Stressed throughout .. we just could not see or download our boarding passes up to a few hours before we had to travel 3 hours to the Airport, we HAD to buy seats and there they were .. the boarding passes...we had a bag that we have used for every trip for the last 3 years including Ryanair but this time just as we were handing our boarding passes to leave departure the young lady was in doubt as the bag had two tiny wheels on...but eventually let us go , we were then worried about our return flight with strike threat as well.. it did put the dampers on our holiday..We are not mean but hate being ripped off so we would rather pay more to a decent airline for peace of mind in future

Sick of Ryanair, there's always at least one problem when we fly with them, but this time it's gone too far. I refuse to pay for seat allocation, I don't care where I sit so long as we are together as a family, which is usually the case (as you'd expect when booking flight tickets with any airline). If they have seats together you'd get them together. Not this time though... Plenty of seats left on the plane, yet they scatter us with not a single seat next to each other.
Called customer services and asked them to move us together or at least 2 (out of 4) together as we are flying with a baby. They wouldn't budge.
* If you book train tickets as a family they don't stick you in different carriages or seats away from each other.
* No other airline does this, as far as I'm aware.
Why are they allowed to continue to do this? It's a joke. I 100% will not be using Ryanair in the future. I'd much rather pay a little bit extra to be treated better than a walking cash machine.

First time we've flown with Ryanair. Flight on time both ways. Early flight both times. Plane clean.
Didn't buy anything on-board.
I've given three stars due to the ridiculous cabin bag policy.
We had to buy a smaller bag, as one was bigger by 2cm. Then we learn we have to pay £48.00 for priority, which the majority of airlines include in the price. We could have taken a large hold suitcase for that. For this reason, we won't be booking with Ryanair again. It's a shame, as the flight itself was good. I read online that
Mr O'Learys profits have dropped.
Maybe he should up-date his business model. Times have changed. Why would anyone pay £50+ per suitcase, when you can take all you need in a carry-on?

We didn’t have confirmation until the day before that we were flying with the strike action. When we rang customer services the representative was unbelievably rude and couldn’t care less about the problems we were having. We were charged £80 for taking one bag in the hold which was not made clear when booking. It is a disgraceful company and service! We will not be flying with them again they don’t care as long as they have your money!

Delayed on the way out - 2 hours, delayed on the way back, 2 1/2 hours. If you enjoy hanging around airport departure lounges sat in uncomfortable chairs listening to frustrated and tired travellers then this is the airline for you. If you don’t then my advice would be to avoid.

If I could give this company no stars I would. Flights were changed from murcia to alicante due to floods. Apparently they sent me an email and sms which I didnt receive. I have had to rebook accommodation and now back at complex I have just received sms...sent at 11:25pm....flight was at 9:20pm. Avoid Ryan air at all costs. They have ruined my holiday.... have had to pay for car hire....additional accommodation and more expense due to their poor service and poor communication. Cant speak to a human to resolve issue so used live chat.....poor service no resolution and have now booked through jet2....I want to go home ryan air! You take customers money but you dont deliver on your services. Extremely bad service in all areas of business. MD needs to be very ashamed of himself.

NO charge for reserved seats...Yet somehow getting charged 1 Euro each! Search for a flight ooo £23 one way...Erm no add your seat and a bag wow £86.21 that's a whole nearly 4 more seats @ £23. On some flights your upgrade include any seat selection when you upgrade yet on others you do not get this option but are charged for the privilege to select a general seat. (The seats are all the same, absolute crap) How do you even come up with this? You just need to be clearer, I absolutely despise flying with Ryanair (had a couple of nightmare flights with them) nothing is ever clear, and lets face it there is absolutely no luxury flying with them. So I will only fly as a last resort; even if it costs me more, I'd rather pay a little bit more and be guaranteed a hassle free service. Ryanair need a complete overhaul.

Avoid, at all costs...
Despite paying for seats and having reserved the seats, they expect you to on-line check-in - And without your online account showing any options to do check-in.
My wife and I reached the check-in counter at the Rome Ciampino airport only to discover that we needed to pay 55 EUR per head to board the flight - Reason? We didn't do on-line check-in AS PER THEIR RECORDS and didn't have the boarding pass. On trying to show them what my on-line account allowed, the check-in staff kept on saying extremely rudely that you pay if you want to board the flight.
An extremely unprofessional behaviour by the girls at the airport counters as well as duty manager - They kept rotating their answers, would not share their names when we said we would like to lodge a complaint and rudely ask us to leave the counter. What is interesting is they say they do not belong to RyanAir - If I want to be heard, I first pay the hefty check-in fees and lodge a complaint through RyanAir customer service (if they have one...)
Utterly unprofessional, disgusting !!

