We had a package at around £500 a year. We asked about monthly payments and were told it would be £1000 + VAT per MONTH!
The dashboard has no analytics, so no way of really seeing easily how much traffic Scoot actually generates for your website.
Looked into it in more detail. and discovered that the SEO and metatagging they do is very simple and already provided to us by our web host. Similarly, they duplicate information.
All in all, not recommended

Scoot have published my personal phone number, also my home address and are saying that these are the contact methods in which clients can contact me by.
They also have another website called The Sun which has my personal details on there.
How the hell did they get my personal details, what gives them the right to publish my details without my consent.
I have changed my number a number of times already and now i am going to have people phoning my private number.
How dare you scoot, how dare you!

Signed up for listings management last week as they claimed they'd get me 100's of backlinks.
I know a ton about SEO & already had well optimised pages on all of the big directories but was interested to see what they could do.
What you get in reality is about 10 optimised directory pages (the news websites are syndicted to many other news websites but you only set it up using 1 link so i'm not counting that as hundreds of links like they do)
I already had all of these directory listings with unique original content on each one. These guys just copied the text from my homepage & used that which risks you getting a duplicate content penalty & went ahead despite me asking what the logic was behind it.
I want the changes they've made totally undoing & I've no idea why anyone would pay £25 a month for what is in reality about 10 backlinks which you could create in about an hour without paying anything.

Was with Scot/Web.com for years and years, they created links to the website though directories which was useful at the time, though an outdated method now. However the work they did after looking into it was way below standard, the information they had was outdated, numerous errors in spelling, the pictures they put were outdated and they generally did't put any effort in, did't update any information we sent to them over the years and have no customer service skills whatsoever.
After saying i felt like i was wasting my money with them and wanted to cease business they then said that they would take down all the information/link/listings which they had set up over the years. Which is just petty to be honest. They then months later called and called trying to get us back on board and the price got lower and lower. I still said no as them pressuring me and being rude about it did't make me want to sign up again at all. DONT USE! They just take your money and do the bare minimum at best.

Just cancelled with these guys although the expense is not much, what you get back for this is not much at all you'd be better off investing in pretty much anything else and get more return. I've also discovered people are paying less and more than what I was paying which was £99 + VAT - clearly the pricing strategy is whatever the sales guy can getaway with. If you're considerring this simply ask yourself when was the last time you visited any of these directories to find something?
What prompted me to write this review though was the text I received once I cancelled (I was hoping to upload a screenshot) saying that my business had been "deleted in google" which is a lie and in my view scare tactics.
Scoot do not have the ability to delete my google listing as I am the owner of it (they would need to hack my google account to delete it) - I will be reporting this to Google, as well as my Google Adwords Account manager. Not a nice company to deal with and thrilled to have cut the chord

Would never use this company again, pushy, misled and so so much bad publicity leads you to believe it all must be based on truth. I renewed, then cancelled within 24hrs and asked for a full refund, only to be told what I had renewed was not what was discussed so basically get stuffed. I asked for a copy of the recording, they said not all calls are recorded. I have staff who heard the conversation, so I'd add liars to the list of their faults, totally unprofessional!

I have had a very poor experience with Scoot AKA web.com. They removed a local business listing of mine twice. I had spent a good deal of time setting up one of our business profiles. They even change your listing without your permission. They have a pushy sales team with an attitude. One person I spoke with was rude and continued to talk over me. I will be in contact with the other directories that they represent and get to the bottom of this unholy mess!! Avoid Avoid Avoid!!! Check Out their reviews all over the web, they all say the same thing. When scoot responds to their feedback they always apologise but I'm fairly confident that it would be a different story if you were on the other end of the phone to them.

Won't take no for an answer. I have explained to them that we are happy with our current online performance but still they call. Amazingly, every time they call, they have an exclusive deal on just that week to get us to sign up. Just go away.

