Ordered a Colnago stem after recent bike fit. After emailing and calling internationally several times, with false promises of the order being sent. I finally recieved the stem, not the one I ordered but a different model. I gave up complaining and sold the stem on eBay. :/

Have had £135 of my money for 3 weeks for a saddle that was supposedly in stock HAVE NOT EVEN RECEIVED AN EMAIL TO SAY WHEN MY GOODS WILL BE DELIVERED, IF THEY WILL BE DELIVERED, have emailed, called and used the web interface, NOTHING, any place else this would be considered THEFT by deception. The one stars below tell the story. If you want to donate money to these people go ahead, wish I had come here before ordering. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID, THERE SHOULD BE A NO STARS OPTION
Update - email from Faser, "shipped last week have you not had a card?" What a scam, to answer his question, OF COURSE NOT! These people are scum. Like the post above I hope PayPal shuts them down, I have launched a complaint as well.

I have to speak as I find.
Ordered a complete Campag Record Groupset, was not in a rush & after a week chased them & it was delivered the following day.
I had spoken to Fraser & he was very helpful - maybe we are all spoilt by bigger on-line shop who deliver promptly but are more expensive.
Regards LBS, I used to use one in South Devon, near the A38 but when it got to paying up front for the order then being exceedingly [not allowed to write the exact word but you can guess] messed around on delivery, 'not in stock at suppliers/none in the country', excuse, then waiting weeks & weeks. Just about to order from Shiney Bikes again so will keep you posted.

Purchased a set of wheels which I called the next day and cancelled. Was promised a refund on to my credit card, 3 weeks later nothing. Try to it is engaged and we form never gets answered. Website now down and no answer on the phone.
Did some research and looks like same people who owned Bling Bike Kit Ltd which is dissolved at the Companies House.
Now have the tedious process to get a fprefund via card provider. Shocking to read the sad story of the lady who ordered a week for her partner.

Ordered a couple of water bottles on the basis that the website stated they were in stock, that orders would be processed within 48 hours and that shipping would be 2-3 days for the UK. Paid by PayPal. Immediately received an automated and somewhat perfunctory email stating that the order would be processed 'once payment has been confirmed' - which seemed rather at odds with the concept of paying by PayPal, but anyway...
Then nothing further. After 6 days I sent an email asking if the order had been dispatched. No reply. After another two days I sent a follow up email asking if they wouldn't mind responding. To my surprise I got an immediate reply from someone called Fraser apologising for the delay and stating that the order had been shipped the previous day.
Five days later nothing had turned up so I emailed again to advise them of this fact, that PayPal would be debiting my account (on delayed payment) the following day and that I would open a dispute if the goods hadn't arrived by this time. No reply.
I duly opened the dispute on the stated day, leaving a message via PayPal relating the history and that I basically didn't trust the retailer (I'd read the Trustpilot reviews by this time), and I would like a refund. To their credit the refund was made two days later, but without any further communication from Shiny Bikes.
Can't believe anyone can think this a fit way to run a business. Avoid.

As mentioned in other posts it is best to completely ignore any positive reviews of this website/business - they are clearly fake. Everything negative written about them is true - don't be tempted by the prices you will only be disappointed.
They will happily take your money and after that you can only hope and pray you actually get what you ordered. My experience has been paying for the part, receiving an automated response...and that's it. No amount of e-mailing or phoning has worked - it has just been ignored and if you are in the UK your bank won't do anything about retrieving your money until 15 days has passed without receipt of the goods.
How this organisation are still in business is anyone's guess! It is truly frustrating, dishonest and frankly verging on the criminal. Please, please, please don't make the same mistake I made. For a few extra quid use someone reliable like: Wiggle, CRC, Tredz, etc.
If you choose to ignore all the negative reviews (I didn't come across them until after I had order from them), then good luck!
UPDATE: Wow! If only you responded to customers' e-mails and phone calls as quickly as you do bad reviews on here. I am a genuine customer and my order number is 233959. I look forward to a speedy response with an amazing reason why I have heard nothing about my order since placing it. Thanks.

