During a 3-month trip, I needed an emergency consultation. I called Falck Global Assistance alarm center MANY TIMES with NO success at all!! Then decided to write to claimsATsafeway.dk because it was really painful, but haven't got ANY reply SO FAR!! I've also asked my travel agent to contact them but even so, I haven't got ANY e-mail reply.
Never had such a TERRIBLE and DISAPPOINTING experience with a travel insurance company in my life!!
I will NEVER EVER recommend it to someone!!
07/dec/2018 SafeAway has just replied TODAY! As I cannot make any comment about their reply, and I want my review to be public, I´m writing it here:
First of all, I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY PHONE CALL, SMS, or EMAIL (or anything!!) from SafeAway when I needed them most!!! NOT EVEN informing that the coverage of the consultation was not possible!!!. Even my travel agent tried to get in touch with you!!!
AS SafeAway WROTE that you have tried to contact me by mail, sms or phone calls, PLEASE show them to me, with the correct dates!!!!
It´s "EASY" to say that you have "still" been trying to contact me.... my email and phone number are still the same, BUT I HAVE NOT GOTTEN any email or call from you. That´s a lie.
The only contact I´m having with you, is NOW that SafeAway reacted to my bad review on trustpilot!! It should be even worse than one star.

Wrote them an email two weeks ago asking for more information on how to file a claim and have not heard from them ever since. Pitty, I have used them a couple of times - it's easy to sign up and buy an insurance - but if you actually NEED their service they are not there..

It was all going so well until I tried to get compensation for extra expenses I had incurred due to my sickness. I had to stay 6 days extra in hospital during my trip to Africa and had multiple phone calls with SafeAway. I had been reassured countless times that my full phone bill would be covered and that I should not worry about contacting them as much as I needed... then when I sent them my 3000 kroner phone bill they said they would cover just over 200 kroner!! I gave them a full breakdown of all number I called and all calls I received but they refuse to pay. I felt so comfortable in their hands when I was on the phone and now I'm out of pocket 3000 kroner.

Everything works fine and fast. I wish the rules presented on the website would be more clear. The contact with the company is fast and clear, but I wish it was less formal and more supportive and friendly.

Easy to purchase, fine print docs were easily available. Didn't need to use the insurance on my travels.

Insurance is quite expensive for what you get. When I had the situation a few weeks ago that my luggage got lost (I took the plus option that includes baggage) after a recent flight I got no help. Reaching the support line was very difficult outside of 10am-3pm hours (and subcontracted to another company so they did not know contract specifics).

I hurt my back and could not catch my flight home from India and SafeAway were super helpful and bought my and my girlfriend new flights and paid for the bill at the doctor's office.
