I purchased cabinetry from this company and the owner Monica. The only complaint I had was the cabinet came damaged but Monica was great in getting it fixed. For the money over all I am happy with this company

Just like everyone else on here I was also scammed by this Frank Lamark. He now has a company called cabinetmania that he is using to do the same thing. I am owed 2340.00. Please stay away from his company .
Update: After 7 months I finally did receive a check in the mail. Zero communication from this company for the previous 4 months. Had to file complaints with the BBB, attorney general, and the fbi internet crime dept. Do not pay for your products with a debit from your bank account!!!! Use credit card only. I hope you change your practices their Frank and stop trying to swindle people out of their money!!!

Rip Off! They were so late that my house sold and I no longer needed the cabinets. Only Use Credit Card...........They have not responded to any emails for a year. Time to file a police report. Check out their BBB rating. Very Sad!

I wish I had found this site prior to my purchase on 4/26/2016 (order# 200000647). After a timing issue arose, I was assured my order would be canceled, and a refund check issued. The check never arrived, and l started taking steps toward resolution (filing complaints with appropriate parties). I received an email stating that a check had been mailed "awhile ago" and that they would re send it if I verified my address. I did so, however, eight months later, I have no refund. My eyes have been opened regarding a serious issue in e-commerce.
I will update this review if/when I receive a refund. In the meantime, I am SERIOUSLY regretting my ignorance in trusting this company.

No refund no cabinets
On May 20, 2016 I place an order with shoprtacabinets.com. Five years ago I order from this company but it was under a different name at that time. Instead of researching them I just ordered because I didn't have any issues five years ago. It's November and still no cabinets. I have emailed and called the number on their website. I have never actually talked to a person. Occasionally I get an email back stating that my order is set to ship the following week. Once the following week comes and goes I start emailing and calling again same thing over and over. I decided I would research them online only to discover that this has happened to thousands of people. Thousands of dollars spent and people never getting a refund or a product. The attorney general of Chicago filed a complaint against this company last year and the website is still running and able to take people's money. Please help!!

I have had the same problems everyone else has had. Exempt for the couple good reviews that are obviously from the fake company themselves. I ordered cabinets in Nov. 2015 and had nothing but lies told to me. I tried cancelling the order in Jan. 2016, and I was told in April that I would get my refund within 30 days. I'M STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND!!!!

Please do not order from them! It is just a scam! Any positive reviews you see was written by them as part of their scam! I order cabinets on September 20. No cabinets as of November 25th. I contacted them to cancel after 8 weeks and no response. I have emailed and left phone messages daily confirming that I have cancelled my order and I want a refund. No response. Here are the signs I should have heeded: 1- You can't talk to a person, ever. You can only leave a message or send an email. 2- They only accept full payment e-checks up front, no credit cards, which means you can't dispute with you card company to get your money back. Please, save yourself a headache and don't order at all from them!

This company will take your money and not respond to any inquiries. It has now been 5 months no shipment no refund after multiple emails and phone calls. If there people read this my order number is 200000470. I just want my money back already bought other cabinets so I could finish my remodel.

Shop RTA Cabinets Frank Lamark Scam
I was searching for cabinets and located the information at this site then did a Google search for Shop RTA Cabinets and Frank Lamark and located even more information. I'm not so sure people realize how deep this scam goes or how long it's apparently been going on for many years now. I located information at the BBB, Trust Pilot, People Ferret, Illinois State Attorney site, Rip-off report, many complaints sites and more. This is not a complaint (I never purchased) but it's a warning to people to do their research first or if already scammed by Shop RTA Cabinets then to report him to "their" State Attorney General. I was lucky I hope this helps someone.

We bought our home in February began remodel decided to wait until new floors were done to order our cabinets. On 7/9/15 ordered our shop rta cabinets with hopes of being in our new home just before school started. Well WRONG!!! shoptracabinets has scammed another person out of $2753. Only sending us some auto replies that they will send an email once our order is shipped within 2-8 weeks of placing our order. Well math 101 says that they failed that course, too! Still no cabinets! no refund! but plenty of frustration!!! Oh and still not moved in arrrgggg!

I sure wish I would have read all of these reviews earlier. They are identical to the problem I am having. My order was placed on May 27,2015 and has been listed as pending since then. I have not received any emails from the company. When I try to call I get an automated service that does not give you the option to speak to a live person. I have left numerous voicemails and emails, all with no reply.This company has really gotten me into a jam.

