Unbelievably bad experience from an online kitesurfboard purchase from Side-shore.com. I ordered a lightly used second hand Firewire kitesurfboard that was supposed to be in ”Like new condition” in every aspect according to the description of the board at their website. “In very clean condition” was added to the description of the condition via email.
The first issue was when the board had been sent and I tried to ask via email what was the courier company they were using so I could use the tracking code they provided. I sent 3 emails during 1,5 week asking this same question without getting an answer.
When I received the board I counted 9 repairs on the board with one of them being a severe ding on the rail where a 9 cm piece of the wooden rail had been replaced with a piece of new wood (standard way to repair a Firewire balsa rail but a major repair none the less). To me a board with 9 repairs on it is NOT in ”Like new condition”. At least it should be mentioned in the description or if one asks for information about the item.
I received the board 11.5. and since then I have sent 3 emails to Side-shore trying to them ask about the possible return of the item or some sort of compensating refund. I have still got no response from them.
I am very disappointed in the service from Side-shore and I unfortunately can not recommend ordering from them.
