Useless company. Been told 5 days in a row that my business validation is complete and my SSL will be issued soon. Nope, never gets issued. and when i chat to the team, they say they same thing every time. Don't waste your time with them.
I ordered from geotrust and the validation was completed in 1 day with the SSL issued.

If you love to hear fables, just reach out to their support.
I have been told "will be issued today" for 3 days.
We passed validation and were in 'second review' on Tuesday. Since Wednesday, I've been told 'will be issued today'. It is now Friday evening and I am still getting the same response, 'shortly'.
Crooks have idols and those idols are employed by Sectigo.

Sectigo support is abysmal. They honestly have the worst customer support I have ever come across. If you open a ticket, they will never contact you. You have to chase constantly to get anything done by them or get an update.
The SSL validation process is shockingly bad. It took us a month to get the validation process completed. They never call when they say they will. You have to continually chase and push for things to get done.
It is unbelievable that they are the world's largest certificate authority when they are not even competent at doing validation checks. When the SSL certificates at the company I work for come near to expiry, I am definitely moving to a different CA!

- Bad user experience throughout the site journey
- Conflicting and misleading information on website and provided by staff over live chat
- Not knowledgable staff over live chat. they just copy past over and over the same piece of text which takes the conversation nowhere and do not help solving the problem at all.
- Ridiculously time consuming process for a very simple task of acquiring a single website security certificate
- No internal history or communication thread based on orders numbers so every time you talk to someone from SECTIGO you have to explain the case over and over and over. Again, time consuming...

Comodo/Sectigo uses one source for business verification, D&B. If anything is inaccurate in D&B they will refuse to issue the certificate. They accept NO other verifications. They provide a list of services they accept but each one pulls its info from D&B so again if D&B is incorrect you are SOL. Good luck with getting D&B to update your info. Its a paid service and unpaid requests take months to update if they ever even do it. Its been 2 weeks arguing with them and they refuse to issue my certificates because the phone number on D&B is wrong. They wont take any other directory listing or even the phone bill to verify it. Worst company i have ever dealt with. They could not care less. - And Trust pilot is deleting reviews. This review was deleted. I am respoting as it is 100% legit.

Nightmare validation process. We had a Comodo multi-domain certificate which renewed through our hosting provider at the start of the second year and we assumed it was a simple continuation process. No, no, no....
There was no contact from Comodo telling us they had been acquired by Sectigo.
There was no contact from Sectigo to tell us we had to re-validate with them to invoke our renewed certificate.
Our certificate was revoked silently, and we had to quickly switch to Let's Encrypt to keep our sites safe for browser validation!
I had to go through the convoluted process of re-validating and it's been dead time I can do without spending on something which should be very simple. We may just switch to Cloudflare's $20 p/m product next year, the Sectigo renewal experience is an unnecessary pain.

We have used Comodo for some 20 years. Since their rebrand to Sectigo, their validation and support has hit rock bottom and started to dig. We are in the process of moving all the certs we manage to other CAs.
I appreciate the need for security with these things and I appreciate there will be technical issues but how they are dealing with issues is beyond unusable.
The login pages on their website take you to a different system where your username and password won't work. The support department give you a special URL to use.
You can no longer phone them up. You instead have to use web chat. The response from their operatives for each message is often 5 minutes going up to 15 at times. After being passed around different people for 45 minutes the operative asked me to explain the situation again even though the chat transcript and initial 'message' had everything they needed. When I hadn't replied within 20 seconds they cut me off saying I was idle and ended the chat! I am currently in a chat trying to get an invoice for a cert (see next point). I wasted 2 hours the other day and got nowhere. It has now been coming up to 4 hours today since I first started and we are no closer. REALLY?!! This should have taken 2 minutes on the phone. I would love to show you the transcripts. It is one of those things that you would not believe unless you saw it.
They reverted an account to an old email address used when the cert was first requested some 20 years ago. All invoices / reminders etc. started being sent there. Trying to get it changed back is unbelievable with them insisting the original person, who doesn't work for us anymore, has to reply using the original email address which doesn't exist. They have now accepted they will take instruction from the [email protected] email address but it is still not happening with them not receiving our replies. We have tested our mail servers and spam scores and it all looks fine our end.
We bought a certificate but the validation process failed with them claiming they couldn't find the company on any public directories. We received a canned response asking to set up a DUNS number etc. A very simple search shows that the company is listed on every directory you can think of including Dun and Bradstreet. It has now been 5 months since paying. They have our money but we are no closer to having the cert.
In the web chat every time the operative didn’t quite understand what was happening, we were told to submit another support ticket which we did but their system merged them as comments on an existing ticket which confused them and made it impossible to solve the issues!
On the plus side, the certificates work.
Also, we didn't have to re-issue like we had to recently with other CAs.
Oh, and they are sometimes cheap.
UPDATE: The operative then just ended the webchat. Neither issue resolved. 4 hours of my life wasted that I will not get back. Thanks.
UPDATE 2: The plot thickens. I received an email in response to one of the many support tickets I raised on the instruction of the web chat operative. I thought we were getting somewhere so I replied. They have now emailed me back telling me to use the web chat. You couldn't make this stuff up.

Unbelievably difficult to use. Still unable to get through simple validation process. Chat window cannot be used OR closed and hides part of screen. Web interface is inferior to COMODOs with GAPING logic holes wrt owner of SSL site as opposed to credit card owner/address. Phone support is polite, but has no ability to resolver anything. Strong accent, so somewhat difficult to understand.
They have RUINED COMODO.
AVOID this provider if at all possible.

Avoid if possible. We agree with previous reviewers: the validation process support for their SSL certificate is appalling.
With critical webpages unreachable now the certificate renewal process has taken 3 weeks (and is still continuing), we can only say that their process is incoherent and their support team wilfully uncommunicative.
Our situation could have been speeded 2 weeks ago with a single sentence in any one of their templated emails: 'non-limited partnerships are treated as individuals, not businesses'.
Instead it has taken days between replies, some of which ignore previous exchanges, and they will not reply to pleas for speed or response. They now have all the information they've requested. We await their response. Again.

I strongly advise you not to order code signature at this company. They have never ending due diligence.
You better sell your application through the Microsoft store only and buy your developer signature from Apple if it is for MacOS. The Microsoft store procedure is very light. You can submit an application to Microsoft store without signing and Microsoft signs the application on your behalf. The membership is very cheap in both cases (apple and microsoft) : almost $100 each for a company. Don't focus on "standalone" distribution. We wasted 1 month for code sign. and this could have been used for marketing.