I cannot believe I purchased an item from this company before googling them in the first place! How naive was I!!! Competitive price is where they got me - and this is why I cheated on wiggle.co.uk and made my purchase of Zipp 900 Disc Wheel for my partner's very special birthday with shiny bikes.com...
It was a REALLY BIG DEAL for me so I ordered the item nearly 5 weeks before his birthday (that is now exactly a month ago). Needless to say, I am now left with tears down my cheeks having to say to my partner I have been scammed and I won't be able to give him his birthday present on Thursday- I can't exactly afford another £1000 wheel out of the blue!
Long story short, I purchased Zipp 900 from ShinyBikes.Com on September 5th (2015). Received the confirmation of my order but that was IT - no confirmation of the shipping. The order has CLEARLY not been dispatched as instructed in the email within 48h... Subsequently to it not being delivered within the expected timeline, I emailed them, have not heard back, so I phoned them to find out the order has indeed not been sent out.
At that point the addressee to whom this item is being delivered was going to be away so I requested for the delivery to be arranged for the 21st of September. After that date I phoned again just to find out once more that the item has not been dispatched. I was promised it was going to be dispatched on Sept 25th (Friday). That has not happened either, because the item is not with me despite of their delivery times promising to take max 5 days to UK Mainland (They are based in Ireland). Since then, they have not replied to ANY of my many emails. They are not picking up their phones (I've been calling them 10 times a day for a week) and now also their website is down - I haven't even got a SINGLE REASON to believe anything else but the fact that I have been a victim of a big fat fraud.
My case is now being investigated as I have raised a dispute over this payment with my bank. From previous comments posted here in the recent days I believe some of you had to do the same - through pay pal or banking. Regardless of whatever is going on here, this company MUST NOT BE TRUSTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES and every bone in me hopes they will get prosecuted for what they've done to me and very obviously other people too. How can one run a business in such an absolutely and utterly appalling and disgusting way? Shiny Bikes, if you ever read this, I want you to know not only that I feel you stole my money from me, but also broke my heart by ruining my perfect birthday plans for my beloved partner. And I really truly care about these things and don't take them lightly (although now I know I kind of did take it "lightly" by not looking up these reviews before trusting shinybikes.com!).

I ordered a pair of cycling shorts from Shinybikes.com and they never arrived. After repeated attempts contacting them they never replied. I had to file a complaint though paypal to get my money back.

Ordered one product. Sent incorrect item. Eventually got through to get a return authorisation. Told me to send by normal post - No chance. Sent signed for. Heard nothing. Checked delivery & PO didn't get signature. Claimed that the place refused to accept return.
Raised dispute via credit card company. A quick search f the web shows that this is no unusual behaviour by the company. AVOID.

Ordered 2 parts from Shiny Bikes for next day delivery after repeated lies about a lost delivery i eventually recieved 1 part and have been lied to on the phone now 3 times while chasing my other part. Never returns calls that he promises to. Terrible terrible service will never ever use this unreliable company again..

I have ordered various times from Shiny Bikes and every time my order has arrived complete and relatively quickly.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and in my last order I specifically asked for the 2015 Campagnolo Hyperon (with new quick releases and Certilogo label), which were ordered in and delivered quickly (A+ for customer service).
Cannot be beaten for price on Campagnolo. Small company, small running costs I guess...
I was going to buy a Record groupset but ended up going for Super Record due to the excellent prices.
I have had to wait 10 days for a previous order, but was told this before the sale as the part had to be ordered in specially for me.
Overall, highly recommended. 4 stars instead of 5 as the orders take a few days longer to arrive than the bigger companies, but I prefer to pay less wait a bit longer.

Initial delivery a bit slow but did recieve all items which was well packaged. I encountered a fault with chainset which i was asked to return and supplied a no quibble replacement. Very helpful would recommend and definitely use again for future spares and accessories .👍👍

Seems like my experience is similar to other recent posts - ordered a disc wheel with Powertap hub in July - money debited immediately from credit card but still no wheel. I've had several conversations with various stories explaining delays and even got to promising next day despatch in late September. No response to any emails - for last 2 weeks not contactable by phone and website down for maintenance. I've now referred this to my CC provider for action. I fear that this business has run into classic cash flow issues and accepting orders and taking money in a last ditch effort to continue.

Bought Enigma Etape bike from Shiny Bikes. Great advice over the phone and the price on my bike build was the cheapest I could find for the Groupset and wheels and total package.
The build quality is excellent and I received the bike packaged well and the whole order arrived within a week from when I ordered it.
I generally can't fault Shiny Bikes and I would recommend to the other riders in my club. I will most certainly use them again!!