I purchased cabinets on 4/17/15 waited over 12 weeks for cabinets then asked for refund that has never happened. I have turned them in to the FTC and the FBI along with the Attorney General of Illinois. I googled internet fraud and the federal department of justice came up. I plan on calling them soon and turning him in they have a fraud main switchboard number to call. I am also going to call the FBI in Chicago and alert them. It said on the DOJ website to call your local FBI as well as turning them in on the main website. There is also the governors office of citizens assistance in Illinois that you can call. I don't know how much good this will do but I am hoping to save someone else from losing their money.

Prior to ordering, "Mary" answered questions quickly. With the assurance my cabinets were in stock, I paid nearly $2300 via direct bank draft (order # 200000438) with the promise that my order would get on the truck within 48 hours of receiving the money.
That was on 3/31/15. The company never gave me a real answer as to where my order was or to the status. Eventually, I canceled my order and they said they would send a refund check out within 7 days. That was 5/1/15 and I have not received the check.
I filed a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General who as it turns out has filed a lawsuit against them for promising and never delivering cabinets.
I still have no response from ShopRTACabinets.com.
I now have no choice but to further escalate this matter. Really rotten to have to chase after theives.

I purchased my cabinets in December of 2013. It was free shipping over $2000, which I exceeded. I paid an extra $350 to get expedited shipping (2 weeks). I didn't get a partial shipment until 2 months later. I received another partial shipment in September 2014. Up until today, they never delivered my spice rack insert (I bought one myself elsewhere), or neither refunded the expedited shipping, nor cabinet sample (in case you ordered the cabinets through them). I want about $600 back for the service and materials they sold, but failed to provide.
Communication is iffy at best. They seem to turn the phones off for days on end and 'returning calls' doesn't happen. Don't expect to get e-mails answered. Their practices are criminal. When you get a hold of someone they will "look into it", "Check with accounting" or another standard dismissive answer. I have a huge e-mail string with about 15 other clients who bought the cabinets around the same time I did and they mass corresponded to all of us regarding pending cabinets. All the other clients had the same issues.
As I'm reading these threads, I realize that this is their standard practice. Don't deal with them.

I paid $3,400 for cabinets that were supposed to ship in 2-4 weeks, that date has come and gone, with no way of contacting a live person for information I can only assume I've lost my money.
EDIT: It has now been 7 months since this company took my money, they will not communicate with me, they have not responded to my complaint through the BBB. I have also lodged complaints through the FBI internet fraud unit and FCC for false advertising on TV. Next stop is a lawyer.
This company is a SCAM ... you have been warned !

I wanted to update this post. I have been pleasantly surprised by ShopRTACabinets. I got my cabinets i 3 weeks. The were very nice. They have been very good and have contacted me on several occasions to discuss my order. I was very pleased! I previously purchased from Shoprtacabinets. I was happy with the cabinets when they finally arrived (Six month after the order with many calls with no response). I needed a few more cabinets to match the ones that I previously purchased and couldn't find them anywhere else. So I ordered from them again with the same experience. They cashed my check (they don't except cc's) told me the cabinets would ship the next week as they had them in stock. Three weeks later no communication from them after numerous attempts to contact them!

I ordered $2,600 of cabinets from the. After repeated excuses for not shipping (10+ weeks) I finally asked to cancel my order. The promised refund check never came.
This company is a scam.
Updated 3/30/15 - Company posted that refund check has been sent. I have not seen that check yet. If I get it and it clears my bank I will update this review.
Also, Illinois Attorney General has contacted me that they have not received a reply from the company regarding my complaint.
Updated 4/20/15 - I did eventually get a refund. It came about a month after they stated that they were sending it.

Took money from my bank account, fraudulent
Fraud, took $3324 from my bank account. Pretends to sell RTA kitchen cabinets where in fact it just scams money out of you. Looks legit but BBB and others are on them. Owner, Frank Lamark keeps opening new stores and scamming people. Frank called me when I was shopping for cabinets and once I placed an order, no one would answer my calls. After 2 months of not being able to reach a live person, I realized it is a scam. Website should be shut down and owner put to jail and refund all the money.

I was promised for 2-4 week delivery on order# 100001791 as well as everyone else for 3k. That was December 30, 2014. They have responded to some of my emails but will not tell me when my order will be cancelled or when I will get a refund. I am in the middle of a construction loan and they are costing me money daily. I Would be delighted to have a refund but didn't look like it will happen. Obviously I will have to file fraud charges or something.

