with this amount of options I choose to ignore most of it and work with the stuff I need, which you learn after first few tries.

I have tried them all. These are all simple pieces of software in case you don't happen to have $100,000 to develop your own dating site. I can say that Skadate is the most professional company in terms of support and the product is definitely the best among its class. I've started a site for my town and it keeps signing up users after some basic SEO.

Overall as a new Skadate customer, I have been extremely impressed and overall extremely satisfied with the support team that supports this system.
I've spent the past 20 years in the executive management level of IT as both director and chief information officer and I believe the true pride in a IT based company or IT department is project delivery and customer support. Your organization has 5 out of 5 stars as far as I'm concerned in the customer support arena and I only don't rate project delivery because I have not had a chance to experience it.
As with most IT individuals, our best trait in our career is OCD. So far every little tiny thing I have come to issue with the support team has not only quickly help me resolve considering the time difference but is done it with a smile that I can feel in the email alone.
Kudos to your team and thank you for providing me with a platform that gets me off the ground quickly and showing true support for the issues I may encounter. I plan on developing at least three more dating sites and without a doubt I will be licensing them do your organization and that's not even begin to talk about the fact that you guys are now offering custom code. In the month or so that I have been engage with your organization you have truly won, no earned, a lifetime customer. Keep up the good work.
