I write for a third time to elicit a sensible response from the company. I made repeated orders on the website using a fully-functioning Amex. As background, the card had space that was equivalent to approximately ten times the order value, the transaction amount was further checked on Amex site to show capacity, the card is used without issue on a raft of French websites that ask for the same data points (simple and advanced security, eg Amazon), without being gauche the card is used on much larger remote transactions (eg one bed I purchased remotely the week before cost seventeen times the value of my Simba order) and on one occasion the order amount even showed up in pending transactions on the Amex site, so did get through.
Notwithstanding, the various orders, after having been accepted, were shortly thereafter declined, with the rather uninformative message in French below. I interacted with the site’s customer service via e-mail (no other way to do so), and they were not able to provide any further details, or assist to process the order in any other way.
Customer service is, unfortunately, very lacking, offering limited replies to queries and inaccurate (verging on deceptive) replies to my Trustpilot submissions. In the last response, they wrote “I can see our FR team have been in touch with you via email and explained the reasoning in full, if you have any further questions, please contact the team via bonjour simbamatelas.fr” Unfortunately, this is inaccurate, as the customer service team stated “votre commande n’a pas passé les contrôles effectués par notre service financier”, and, repeatedly, could not explain which control it had failed (see above my comments re the card). The e-mail address does not elicit any personalized response, and you will be left with the impression that the respondent either does not know the issue, or does not care to help a customer solve it.
My reason for writing is for the company, if it wishes to do what is right and genuinely offer customer service, to reach out to me and resolve my simple request to purchase on their site. I mean them no harm. Equally, I feel it is necessary to warn other customers of the paper-thin and automated nature of their customer service. Perhaps to be expected when the product is so cheap (as better customer service costs money), but still disappointing.
PS One interesting fact – prices have gone up since my various attempts. Will they honour my original orders?!? I have no evidence that the site is a “bait and switch”, equally I am a little surprised by their lack of basic procedures.

Easy ordering online. Fast, free delivery. So easy to use, just carry the box to the room, use the special tool to remove the mattress from the vacuum bag and wait a few hours. Will never buy a conventional mattress again. Best nights sleep in years! Highly recommend.

I have to say if you are out looking for a mattress that is comfortable, good on your posture and affordable don't look further. Also the ease of the delivery just makes this a no brainer

Customer service is quick and responsive. I think the mattress is comfortable but I've been having some hip pain, so I don't know if it's related. They keep their promises.

We live in France, the first arrived in less than 24 hours! liked it decided on one for the spare bed. trouble is english bed is 200x150 french bed 190x140. Our rep (Kezi) sorted the whole lot, sent a mattrass from england, and we got 15% discount!

I have a herniated disc lower back. This mattress is incredible I can finally sleep without pressure pain. I don’t usually rave about products but for me this is the best mattress I’ve had.
The design of this thing has been so well thought out. The spring layer keeps you not only supported but keeps your body perfectly in line so you wake feeling no pressure on your back or hips. Sleeping on your side works, on your back works. I don’t roll as much in the night because it keeps you comfortable without pressure. Also it has a slight bit of spring to it so unlike those memory foam mattresses that claim an astronaut slept on it you can actually move without feeling like your experiencing 12 g’s of gforce just to roll over. Read my tempur review you’ll understand what I’m talking about!!
Simba must be a company who has to be run by someone who got so annoyed with how bad the mattress market is he/she clearly have decided to fix this issue for good.
When you look at the price yes there a lot but compared to tempur which I have to say are no where near as good as simba there half the price of a tempur and built better. So that also shows a company keeping there prices realistic. I will now stay with simba. Finally a company that has cracked it and kept the price for everyday people a company with there feet on the ground. We bought ours from John Lewis again another good company John Lewis took the tempur back after 5 months and fully refunded us so we bought the simba from them too. I’d advise buying from John Lewis or simba themselves for complete piece of mind as if anything does go wrong you are covered