YORKSHIRE CAR SALES
I bought a DS3 for my daughter, from an independent dealer - Yorkshire car sales in Dewsbury.
I must say fantastic customer service, really good better than dealerships- great hospitality
And best part of it car was best & cheapest in town - got it at a fraction of price - compared to other dealers - we have had the car 6 months now - still as good as new
Would strongly recommend

Pushy sales tactics
Our IT team looked into what they do for us for the money and appeared to be very little! They rang continuously for weeks still trying to persuade us to renew despite us trying to cancel. They tried to use scare tactics and told us that our website had now gone from the top on google to 9th place since cancelling however when we cleared the cashe on our internet and searched under several different search titles our website still appeared on the top.

Paid for a full website once they get your money they are not interested till the year after will not renew as I did not get one phone call and I only found my website if I typed my name into the search bar beware keep away I took submit tracks out they did not even touch nothing all the adverts are still wrong I did listing on the directory even though I'm at the top not one phone call from it and the website they built look nice but no one could find it so what's the point and now they want me to pay £399 for the directories again they've offered to knock it to 299 for the inconvenience what's the point when I don't get no calls from the adverts

Signed up 12 months ago for £70 one off fee and £20 a month. No identifiable business from it, so I decided to cancel.
Emailed them to cancel and received an immediate reply, saying I had to CALL THEM to cancel. Phone numbers on the link they provided were both USA numbers.
Searching through here, I found a reply from Web.com, quoting an 0800 number! That's more like it! Wonder why that number isn't mentioned anywhere on their site?
Got through and after trying to persuade me that my Google Maps listing place was down to them I finally got them to accept that I wanted to cancel. I was already on page 1 on the Google maps for years before I signed up with them.
Fingers crossed, that's the end of it.

I signed up to a website directory to list my website services via a local newspaper website. After this point a company named Scoot (never heard of them) contacted me numerous times out of nowhere under the guise that they wanted to help me ensure my website was listed properly on this directory. Yeah right!
It later transpired that they were trying to do a cold-call sale to provide services that I didn't need or require for an expensive monthly fee, including submission of my website to a bunch of places nobody has heard of.
One caller named Emma tried pressurising me into completing the sale even though I had politely declined several times. She ended the call with a raised voice (practically shouting down my ear) stating "Nobody can contact you because you only use our free service!" and hung up before I could reply.
Now I'm probably not the most experienced customer services representative for my own company but I would certainly never shout at my potential customers for not using my service, particularly IF what I was offering was inappropriate and mediocre for them.

Made a terrible mess of the SEO work they said they would do.
I would advise to stay well clear.
Update: I've noticed that Scoot have been replying to the comments here...
I bought a listings management service from Scoot to build citations for my website. They then made citations which had the wrong name and address of my business.
In addition, they say they give you 500 citational listings, but you actually just get 9.
My Reply to your response:
Actually doing SEO doesn't take a long time. I paid you to make sure that the Name, Address and Phone Numbers were all matching on my directories - a very simple task and you got that completely wrong which resulted in confusion for my customers and Google's algorithms.
I have already cancelled and got my refund.
Again, I would advise anyone considering doing any kind of SEO on their website to avoid Scoot and consult a local SEO company.

Bullies, I stupidly after a number of harassing calls from Scoot.com signed up to their advertising on all their directories, The Sun, The Times etc as I thought it would help improve my business. Well was I wrong my website tracking showed me that all my sales from site had been refereed from my Facebook & Twitter and not a single sale or referral to my site had come from Scoot.com. I personally have spent over £500 on their advertising and feel that it was a huge scam as no way of finding any Stats that they refereed people to my sites... SCAM and CON.
I was called two weeks ago and about renewing and after a half hour listening to how its going to damage my site blah blah that I dont renewal I still cancelled. Today 24/7/2017 -
I was called by a Emma from Web.com asking why I had cancelled and that they had taken over Scoot and was finding out why I cancelled. She seemed apologetic and listened to why I cancelled and I thought she was just getting information so she could investigate further. Nope as BAM I can help you still and do it at the same cost as last year £150 + Vat so all of a sudden a nice listening chat became a sales call again. I am dissapointed that their are still companies like this out there and get away scamming innocent Hard workers trying to grow their businesses.
I advise Stay away from them !!

