I was sceptical after reading all the negative reviews but I gave it a try and had one of the best customer experience. I paid with PayPal and so didn’t have any issues with card verification.
Product arrived next day, though I had to return and get a smaller size.
I usually wear size 10 (44), I ordered 9.5 but had to return and got size 9 instead.
Overall satisfied and will recommend and certainly use them again.

I was alarmed today when, having place my first order with Rubbersole.co.uk yesterday, I received an email asking me to send them a photo of my credit card so that they could verify my details (which I would never do). I've gone online to check that their published phone number is the same as in the email (it is), but when I call it there is a message saying that their customer call centre is temporarily unavailable (at 11am). I've now read some of the reviews and this has prompted me to share my experience. Not sure if my order will be forthcoming or not.

To balance out the bad reviews I thought I would recount my experience with Rubbersole. I ordered £300 worth of shoes two days ago and quickly received a really badly written email saying that there was a technical problem and that my order was stuck in verification and that I wouldn't be receiving the shoes until this was sorted (!). I then received a couple of more strange emails following up this email offering me discount codes and saying my email (which I had not sent) had been forwarded 'up higher'. I then took it upon myself to read the reviews on this site and panicked thinking I'd been scammed. I wrote back to customer services to say I'd received a couple of very odd emails and that I'd prefer to cancel the order and get a refund, which to their credit they gave me happily within a few hours. I think, on reflection, I will give this company another try although I would offer some advice to them; that if they are going to operate in the UK, that they get someone to rewrite their customer service offerings by someone with professional level English so people don't think they've been scammed. On the plus side, they do seem like very nice responsive people with a lovely selection of shoes. Yes, I think I will try them again.

Returning some shoes seems something impossible to do with Rubbersole. After returning some shoes because they didn’t fit I requested for a full refund which was approved. However after a week of not hearing anything I received an email to say that my return is on hold because I needed my bank details and that the PayPal details I provided were no longer held on the system.
I provided these details by return of email as requested only to find one week later I received exactly the same email.
Upon ringing customer services I was told that the email address I was replying to was in fact incorrect and I should of used a different address, although the email didn’t state this! I then proceeded to provide my IBAN details and expected between one and three days wait to receive a full refund. EIGHT days later I’m still waiting. Every time I ring customer services I keep getting told sorry about that it will be with you shortly. In fact I doubt I will ever receive my money back. Although this is being investigated I’m yet to get a reply from customer services because they frankly don’t care .

I was a little wary after seeing some of the recent reviews however I ordered from Rubbersole yesterday at 11am and have just received my shoes with free delivery at 1pm today so I really can’t complain!

Ordered some shoes which were a gift and therefore needed them by a certain date so I paid for next day delivery. The delivery did not arrive the next day and so the gift was late which was extremely embarrassing. Have since e-mailed a couple of times to request that my next day delivery fee is refunded to me as the order was received within the timescales stated for free delivery. Have never had any response about the issue and will not use them again.

Ordered Tuesday and was delivered Saturday when in actual fact they had said it was due Monday /Tuesday so that was a great start. The item was very well packaged. And the item itself which was a diesel leather jacket was just as expected. Recommend this company despite some of the bad reviews

Always a bit of a lottery when ordering from a company for the first time. I needn't have worried, Rubbersole had a great choice of products and delivery arrived when it was supposed to. Delighted with the service.
Had a problem with the item that I purchased, got in touch with Rubbersole, they could not have been more helpful and replaced my item, no quibbles. I was expecting to be told there was nothing they could do!! Had a great experience with Rubbersole and use them again.

I was initially concerned after I read the reviews for this website. Suspiciously, as soon as I bought a bag from there, the exact page I bought it from no longer existed. However, I did immediately receive a shopping order, but the more detailed invoice was just a blank screen.
Growing more concerned a read the reviews on this page, and began to feel more and more anxious. However, my package arrived around 24 hours later (I paid the extra shipping fee for UPS delivery as I needed it for a festival) and the bag was not faulty in anyway, and had all the relevant coverings to prevent damage to the bag.
I wouldn’t usually leave a review but seeing as the reviews here are predominantly negative, I thought I’d share my own experience with the website.