Worst experience ever!
First of all, I booked car via Ryanair. The car Company, had received no money from Ryanair. So we paid for car again.
Second, at the airport in Pisa, we had problems with check in. We stod in Line for 1 hour with our 10 month old son. When we came to the desk and explained our problems with check in, we for the response: madame, it is not my problem. She wrote on a note and told us to pay 110 euro at another desk - and then get back in the Line again!
I will never use Ryanair again or recommend it. They make their money otherwise, robbing the customers. If i could, I would give zero Stars

To follow up on my last comment on Ryanair:
My partner, who is over seventy, was abandoned at Reus airport when her flight landed there instead of Castellón, and they seemed to find it very difficult to arrange any alternative transport to the original destination. Not only was she delayed for a total of about seven hours; it would have been much longer if I had not driven 168 km each way to collect her. No compensation for the delay and no reimbursement of the additional travel expenses involved. What a shower! Now I am fighting them over a luggage claim which they have most conveniently lost. Not only did they manage to destroy the luggage (which at least they managed not to lose!); they cannot arrange for a claim to be transferred from Spain to London. They have managed to get a virtual monopoly and their attitude to their customers is utterly disgraceful.

Avoid this terrible airline at all cost. They are cheap for a reason. I've booked the Tickets with my girlfriends. We checked-in 2 days before flight to secure the random allocation seat. Normally, with other low-cost airline, if you check-in together, you will bit together on board. However, with this terrible airline, they separate us to different seats, although the seat next to me, as well as the one next to my girlfriend, are free in order to make you pay to sit together. Avoid this horrible airline and go for another low-cost airline.

The disappointing truth about Ryanair is that once you booked with them and they have your money, they 'close the doors on you'..
No easy way to contact them, they close down all channels for you yo get through to them..
It gives you, the customer an uneasy feeling...

Booked a flight with Ryanair from Copenhagen to Southend and experienced the worst customer service to date.
Arrived at airport on time, went through immigration, got onto banana decorated plane, on schedule. Looking good.
It's a really hot and sunny day, and there is no airconditioning.
Waited to depart..
Eventually get the announcement, "all airports in the UK are closed due to thunder storms and we have been requested to wait here. There will be a slight delay. We appologize for that".
No water provded.. I know, its Ryanair duh
Waited.. nothing further.
Called someone who lives near the Southend airport, and they said, "Thunderstorms? What thunderstorms?".
No annoucement from the crew,
Spoke to crew. They seemed to have fewer details than I did.
Finally, an update. "Airports in London are still closed, so we think the best course of action is to offboard you and you can wait confortably in the terminal until we are ready to depart." - Please.. (a) Southend is not London, it's Essex! (b) Clearly another way for Ryanair to tell you they aren't going to provide any food or water after sitting on the tarmac for 2 hours.
We go back into the terminal. Sit down. Then are told we have to go and wait back through immigration. Hmm. This is looking suspect. Are we really going to leave tonight?
Off we go. No information and no way for them to keep us informed.
Another hour or two passes. No update. The gate information screen just says, "Ryanair F4 Closed". Closed? You mean, we should go home? Or..?
Finally, its the crew.. minus pilot (they didn't know where he was). People start crowding round them to find out what is happening. They say, "we have not idea". What?! How can you have no idea. Do you work for Ryanair, I wondered.
In the meantime, I can tell from the Southend airport website that planes are starting to land again. A good sign. Right? But no, it turns out the immigration officers had left for the night and wont reopen until 4am tomorrow, we are told by staff.
Ryanair staff have vanished again. The food counter is closed. There are small children and old folks. Seems we are all expected to lie down and sleep on the granite floor tonight.
Seriously, I was just astounded by the complete lack of control over the situation. Absolutely F- in the communications department. I wonder what if they even know how to use flight radios when communicating with air traffic control? It seems that you have crew, but absolutely no management. They litereally left their paying customers to fend for themselves in an empty airport for the night. People were obviously getting livid.
I finally gave up, leaving my cohorts to wander around an empty airport trying to find Ryanair staff while I left shortly after to return home, in Sweden. Following up the next day, it seems that the flight did eventually leave. I have an email from Ryanair apologizing for the delay. But if you bought insurance from them, then you could make a claim!
Clearly someone was giving them instructions about the situation in the UK, and about the immigration procedures and issues in Copenhagen. If they had shared that information, i.e. "don't worry, immigration will return once we are cleared to depart. The airports have been re-opened. We'll be on our way soon.." then I and others may have waited it out. Instead, I've wasted an entire day with packing and travel to the airport, paid for a flight to the UK, paid for train tickets from Sweden, and will now have to go through the whole process again.
Do I blame Ryanair for the weather in the UK or an airport closing? No. I do blame them for their poor handling of a situation that is probably fairly common for an airline. Instead of running and hiding from passengers, useful information and a bottle of water would have been much more appreciated.
Disturbingly poor actions from an airline, even Ryanair. I now wonder if their pilots are as poorly trained or prepared in case of an unexpected incident in the air? I hope that is not the case.

