rented an RV, and then had the owner make false claims of damage. RVshare was less than helpful - buyer beware.

I like RV share it.s handy. I was not crazy when I made a request to rent an rv in a specific location to get reverse prospecting inquiries from other owners that were 100 miles away. ( I wanted an rv delivered to my son's house for extra sleeping capacity)
The biggest reason I deleted a star was because I think the insurance of $17.95 a day is not commensurate with the value of the 15' trailer I rented. I can understand if I rented a motorized rv. or even an expensive trailer that I was towing. but I had the unit delivered it seemed a bit pricey and has made me evaluate the value of RV Share.

I am disappointed that I wasn't given a refund on the mileage difference. I should if gotten $90 back. Plus I haven't received my security deposit back yet

Showed many trailers in my search. Able to find the perfect one...size and price. Good reminders about payments so no questions. Very above board

I first tried using RVshare in 2017. I found an RV to rent and secured it with full
payment. Then the owner backed out at the last minute. You gave me my money back (thank you) but that didn't make up for the upset and scramble ro find another RV. I tried again this year and was pleased to have a good experience with renting. However, there were technical issues with signing the contract online. It took three tries calling your help line to resolve that. And then we needed road service while out with the RV and it was not helpful. The call center personnel were completely unfamiliar with RVs and unable.to find help.Of course, it didn't help that we were in an area where cell service was spotty at best. We resolved our problem with the help of a park ranger. All that said, I am reccomending RVshare to friends.

There were some bugs at first in getting my renter's agreement to me, but RVShare provided the services they advertised, and we enjoyed our RV trip to Mount Rushmore and Yellowstone.

I think this is a great service and one that I'm glad we tried. Our first experience went very well. I'm sure we'll be repeat customers. Thanks!!

Way better than buying a camper! No monthly payment, no upkeep, no monthly insurance, no storage fees, no worries!

If you’re the owner, get the renter’s policy & get written verification they have full coverage and covered for rental vehicles. (It may seem invasive to ask for this, but it’s easier and doesn’t cost extra money). I’d also recommend trusting only qualified insurance companies, such as State Farm.
If you’re the renter, validate your full-coverage, inform your insurance company you’re what you’re renting, and verify you’re covered.
In both cases, it’s cheaper for the renter and faster for the owner if something unfortunate happens.
NGIC (National General Insurance) is RV Share’s offered insurance provider. But what is insurance? To both NGIC & RV Share, that question is subjective. After a 25-page turner and an accident later, you find their definition they have predicated as EXCESS coverage only, which means, they won’t pay if they can make someone else pay, which begs the question, why did they take your money, without question, without a “Hey, you may be covered by your insurance already”, then do absolutely nothing about the result of a claim.
The result of this practice took weeks to get through and the RV owner was the one heavily punished for my mistake but RV Share’s and NGIC’s lack of transparency and NGIC’s feet-dragging.
As a result, I found my company (well inside a fortune 50) would promote discounts from RV Share. I drew up a complaint of this shady practice, they agreed and have taken the RV Share offering down, so ideally, I would have saved my peers some effort.

Anyone who has used Airbnb will be familiar with the concept. The program works great. No issues.

Is an advertised RV van available or is it NOT, that is the question!!! I went about the process of renting a RV van from the company RVshare on Sept. 23rd. A sophisticated process, where one has to upload photos of their driver’s license and then allow RVshare to photograph you, via electronically on a cell phone or a computer camera, and the company then captures the photo and uploads it to make sure it matches the license and other info.
Upon my finishing their application process I was notified Sept. 23rd at 5:44 pm that I had successfully passed their ID verification process and my credit card was charge for the actual rental. On Sept. 24th at 7:00 am I received notification from the company that the additional refundable security deposit of $500 had also been charged to my credit card and was on “hold” whatever that vague “hold” meant. And also informed that “You’re just about ready to go!”
And then on Sept 24, at who knows what point in time, I received a message, via the company’s internal e-mail system, that “ I’ m very sorry Sharon, but we just booked our last available camper before your reservation request came through. RVshare has refunded the payment you've made in full”. How can this be when the company’s website showed there was availability the day I booked and the website blocked out the days I had requested on the site to show I had booked those days???? Then the company charged me almost immediately for the RV van rental and the next morning charged me for the security deposit. How is it that the system showed a van available, scheduled and then booked and yet I’m now being told it is NOT available? How could the company take my money and my security deposit and verify that I had passed their ID verification process and yet tell me after the fact that the RV van is NOT AVAILABLE!
This is NOT ACCEPTABLE and very poor business practice! If it had been myself that had canceled the RV van I would have been penalized financially you can be assured!!!!!!!!!! I will not be doing business again with RVshare nor with the company Travellers Autobarn, which is the company that was advertising the van through RVshare!

This was my first time renting an RV so I was a bit leery. RV share made it very easy for me to find the right RV, make the reservation, make my payment, and ultimately go on my trip. This was a hassle free experience and my deposit was refunded 100% in a a very timely matter. I am looking forward to my next rental through RV share.

I received a couple of texts while on the road but not knowing who sent them I responded with the intent of writing to the owner to request information. When we returned the RV he told me he never received any of my texts. I assume my texts were received by someone at RVshare but that may not be true. It would be helpful if all communication included the identity of the RVshare staff or owners.