The product quality is good and product delivery is reasonably fast, but trying to get hold of their customer service is another matter! For past few days I have tried and there has been a message to say that they have a problem with their systems. Now the message says that the customer service is open Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm. I'm struggling to understand which part of 3:30pm on a Thursday doesn't fit into that bracket. The issue Im trying to solve with them, is that they don't know how to do refund on a purchase paid via PayPal! (something that has never been a problem with any other retailers)

SCAM WEBSITE! BEWARE! They will attempt to get your address details by asking for a utility bill and even a photo of your credit card EVEN AFTER YOU'VE PAID AND THE TRANSACTION COMPLETES ON YOUR CARD!. You won't have to do that for literally ANY other online store. just shop elsewhere! its safer! Their "contact centre" is non-existent and simply directs you to an email address. Reported them to my bank,. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Rubbersole have taken my money and not delivered my goods. They have implicated Spartoo and the carrier Hermes in their deceit especially by blaming the driver of the van for not doing his job and saying that they are part of Spartoo so they must be on the level. In order to refund my money for goods not delivered they have asked for my photograph and phone number. The wording and grammar in their emails demonstrates their dodgy business. Despite my request they have not refunded my money. They sent me a photograph that suggests I live in a shack to prove where the driver left my parcel, it bears no relation to any place on my property. My money is now lining their pockets or funding some distasteful activity. DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY. They will probably reply below with a sticky sweet promise that my refund is on its way DO NOT BELIEVE THAT EITHER.

Ordered a nice little rucksack from them a couple of weeks ago - lovely looking bag, exactly what I wanted.
I used the bag a handful of times within the first week, when I closed the little pouch at the front, the whole zip snapped off in my hand. Having emailed them about my faulty bag and having no reply, I emailed again 1 week later. Again, no reply so I tried looking online for a contact telephone number - nothing.
I have been left without a reply, a fully functioning bag and out of pocket!!
Will not be using them again - customer service is shocking.

Asked for too much card information after the purchase which raised suspicion. They delievered quickly, but gave me the wrong size and colour. Fortunately for me, i prefered the colour and the size was a good fit, otherwise this would have been an awful experience

Despite the reviews I was a bit reluctant to use the site as I didn't like how much information I had to hand over about myself when signing up and the mailouts look a bit dodgy but I've had nothing but a good experience with them. I ordered some boots which were in perfect condition and chose to exchange for another size and I think the new size were sent out within a week. I ended up returning the second pair due to look rather than fit but the refund was processed within a week of return, would definitely use again. FYI Spartoo appear to be the same company

I recently bought a pair of check flame vans, I was originally going to buy them for £55 from ASOS but ended up getting them for £41 from here (very happy with the saving). When I ordered the shoes it said they would be delivered on Tuesday the 15th but i actually received them on Friday the 11th which I am very happy about considering it was free delivery. I didn't experience any of the issues that some other customers have experienced. All in all I am more than satisfied with this website and would definitely get shoes from here again

Shame others haven't had very good experiences but I can hand on heart say I have had no issues at all. There was no 'verify your card' at all for me - which is what the person below had an issue with. Ordered shoes I had to send back to exchange for another pair. Easy and free return process but the shop I returned them from did not give me the correct receipt. I emailed it to Rubbersole and explained the situation and they replied very quickly saying they would monitor the return. When I emailed a day or so later to see if it had been returned they again replied very quickly and said that, even though they could not see the return yet, they would put through the exchange. Got my replacement shoes within a few days (from France I believe). I found their customer service to be really good and very quick - and actually very refreshing, especially for an online company.

This company processed my order/transaction, and promptly withdrew money from my credit card. A few days later they asked me for a photo of the card as "validation". I had no issues with this, so I sent them the photo.
They did not reply for several days, and when pushed on when they will send the shoes, they claimed that they requested further validation by asking for proof of identity. They then added that because I hadn't responded, which is a complete fabrication - they cancelled the order.
Not only did they waste my time by cancelling the order without notice, they did not refund me my money. I will now have to call my credit card company and open proceedings.
Any excuse from this company about "validating" cards in their "terms and conditions" is purely a misdirection. Simply because they're more than happy to take your money first and then ask questions later. Besides, I adhered to everything they asked for and they still fabricated an excuse to keep your money. Just refund my money!
