I take out 4 stars for a simple reason. You purposely upsell me every year by phasing out the plan I am on and releasing a richer plan that I do not need.
For instance, I upgrade for a new smartphone with a 2GB plan. 2 years later, you decide that this particular plan I am on is not eligible for a new phone subsidy and suggest me plans that are much more than 2GB that would be eligible for a subsidy. You do that year in and year out.
Now I want to buy a Samsung Note 10+ but I can only get a subsidy by selecting a 125.83$ 15GB unlimited Internet plan?! which gives me the fastest speed as long as I do not exceed 15GB of data usage otherwise the speed is slowed down to 256kbps once I exceed that….

Worst customer service around. Literally spent almost 2 hours on the phone. I was disconnected 2 times and at the end no resolution. I returned Rogers ignite cable box and modem because the service was absolutely crappy. It wouldn’t integrate with home security system.l, Lutron lighting or google home. Internet cut it about 20-30 times a day. They said they would credit the account and sent a box to return the equipment. I returned the box end of May. They say they revived the box July 23rd however whoever received it didn’t verify the contents or apply it to my account so I sit with a 650 dollar bill which credit department calls 2 times a day but until the investigate it. Nothing will be done.
Why should us a s customers have to be the ones affected by crappy employees and management.

This is regarding Rogers credit. DO NOT except a card from Rogers. You will live to regret it. I made a purchase, the merchandise came but I was not notified so the package went back to the merchant.
The disputes department is absolutely the WORST!!!!!!!!
The merchant refunded the money to the credit card company however the they would not refund the money onto my card. There argument is that since I didn’t receive the package (not my fault, that’s on UPS) when it was delivered they did not have to issue the funds back onto my card!!! This has been going on since May.
Another thing is they slip in additional fees that if had read the “ book” they ask me too before signing for the card, maybe I would have seen this train wreck coming. Poor customer service. Every time I try enquire about this they will leave me on hold or and eventually hang up on me.
I have other cards that are amazing, with lower interest rates.
Don’t bother with this trash. You will end up in dept.

I was a customer for 12 years. They were forcing me to ¨upgrade¨ to an ¨infinite¨ plan for 75$/month while I already had the same service for 56$/month. They would not price match their competitors. I went with videotron for 52$/month...

I used to love Rogers but now 85% of the time I get no service. Customer service has always been good to me but data coverage has become extremely poor. After many years I'm thinking of going to another provider once my term is up in a few months.

Why are your Rogers employees telling customers to sign up with Fido?
I was always a Rogers customer but I moved out of the country and moved back to Canada. I wanted to sign up with Rogers again when I moved back to the gta. Rogers ran my credit and I was ready to set up my service. I went to the Rogers store to choose a plan and get a SIM card and this is what happened next...
I was told by a sales agent at the Sandalwood store (Bristol and hurontario) In Mississauga to sign up with Rogers. He kept pressuring me to buy his iPhone ten but when I declined to buy a phone and only wanted to sign up with a plan with my unlocked device, he told me to go over to Fido store and buy their plan instead. I was a little surprised at first because he recommended another cell phone company while his manager was also working in the store. The associate told me it would be cheaper and that Rogers and Fido were basically it’s the same company. So he Introduced me to a Fido employee and it was the worst mistake that I ever made . Please see a copy of the review I posted about Fido below.I’ve now had to file a complaint against fido with the CCTS.
Dear Rogers, word of advice, do not refer potential clients to your crappy Partner ‘Fido.’ Fido just makes you look bad.
Do not for the love of God, sign up with Fido. A Rogers employee recommended them and I regret it!!! I cancelled Fido service after ten days because I was going over my data and I rarely had that issue with Rogers and I was with Rogers for ten years. Because I cancelled their service, they took back the promotion they gave me. A 70 dollar bill went to 400 dollars with only 10 days use. All of a Sudden, they were finding ways to penalize me Because I cancelled and went back to Rogers. Keep in mind my phone was not under contract because I bought the phone outright from bestbuy in the USA. Lol. How does 8 gigs of ususage turn into a 400+ bill?
These people are disgusting and now they are demanding I pay it or they will ruin my credit. I’m reporting this to the crtc. How disgusting.

I had been a Bell customer for approximately 40 years with a land line and then a cell customer for approximately 20 years with the expected ups and downs. In September 2018, I decided to give Rogers a try.
I live in a small hamlet, Caistor Centre, Ontario, which is about half way between Hamilton and St. Catharines. Before switching I did my due diligence for Rogers coverage and was assured they would be able to service my account every bit as well as Bell.
7 MONTHS OF HELL! Rogers has suggested I purchase a booster, they physically replaced my phone, they've switched out my SIM card 3 times, I've spent hours on the phone with Tech Support changing settings, and now they have sent the phone, Samsung Galaxy S9, to their repair department for examination which could take between 2 to 6 weeks.
This was the final straw as when I took it to the Rogers Store they didn't have any loaners! Luckily, I still had my old phone and am now using it. IT'S STILL DOING ALL THE SAME UNACCEPTABLE THINGS! To me that says it's ROGERS not my phone.
IF YOU CAN'T SERVICE THE AREA BE HONEST AND DON'T OFFER THE SERVICES!

About as good as bell. Acceptable customer service, but nothing too over the top.
