Ship skis made it easy to ship my skis and boots home from my ski trip. All four bags were picked up on time and delivered to my house early in great condition. Thank you

Used them once for New Years trip to Utah from Alabama and everything was smooth and no delays. Much better than dragging a family and skis thru an airport and on top of a rental car and the additional cost of a ski rack etc. Booking as I speak for another trip out West. I would advise to ALWAYS ADD A FEW DAYS cushion on the arrival date as you are going into possible weather delays if the snow is good! Resorts all have storage for these now so getting them there a week in advance is just smart.

I was shipping 2 setups from/to different places at the same time. ShipSki was super easy. All I had to do was give them the dimensions and weight and, they took care of the rest. One of my shipments was delayed getting out due to a national holiday in Japan, but ShipSki knew about it before I did, and kept in close touch with me to make sure the boards got picked up properly from the hotel.
I used ShipSki to switch out my snowboards for my wakeboards as I switch seasons in my travels.
I will absolutely use them again!

Word of warning - their guarantee to deliver on time is not worth a thing. Even though I scheduled my skis to arrive two days before my first day of skiing, shipskis.com went cheap on the delivery option and didn’t ensure that they could be delivered on a Saturday. With a one day weather delay, this means my skis don’t arrive until my last day of our short trip. Had to pay hundreds for rentals on top of the shipping fee - would have come out ahead in both cost and hassle just renting. Shipskis.com guarantee says they’ll reimburse for rentals - that’s a lie. They claimed it was out of their control. Don’t make the same bad choice I did and use another service or just rent.

So it began with a search for the cheapest way to ship my snowboards from my sisters house to my dads house. After tons of quotes and probably some wasted time on the internet I discovered Shipskis was cheapest. I decided to have my boards picked up from my sisters house so she wouldn’t have to lug them around. However she didn’t get them outside in time so I emailed Shipskis and they said it was fine to just drop them off at fedex and gave me a list of locations close to my sisters house. She dropped them off and they were on their way to my dads. I planned for the boards to arrive at my dads the day before I did. They didn’t show up. I wasn’t worried. A day late for an oversized item isn’t a big deal. Next day, they still didn’t show up. So I went to my email to contact Shipskis. They had already emailed me explaining my boards were late due to weather. Awesome. Next day birds still don’t show up. I’m irritated. Of course Shipskis isn’t personally delivering my boards but the contracted fedex for me so I kinda go off on their customer service representative. He was totally understanding and made me feel like he cared more about my boards being delivered than even I did. They even offered to contract a secondary courier if my boards weren’t delivered that day. Well my boards showed up, in great condition. Skipskis customer service will do literally anything they can to help you. That, coupled with their reasonable price tag, is why I give them 5 stars. Well done.

I had an amazing experience with Ship Skis. My boyfriend and I were shipping our ski gear from Japan back to the United States while we continued traveling through Asia.
My emails were responded to very quickly, usually within a few hours. During my phone call to set up my shipment, I was a little nervous about dropping/leaving our gear in a foreign country but the representative on the phone made me feel more comfortable and confident.
We left our ski gear with our hotel as we had a flight to catch to head to Thailand. The gear was picked up from the hotel in Japan.
I received email notifications and confirmations to remind me when/how to prepare my shipment, that my shipment had been picked up, and that my shipment had arrived. Our ski gear made it to my friend's house in Denver, CO in around 48 hours and arrived in the exact same shape we shipped it in.
When skiing overseas, my boyfriend and I will be using Ship Skis again.

My equipment was picked up on time and arrived on time, in tact and at the right location. However considering I had to go to Fedex and CVS to make up the labels, it may have been quicker for me just to go to Fedex as Ship Skis is just effectively reselling Fedex. I'm not sure if Fedex would have picked it up at my hotel or not. The customer service professional from Ship Skis that I talked to on the phone was very helpful.

The customer service was exceptional and first class. Our skiis showed up with no issues. The only problem we had was finding the boxing to ship our skiis (the FEDEX store provides boxes at a cost).
Pricing remains a big concern. Standard ground ship rates still cost me $125 for 2 sets of skiis. It would have been cheaper to take them on the flight.

This company knows what they are doing and what your needs are. Because the owners are active too. Call them. They are the best. I’ve used them 3x. 100% more than satisfied each time. If you are traveling to an out of the way destination, domestic— Plan—give them the extra day you know it will take. If Intl, they know the rules and timing. I couldn’t be happier. I went to Niseko, Japan. Perfect. Skis were there 1 day before me just as they said. Ask questions. They have the answers.

For some reason, the app doesn't allow for dropoff at DHL courier site in Toronto so this has to be done by phone. The app only gives a Fedex option, but Ship Skis uses DHL exclusively in Toronto.

This would be a great service if the website was not so clunky. I have used the service three times, the first the web site worked fine, the second I had to give up and call, the third it took me three tries because it was asking for a return date on a one way shipment.

So easy to use.
I am never dragging my skis to the airport again so I can pay extra and than have them left behind at the airport. Nor will I pay to rent for the entire vacation. Even if it did dump snow, rent for the day anyway.
(but when was the last powder dump)

Largely happy with the service. Areas for improvement might include:
- clarify whether the company is “shipstix” or “shipskis”; it seems there is separate websites but the phone support, email correspondence and invoices etc all refer to shipstix (and golfing!). This added a bit of confusion to the process.
- I had planned to include my ski jacket and pants etc in the ski bag I posted (as this is the standard way of packaging ski gear). When I printed off the postage’s labels however I discovered that I was unable to include this extra gear in the bag. As such I had no choice but to discard valuable ski gear as I couldn’t fit it into my remaining bag (ski socks, thermal
Underwear, mid-later). I can think of no reason (other than profiteering) why this rule is in place...

major issues on the return of my equipment. Carrier was not showing up and while Ship skis did keep in touch it was already information that I had. The were trying to work with the resort reps as to keeping my equipment safe and again, it was all after the fact as I had already done this sooner instead off later. Ultimately, my stuff made it back, 3 weeks later than promised and ironically, by the method I had suggested during my first call. Way too my players in the game to use them again, specially when all that was done is they made the phone call to DHL instead of doing it myself. 1/18- Update, I did get a return call from Shipskis addressing my concerns and issues. They are trying to go all out and make good on any issues. I understand my problems arrived due to the locations of my shipping and international issues. The end game is I did get my equipment back later than promised but shipskis did step up and offer up restitution. I will use them again and hopefully the next trip will be 5 star.

Every aspect of Ship Ski's was positive. We needed to ship 2 sets of nordic skis, 2 downhill sets and a snowboard from VA to Jackson Hole, WY. I spoke with Ship Ski representatives on 3 occasions to assist with box weight & sizing as well as delivery coordination. Each time all reps were most helpful. The skis were picked up from my home and delivered to Jackson and returned to my home on time (a day early for both, actually). I understand that their services can include luggage, golf clubs etc. We will use Ship Skis in future, and have encouraged many of my friends and colleagues to try them as well.