I received a phone call today after i requested one from Mondays call. Being honest i looked up the reviews before answering which put me on the back foot. Although not rude the employee was pretty abrupt with a few umms are arrsss while questioning me on more than 1 occasion.
It was obvious i wasnt interested but she persevered, fair enough. The she moved onto Google which i have been advertised on for a year now. I know all about SEO and meta tagging etc. I also know there is nothing the company can do for me that i cant do myself!
This is still a form of cold calling regardless. Asking me to check my details online as a means to sell something i am not interested in.
Im happy with the free listing so please note to no more sales contacts!

Got THE call to 'check' my listing, (we all know the free listing is just the 'in' for the callback to get you to 'upgrade' to the very expensive, mostly worthless paid version). The angle is a promise to get you listed on hundreds of business directories but this is far from good. BE WARNED, these are just some 500 cheap, low quality, tacky directories that will harm your SEO, so rather than be excited at the prospect of this wide coverage, be wary instead. Once I told him I knew how tacky and 'dangerous' these mass listings were, he ended the conversation, he obviously realised I was maybe more knowledgeable about this than some others might be. Literally anyone can start a directory for profit that's why there's so many around, most of course are totally useless but there are good more highly regarded ones but only a tiny handful in comparison, so do some basic research first.
Think of directories like this, if your own business was selling high-end supercars from a prestigious showroom in Park Lane, London, you wouldn't want to also be associated with Arthur Daly's tacky back street car lot would you as it would damage your reputation and standing.
Edited - Further to the reply from Emma at Scoot, she says "Our list includes very credible sites including Google, Bing, 192.com, Yelp, Foursquare, TomTom and The Independent Business Directory." Yes I will agree with her here, she has mentioned the very best ones and only the best ones, indeed you should be listed on them but these are probably the ONLY ones you need to list on. I find it rather telling that Emma mentions only the best directories, (do they know something most people don't then)? It's the other 400+ that can probably be ignored, certainly I will be ignoring them.

I've always liked this company. I've used their service which I have found useful. Scoot was actually the first company I applied for a job with when I turned 18 in 2000. I managed to do all the tests except the minimum word per minute. I was very upset not getting the job and my confidence level became non existent. If only I got the job... I wouldn't be where I am now which is nowhere and 17 years later.
Regrets. So many regrets.

DO NOT USE
Took out submit trackz and the moment my payment was made no a link to create an account and no password. Call back and excuse "Oh our system is down , I'll call you back with a password" Yep you guessed it no password.
Even tried to sell me more addons before my problems had been resolved. I have since studied who the post to and no suprise that the 500+ classifieds are ones you have never heard of and as for the ones you have well they don't post to those except their own!
Totally useless and bogus
This system will not help with ranking one jot.
I feel foolish about ever using them :-(

I stupidly signed up for a free business listing with Scoot.com! Following doing so I received a phone call that went on to last 20+ minutes that I was told was to 'ensure the details provided were correct.' The penny should have dropped when 'Lewis' was asking me if I minded signing up to various business directories. He was desperately trying to find an angle to sell me the services ukweb.com offer. Apparently for a one off payment of £80 and then £20 a month thereafter ukweb.com will register your business on 500+ directories with premium listings. I told him I'd call him back later with my answer. After a quick Google it soon became apparent this offer was a complete scam. Those who signed up to the service received no premium listings and noticed no increase in traffic or backlinks to their websites. After hearing back from 'Lewis,' I told him my company weren't interested in ukweb.com's service due to the negative feedback I'd read online about their services. They then proceeded to call me every day afterwards with the same sales pitch. I have now asked them to remove me from all of their free listings, which might I add; I haven't been able to find whilst searching Google for my company. Hopefully this will stop them hounding me with calls. AVOID AVOID AVOID!