We used Ryanair in December for a cheap flight on a short break. We were very dubious as we have heard poor reviews however the date and price fitted our plans so we went ahead. We were very surprised, they were organised, the airline was on time, clean and the service did exactly what it said on the tin. Definately no complaints from us, we got exactly what was advertised

Changing flights destination - all look good, difference in flight price seem reasonable, click click, agree, difference to pay from what already paid was £11. Ok, pay with Paypal, £11 again. Payment taken, rescheduled flight all looking good, happy times.
Well, until I got notification from Paypal that I actually paid £81. Looking back at my booking reference on Ryanair website, there was a £70 fee for amending flights, which I kinda expected, I looked for it but was nowhere seen in the booking process.
This is theft, pure and simple theft.

Ryan air is the greediest horrible airline out there. They allow you to either pay for seats or get random seat allocation. But when you check in they purposely seat your party away from each other to try to get you to pay for seats in order to sit together. Disgraceful. I can understand if those are the only seats available but we have been allocated seats 12 rows apart with an almost empty plane! And we are travelling with out 6 month old daughter. I am NEVER EVER flying with Ryanair again.

Just returned from Barcelona having used Ryanair car hire.
Moral of the story:- use Ryanair Car Hire at your peril.
I had 2 problems at Barcelona airport with Ryanair via Centuaro.
1. I was charged twice, once by Ryanair and second by Centuaro, first in £ and the second at the airport in € ????? Will I ever get any money back?, Lots of unnecessary hassle.
2. Stupidly, I took out Ryanair's extra car insurance which Centuaro refused to accept - this ended up costing me another €120. Again, I doubt I will ever be compensated.
Trying to find an email to complain to is proving very difficult!!

Booked with Ryanair to bring is back from Spain,I was on the 6ft row,no cofee and no change it happens, but what i didnt expect was the Attitude off the young man that should have been proffesional,I am a paying Customer at the end of the day.
Then later on bought more refreshements paid in English pounds and got my change back in Euros,I didnt want that,id just got rid of all my currancy on purpose, when i told him i didnt want that,he said ok ill have it,and put it in his pocket. Would you really expect this from Cabin Crew? I would expect nothing less from there,Very low standard of care . I have travelled all around the world so i know full well how i would expect to be treated,I believe they need a refresher courses off BA in fact, think they all need re training,Suppose they would argue you get what you pay for. But honestly pay he extra and avoid at all cost

Generally, I had been opposed to the bad reputation that proceeded Ryanair, however I'd never had need to until my flight was delayed and a 2 hour flight took 9 hours to complete. I sympathise the catalogue of errors which lead to delay after delay were not entirely Ryanair's fault, their tight turnarounds and lack of customer care is within their control. No food or refreshments were offered during the 7 hours spent on their aircraft, they actually hadn't restocked sandwiches and ran out of all other meals! On following up with their customer service for reimbursement of additional occurred expenses, they were unhelpful and unsympathetic. I won't be offering my custom as you get what little you pay for!

Not customer friendly company.
Unexpected extra charges always added after the purchase of a ticket, these charges and the way Ryanair sells products like seats, cabin bags,no cabin bags, priority etc.....are changing continuosly, making me very confused, and not happy at all.
Also in my personal experience, about three months ago, I was stranded at Ciampino airport for a long time, as my Ryanair flight was delayed for over 5 hours.
Then few days later I applied for a compensation, but all the companies where I submitted my claim replied instantly to let me know that Ryanair never pay compensations for delays of any kind.
For my peace of mind I will never fly again with ryanair.

Booked a flight with Ryanair as it was departing from my local airport. I was travelling to a wedding which could not be missed. When Ryanair announced industrial action by the pilots I rang to cancel my flight only to be told "we are a non refunds buisness." I tried to cancel it with plenty of notice. The so called customer service was a joke, abusive and uninterested. So I ended up paying for return flights which I couldn't rely on or cancel. I will NEVER give this company a penny again, and would urge everyone to avoid them at all costs.