I contacted Shinybikes by email to find out whether they had a Zipp disc wheel (Shimano freehub) in stock and how quick they could deliver it to me - because mine recently broke.
Not only were they swift to reply to my first and subsequent emails, but the price was the lowest I could find anywhere. They event sorted out an issue with my paypal payment (which I think was my fault) and sent the wheel out yesterday at 4pm. It was on my desk waiting for me when I got to work today!
Absolutely first rate service. I will definitely look to buy other things from you in the future.

Tried calling their phone number in the UK during office hours - no one picks up. Have sent several emails, no replies. My order number was 234302 since it looks like one of the scammers behind that site is responding, at least, to complaints here. It would be awesome if they would RESPOND TO CUSTOMER EMAILS. Opened a PayPal dispute for the charge and will shop elsewhere IF I DONT HEAR BACK WITH AN ETA on when the frameset ( Cinelli Gazzetta ) will arrive, or if it has shipped, or what. Terrible business, avoid them - they're a waste of time. Hopefully PayPal will deal with them accordingly and shut them down.

Just took delivery of Zipp Super 9 Disc wheel. Nowhere had them in stock when I called, thought I'd give these guys a go and they were most helpful on the phone and confirmed they had in stock. Their price was also the cheapest. Ordered Wednesday and took delivery Friday afternoon! Will use them again and recommend to all my club members!

Now 10 days since I ordered my item, no one has told me when my item will be delivered. I think I have written 6 emails to them and not one reply, phoned today message said their on holiday for 4 days and I bet they didn't get my item sent before that.
Avoid this company like the plague, I'm surprised they are still in business.
Can you give no stars. Will try because that's what they deserve.

Just collected my Enigma Etape Disc from the Shiny Bikes new store and the bike is fantastic! I wasn't sure of my size as I had been previously been bike fitted by another company and was uncomfortable on my old bike with lower back pain and neck ache.
Shiny Bikes took the time to advise me on my current position and measured me up for my new bike. Have to say it is so comfortable to ride.
Shiny Bikes advised me every step of the way with my build and advised me on crank length, gear ratios and bar sizes. The bike has been carefully assembled and it looks stunning.
I also had read some of the reviews on here, but was reassured by the positive reviews I had seen and also by their quick response to emails when I made my initial enquiry and also the fact that unlike a lot of other online companies I could pick up the phone or drop into the shop to speak to them.
I will definitely be using them again for my next purchase and I have recommended them to all my club mates.

I've ordered from these people before and their service is always lousy, but their prices are hard to ignore and some of the items they stock are really hard to find elsewhere.
Nonetheless, I wish I'd erred on the side of caution this time. I've been mailing them and calling them since I ordered a month ago and have had no response and have never got through on the phone. The answerphone claimed that there'd been a sudden loss in the family, but I note that the Facebook page has now gone down and the site is locked. I reported them to the Association of Cycle Traders but ACT can do little to intervene. I suspect they've gone out of business and I plan to call my payment card provider tomorrow. Fingers crossed I'll get some money back.

I ordered a through the Shiny Bikes website and have never received such poor service. It has now been over 3 months of chasing and I still do not have a complete product from them. My phone calls have been ignored (they must have caller id) and when I have managed to get through, I have been lied to. They are completely incompetent.
It is a miracle that they are still in business. DO NOT USE THEM

100% honest experience. 7 weeks and counting.
Saw the item I wanted. Great price. In Stock according to the website.
Rang: told it was definitely in stock.
Rang next day: again, definitely in stock, ready to dispatch.
So I committed to my transaction. Over £1,000
I would estimate that after 20 phone calls, mostly answered to be fair, I still haven't had either the product or my money back. And the product has always been "In Stock" according to their website throughout this fiasco.
I've had lies, excuses, "mistakes".
I've had emails from the Courier saying the item is "ready for dispatch" which is just a ploy to shut you up for a few days.
I've listened while the guy on the other end of the phone "processed" my refund: (clatter on the keyboard) "there, done". Only to ring back a week later to be told "oh, we seem to have missed that refund".
So, were you just lying? Just hitting the keyboard?
I've raised a dispute now which should be straight forward as I've obviously never received anything.
Stick to Planetx/Chainreaction/Wiggle/Probikekit/Ribble/etc/etc/etc. too many to name.
We all look at the prices, we all know they're a little too good to be true but think it's worth the risk. Well, if you can afford to be without your money (£10s, £100s, £1000s?) for weeks or months, then it's worth a go. You never know, you might get lucky.
(Ever thought the positive reviews sound a bit too much like advertisements?)