I purchased $3000 worth of cabinets and paid extra $450 to have them shipped in 2 days. After 5 days, the company refuses to give tracking information, although their website stated that they would provide that info.
I cancelled the order as i did not have time to play games and I did not have time to wait and see if they did send it.
After 2 months of promises that the check is in the mail or that the money is electronically deposited into your account, I filed complaints with several govt agencies and spoke with a detective in Illinois. It wasn't until I spoke with the detective and the detective contacted the company that I receive an email from the owner Shop Rta Cabinets with promise of the refund to be received by this upcoming week. I look forward to that coming in the mail. I will update this thread if the refund shows up. I would not order from any company that does not accept credit cards.

I ordered kitchen cabinets from ShopRTACabinets.com on 5/26/14 and paid just under $6000. Their website looked good, with great customer ratings. They do not take credit cards, but only direct bank account payments. The website promises delivery in 2-5 weeks. The cabinets were not delivered in that time, and it was almost impossible to reach anyone there to ask for status updates (we have placed upwards of 20 phone calls to the company, but someone named [name] has only answered 1 time). They responded to our email messages twice that the cabinets would ship out the "next week" and once they even responded that the cabinets had already shipped. However, no cabinets ever arrived. Eventually we cancelled our order on 8/12/2014 (through our attorney) but they never responded that they received our cancellation until I complained to the Chicago area BBB (btw, check the complaints for this company and it's affiliated company, Cabinets Direct, both have grades of F for similar issues). The message from Shop RTA Cabinets, via the BBB, was that we would receive our refund within 30 days (as promised on their website). That never came. When we complained again through the BBB, they vaguely responded that they would send the refund "ASAP". We responded that we wanted a date the refund would be sent, but they never responded to the BBB or us after that. It is now 10/28/14 and we have yet to receive a refund.

I ordered cabinets from (name) authorizing an electronic check (BIG MISTAKE) because Shop RTA doesn't accept credit cards " because they pass the savings along to the consumer". The 2-5 week delivery was a bit long but the cabinets were pretty and affordable. After five weeks passed with no cabinets or contact from Shop RTA, I started calling and emailing daily (6/13/14). Despite their claims that they will call you in one business day they have not returned my calls once in almost 2 months. Shop RTA finally emailed me after I told them I was going to contact the Illinois BBB. They said they did not have our lower cabinets. We had taken apart part of our kitchen the weekend before the 5 week delivery date. I suggested they substitute another cream maple cabinet they had and I was told that was unacceptable as it was 3x as much and that we could get a refund. I said that was fine, when could we expect our refund? Shop RTA didn't respond until I asked the BBB to intervene. On 6/26/14 Shop RTA told the BBB and myself that they were sending out our refund 7/7/14. Two weeks passed without a refund and again I asked the BBB to intervene. On 7/22/14 Shop RTA emailed saying that our order was canceled and that they had issued a refund and they had attached a pdf of a Chase Online Schedule a Payment with a Send by date of 7/23/14 and a deliver by date of 7/30/14. It is 8/7/14. I emailed them and they continue to say "the check is in the mail" I had even asked them for a Fed Ex tracking number after the first time they said they had sent it out. Shop RTA has not responded to the latest BBB request for refund. Hopefully Shop RTA will step up and take care of its customers who have filed complaints with the BBB.
2/12/15 We did receive our cabinets FINALLY. We saw all of the people waiting to be refunded like us (& Frank Lamark ' s People Ferret report) and realized we should would be lucky to get anything out of them so we did change our mind and ask for our cabinets. Anyone who would send you a FAKE refund invoice is shady to say the least. At about that time the Illinois AG contacted Shop RTA and we don't know if that helped but it probably didn't hurt. It was still a ton of aggravation and waiting since we got our first 6 pieces August 26th and then there was almost no communication until we received the other 6 pieces about 10/30. Buyer beware. We will NEVER authorize another electronic check purchase like this. You have no way of getting your money back after it is removed from your account. I truly hope that Shop RTA gets their act together and refunds or fills the customers orders that have been waiting for a long time. Our excitement of having a new kitchen last summer turned into aggravation, frustration, and disappointment. The cabinets are very nice but not worth the stress and extra work of filing complaints with agencies and consumer websites.
