My son purchased a item on next day delivery but it arrived 2 days later! Then he returned it and asked for the next day delivery charge to be refunded which he never got, also the item retuned was £100 it’s a month on now and he has got neither refunded, he even had a confirmation email saying they had now received the goods back allow 7/10/days for a refund, it’s now over 30 days and ignoring all emails !!!

I bought a Scott Sportster 30 in 2013 and although I was a little disappointed with its geometry overall I was very happy with it. Each year I go on a week's cycling holiday on the Continent and ten days before this year's trip, whilst cleaning and checking it, disaster struck. I noticed a slight movement in the saddle when lifting it and at first I thought that it simply needed tightening but on closer inspection I found that the seat tube had broken immediately above the welding where it met the seat stays and cross bar. The frame was deemed a write off by several cycle shops and it was suggested that I contacted Scott to see what they would say. To my amazement they simply didn't want to know, saying that it had gone past the five year warranty and if it had been within it I would have had to prove that it had been regularly maintained by a qualified technician As a professional engineer and a keen cyclist for over 60 years I have done most of my own maintenance, only taking it to a bike shop for them to deal with the latest designs in cycle parts it had for which I couldn't deal with. That said in my opinion no amount of training could envisage or anticipate such a failure. I have two other bikes, one 57 years old and the other 20 years and neither have any signs of frame failure. The five bike shops I went to in the hope they could fix my bike all said that they had never seen such a fault before although subsequently one of my cycling friends says he knows people that have. The bottom line is in my opinion it shouldn't happen and Scott took no interest in investigating what could have led to serious injury. As a result of my experience I have replaced the bike AND its not with a Scott!

I bought 2 pairs of Spur glasses in November - the delivery/packaging of these was meticulous and the glasses were great. Unfortunately I had to return one pair because the spare lens would not fit in the frame - the product was faulty. Customer service was very slow at replying when I contacted them. There was no offer to replace the faulty glasses or lens (all I needed was the spare lens). If I ordered by the same process again I would have to pay for shipping (my original order qualified for free shipping) and it's not worth it for me should the next pair have the same problem. Very disappointed with the customer service.

If someone’s paying you or helping you out, you have to be careful not to make them angry or say bad things about them.
