Det er en ommer Sixt, vi min kæreste og jeg har lige fået opkrævning på skader vi efter jeres mening har forvoldt jeres udlejningsbil, vi modtager en rimelig ny polo som har du første 8-10 synlige lakskader og en liste med standart beskrivelser af nogle af skaderne og set i bagspejlet burde vi før lejen have fotograferet bilen igennem og det er her det går galt, hvorfor har sixt ikke bare fotos af deres biler før og efter så er det jo rimeligt let at konstaterer skader der er sket under lejen, måske jeg er lidt ærekær, når jeg igennem 10 dage passer på bilen som var det min egen uden nogen form for skade, så bliver jeg sku harm når jeg bliver taget i r.øven af en synsmand som nærmest havde udset sig skaden, for resten af bilen blev ikke kigget efter, her tænker jeg hvorfor mon!!! Så Sixt det er sidste gang og nej kommer ikke til at anbefale jer til andre.

That is a redo Sixt!!! We, me and my girlfriend have just been charged for damages we never have done. ”500 Euro” We receive a reasonable new polo which hade the first 8-10 visible paint damage and we got a list of standard descriptions of some of the damage and It is very easy to be wise in hindsight. we should have photographed the car before the rent. ”but in this case we trusted Sixt”
But this is where it goes wrong, why didnt Sixt do that!!! Then it would be reasonably easy to ascertain damage that happened during the rent!! ”We can only guess why”
When we for 10 days took god care of the car, as if it`s was our own car without any damages, then it hurts when we return the car and the gay who inspected the car, looked and found the scratch on the right side of the car right away and then noted this scratch in his papers without browsing the rest of the car, ”He had obviously found what he needed to find” So Sixt it i the last time we will use you and we will not recommend anyone to your compagny ewer.

I was one of a party who hired a 9 seater Citroen from Sixt at Bordeaux Airport. Two days into the holiday the vehicle suffered a clutch failure and was undriveable. We contacted Sixt who arranged a pick up truck to take the vehicle to a repair garage. Sixt managed to find a replacement vehicle the following day and offered to send a taxi to transport one of our drivers from Montpazier ,where we were staying, to Bordeaux to take delivery of the replacement All went well from then on until our return home. We were pleased that Sixt initially paid compensation of € 109 as recognition of the distress and inconvenience resulting in the loss of 2 days of our holiday.
Shortly after this we were amazed to receive a demand for an unspecified damage of € 771. We asked if by “damage” did they mean breakdown, then that was a mechanical failure and something beyond our control. We also pointed out that by paying compensation, it indicated that they accepted responsibility for the breakdown. They failed to define what the unspecified damage referred to and repeated the demand for € 771, also suggesting we look to our insurance to pay this amount.
It was only after we suggested we could/should counter claim for negligence ie supply of a vehicle which was unsafe and not fit for use, that Sixt said after review they would as a matter of “goodwill” withdraw their demand for € 771.
What is it about Car Hire companies in general and Sixt in particular that results in so many complaints regarding unfounded extra charges. In our case this was a blatant attempt to fund a new clutch in a defective vehicle. As it was a relatively new car they would have been better employed checking with the manufacturer if the clutch was still under warranty.
If these Car Hire companies can’t operate without badgering customers with excess false claims, they need to be driven out of business and for this there needs to be a strong watchdog association.

I rented car in Eilat, Israel in the end of November 2018. I made my reservation through Sixt web-wite and picked my Opel Corsa at local office. Procedure was very fast, only reservation, passport and driver licence were needed. And I also order full insurance which was 16$ per day. So I just took my car in 5 minutes after my arrival to local office. Employees were nice and helpful towards me.Vehicle was in good technical condition and was tidy inside. After my trip I returned back car in the office, it was checked fast and also employees were nice. I paid all amount via my credit card with no additional (hide) charges as it happens sometimes with rental companies. So Sixt receives max point from me for their professionalism and high-level service. Definitely I will cooperate with them in the future! Thank you, Sixt!!!

Returned from Geneva French Side on Saturday having dropped of Sixt rental. Despite telephoning Sixt using their telephone from the drop off area to request a joint inspection, Sixt employee refused as insisted I park the car and bring the keys to the desk in the airport. Today I received a damage report for a >10cm dent in rear passenger side door with no paint damage. I did no damage to the car and its condition had not changed between pick up and drop off. The pick-up paperwork indicates a >10cm dent in rear driver side door. So what Sixt seem to be saying is that the car now has two identical dents on each passenger door. Whats the odds of that? Or maybe they just mixed up their passenger and driver sides. Or maybe they are genuinely trying to rip me off. Jordy at the desk was insistent that I give them a top review - what a bunch of cowboys!
Update - Sixt contacted me today 3rd April to ask for further details. Having reviewed the information I provided, they do not intend to pursue me for any damage costs i.e.it would appear that they have mixed up the passenger/driver side of a pre-existing dent.

For a trip with 3 friends, I reserved a car with Sixt with my platinum level at Sixt. After unfortunately missing my flight, the friends showed up at the lease location to pick up the car.
Although I mentioned one of them as a second driver, Sixt did not allow them to use the rate for my reservation. They ended up having to make a new reservation for a much higher rate.
When I finally arrived at the Sixt location, using a later flight. I was answered with only the rules as stated in the book. And the sentence: "If we have to help all customers with unfortunate circumstances, we would have to hire twice as much people."
Sorry Sixt, this does not do! I'm sure you can do better.

The office was inside Istanbul airport terminal. Clearly visible. The staff were very friendly and communicate in clear English. The paperwork was completely very quick and efficiently. We walked a few minutes into the multi-storey carpark and the car was clean and ready for us as requested with a child seat. Upon returning the vehicle. We dropped it off at the same point and the handover was completed in minutes. No delay or fuss. I’d always recommend Sixt as I use them in many different countries. Thank you for your services

Customer service was excellent. Very straightforward and speedy. Much smoother checkin than most rental companies
Only problem was with vehicle. It should have had winter tires. I realize these are not required by law until October 1 but perhaps weather forecasts should have dictated an earlier installation. In the second half of September we ran into very icy conditions on the major route and very nearly went off the road. When I told the service agent he was sympathetic but said they did not install winter tires until October. Sticking to rigid time lines is not a good idea

I travel a lot to work and for this I am very demanding when choosing my suppliers. For renting cars I always prefer Sixt because the website is very easy to use and presents all the information I need. Another very important point is the fleet, I always get a brand new and comfortable cars.
