Sadly, I made the mistake of ignoring the reviews on Tripadvisor. The webpage looks very professional, and initially, we received very prompt replies to our questions and requests. However, overall I cannot recommend this company.
From the start, all was well. Fast replies. But once you have paid, communication kind of goes down the toilet I’m afraid.
First off, we were asked to pay in cash. That made me slightly concerned, but we were a last minute booking, so we were happy to go along. We were met two days before our wedding by the owner who was pleasant and chatty, and we paid, in cash — after that, getting replies got worse. On the wedding day itself, a taxi arrived, on time, and took us to a small beach. We had ordered a palm arch; but we got a gazebo thing. Still pretty, but not what we asked for, or paid for. The cake was melting. Yes, it’s the Seychelles, but get a different type of cake. It’s no surprise it’s going to be a hot day is it? The flowers for my wife were head down in a bucket. They looked like something from a garage — and no buttonhole for me. The photographer was asking me what photos we wanted, and we felt rushed and more of an inconvenience than a client. In the event, the images were actually pretty good and we are pleased with them, but we didn't get them until over five weeks after our wedding.
The biggest problem is the lack of communication. Despite many many phone calls and Whatsapp messages. We had handed over our birth certificates etc. at the start, and despite being told on three different occasions that we would get them back, it took many angry texts, calls, and emails, to eventually get them returned, the night before we left. We ordered three apostle-certified copies of the wedding paperwork. 2 with the UAE embassy stamp. We got one copy the night before we went. Then a string of contradicting text messages as to why we didn't receive the other two. Nor did we get our photos on flash drive before we left.
After getting no answers after almost a month, in the end, I threatened to report them for theft to the Seychelles police as they had taken my money but not delivered the goods. I received a slightly rude email trying to blame the registry office etc. and telling me that as they had offered to waive the fee for the additional certificates, I should be happy that I would receive them. I didn’t ask for complimentary copies, I had offered to pay for them. After more angry emails, I eventually received the photos and two more certificates, but not stamped by the UAE embassy. So all the extra delay was for nothing. We have now received the UAE stamped certificate, but again, only after complaining, and even then, it was not sent when we were told it was available. Why not be straight with people? Making stuff up just makes people upset and even less trusting. Better to be honest and give straight information than make false claims.
They did get us married, but that's all. Everything else was through angry text messages and phone calls. For us it did what we wanted, eventually, but only after much upset. We have now eventually received everything we needed. The Seychelles are amazing and as a place to be married, even these guys couldn’t spoil that. Despite eventually getting all the paperwork; the lack of communication, and the saying things were done when they obviously were not, I can’t recommend them. I would suggest looking elsewhere.
