Always amazing customer service and they give samples to test out products like foundation and primer and perfume so you can try before you buy. I always end up with more than I meant to buy!

3 weeks ago I was in sephora located on 5 th avenue in NYC where I had the worst experience and received the worst service in a long time! I had an expectation of coming
into their store, receive a great service and maybe end up with the desired product I now needed! However, this was definitely not what I received! Instead, I end up ruining my designer shoes to the value of 500 euros by an employee who drops a foundation on the floor which then sprays all over me and my shoes. The foundation can by no means get off as it has settled into the sewing of the shoes. The whole grievance process as well as the help from the stores employees has been one of the most horrible I have ever had. The store and its employees have not been helpful and every time you have written to them via mail or their complaints service you do not receive the help you need. In addition, they claim that they will send the entire case to their insurance company and then end their email with that you can now no longer contact them. It has now been over 25 days since I received the last mail and ever since then I have heard nothing! Both the outcome of the missing / expected replacement and inadequate service has definitely deterred me as a customer and I will warn everyone to take care of their things when they enter the store because they will definitely not replace your things if one of the employees accidentally arrives to destroy them

I went to Sephora on Memorial Mall sometime this past weekend, I usually avoid going to Sephora due to the poor customer service the employees provide. Well anyway, that day this girl Sammie was such a great help! Sephora needs more employees like her! I was in search or a concealer and she helped me pick out the best option since I do have oily skin, and let me tell y’all NARS is the way to go! it’s kind of over priced for the amount the concealer has but believe me it’s worth it, I’m so thankful for her help, I always get the wrong concealer for my skin but this concealer looks AMAZIN! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I am just sensitive for sunscreen. Their top sunscreen is expensive, but great.
Try some samples, they work well. It has ultra high SPF, and does not feel like you are wearing sunscreen at all.

Sephora has no understanding of customer service. Canceled an order I did not cancel. Charged my card and did not send order. No email was sent after canceling order. I waited 2 weeks with no response. Once I did call they said they couldn’t honor the deals I originally purchased. No compensation was offered what so ever. Sephora is a joke. I’d go anywhere else.

Once I learn how to make up, this is been one of the places I visit often.
My favorite make up line is Kat Von D's since doesn't support animal cruelty and it's a good quality product. The staff helped me find eveything I needed because I also bought make up for my mom.

This is the WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced. This is the first time I’ve written a review for customer service. I’ve been lied to by multiple customer service reps and been ignored when I submit literal receipts of my purchases. Sephora could care less about their customers.I can’t wait for the day until a competitor takes all their customers and they go out of business. Wish I could give a middle finger instead of one star.

Spent 111$ at Sephora. Woke up to an extra charge for 96$. Called Sephora customer service was told to call my credit card company and have my card replaced. AT FIRST. I asked to speak to a supervisor and finally was told that the charge was part of my first charge for 111$ and would drop off in a couple days. ALWAYS ASK TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR

Oh Sephora. How extravagantly expensive you are.
If you're willing to drop around ... hmm, let's see, $200-$300 here, by all means, shop away! But for those of us who just want one thing that isn't over $30, this isn't the place. As a Canadian I find it appalling just how expensive it is to shop here. Americans have it good man, prices are WAY different at Sephora in America than they are here in Canada.
To be fair it's because we have a ridiculous amount of taxes, so that definitely plays a part but man, a girl just wants some primer and toner for under $60 bucks!
I'd like to share an experience I had with Sephora where I found 'glass' in the ingredients list of a eyeshadow thingy I bought last year and just how bad their customer service was in response to my concern.
I reached out to Sephora's customer service only to have a horribly written, nonsensical response back. I understand English isn't everyone's first language but if you're responding to emails you'd think maybe Sephora would ensure the person's first language is English?? I don't know man, it was sketchy. Anyways, the email basically glossed over the fact that there's glass in the product and with horrible grammar told me that it's 'probably something else'.
I went to the store to return it because you must be nuts if I'm putting glass near my eyes only to be told that again, it's 'probably something else'.
Lol. Cool. I just took my refund and dipped.
I will say for people who wear a $#*! ton of makeup you'd think they'd know a thing or two about wtf glass is in a product, but instead made it seam like I'm the crazy one. I was calm and cool as a cucumber, just casually wanted to know if the ladies had any idea of what this supposed glass ingredient could be and no-one could give me a straight answer.
Good luck trying to reach them online too! I sent @'s, Tweets, you name it and they never responded. Shocker lol. Most companies are like this, they don't truly care about YOU, they only value the money in your wallet.
I also feel super comfortable shopping at their stores, all the employees eye me suspiciously or completely ignore my presence because they don't want to help me lol it's embarrassing.
I won't be spending my money here anymore, I refuse to spend excessive amounts of money on crap I can find at the drugstore that works the same.

I bought some makeup from Sephora, it never arrived. My partner was home at the time when Sephora claimed the package was delivered. Sephora claimed this is not the liability. So now I am $55.00 out of pocket. It is safe to say I will not purchase from Sephora again.

Their online delivery and order service is the most awful that I have ever seen.
I ordered a shiseido ibuki cream and after 3 days waiting I realized that my package has been returned because of incorrect info.
When I asked them to resend me the package with correct adress thay told me that my order is out of stock and they have to refund.
After 3 days!!!!!!
I will never order online from sephora and i will try to buy directly from Shiseido.

I asked one sales person to help me find a lipstick that I had previously purchased from Sephora. She was going to check in the back to see if it was it in stock. She never returned. So I asked another. She never returned, either. Meanwhile, several people kept asking me if I was being helped. Before leaving the store without the lipstick, I told one of the sales people about my experience, Her response? She said thank you, not, "Oh we're sorry, let me get someone else to help you."
Instead of repeatedly asking customers if they need help, try actually helping them. If you want to boost sales and increase customer satisfaction, train your sales people. They flunk!

I went on Sephora.com to get my OUIA wave spray, which is AMAZING. Went ahead and purchased the Play box. I knew these would be samples and I knew it going into it. The problem that I have is when I received my box and opened it, the samples were not even half full. I understand a sample is a sample but for fox sake come on at least fill the samples. Will be buying my OUAI from there website now instead of going through Sephora. Do not recommend the play box at all. Total rip off. Wish I could share my pictures on here. I did on Sephora.com but we will see if they get posted?

Went to Sephora at Chermside today, the woman at the check out provided very pleasant service, however I checked the price before I left the store as it didn’t match my estimate. The price of the nail files were $7 not $10 as I was charged, no big deal. Still incorrect so I advised one of the floor staff, as anyone would , who referred me to the “manager” Kelli. No eye contact , but most of all no apology. I was treated like this was an invalid unnecessary complaint. One which I had made with courtesy and respect. A simple , so sorry that happened- not too hard. Clearly too hard for Kelli to acknowledge an error, management skills 101 accept accountability, a form of respect to the population who ensure you receive your income by return custom.
