Robb Vices has scam-like customer support and subscription policies. They charge you for your second subscription box before you've even recieved your first one. Additionally, unlike their competitors, they don't notify you before you're going to be charged (for example, Bespoke Post gives you a couple days' warning). Instead, they notify you upon charging you, and even if you respond immediately to the email they absolutely will not refund you because you're "a couple hours after their deadline." They state that it's in their policy that they will not refund you the day the subscription renewals. That is, of course, a legal protection for them. It does not mean that it's customer friendly policy, though. It's quite shady.

What a waste. Received package 12/28. Not at all high end. Was enclosed in a cheap plastic bag with bar code like you would find in a bargain bin discount store. Order on 12/12. Bad

I purchased the year subscription and the first box was nice. After that they have gone down in value and use. I was very excited about it because I use to use the bespoke box which was less money and a great value. Wanted to try something new but very disappointed.

We subscribed for two years and received a box a month....well not quite every month, sometimes a month is skipped and you have to call. Robb Vices did not automatically send a replacement box, they added one on to the end of the subscription. Very unprofessional. When we signed up we were at a Robb Report event and told that we would receive caviar for every sign up, we signed up and also did a year’s subscription as a gift....never got the caviar. Called several times.... nothing. The first year the boxes were excellent, we thought the boxes, packaging and quality of the contents went way down in 2019. Many of the items couldn’t be given away, many we just tossed away. Great idea....but I wouldn’t recommended.

I signed up to try the service. They charged me $114.90 for first box and before it arrived I was charged $174.90 for the second box. I tried to cancel and they would not cancel the first two boxes even though I had not even received anything up to this point. Also, you are stuck with what they send even if you do not like or want the item. No exchanges,, no returns!! Beware!! This is not a company concerned about you being happy with your purchase.

I decided to give Robb vices a try, after 5 months the box were pretty disappointing, nothing if real value or interest to me.
I inquired about canceling the person responded on how great the next box were going to be but to let them know if i decide to cancel, so i gave it one last try. They sent a leather bag that was not even of interest to me or i bet anyone who got it. So i emailed saying i would like to cancel their response was that i missed the cancel deadline.. VERY shady people.
Thank you for reaching out. We have recently shifted towards handling customer care issues via email and chat only. This way both parties have a paper trail of the correspondence! We do not have access to any voicemails that are left, this is why we removed our phone number from our website. We can definitely assist you with this request via email!
We are so sorry to hear you would like to cancel your subscription. Our upcoming boxes are due to be some of the best yet, so we urge you to keep your membership active!
We don’t want to give too much away, but these next few boxes are going to feature everything from stunning glassware to elegant cashmere. We have also created a box that we think will go down as one of our very best. It has been curated in partnership with one of the most celebrated designers in New York!
Another benefit to keeping your account active is that it will lock you in at your current rate. Our pricing increases for new members from time to time, but if you keep your account active, you are unaffected. You will also continue to receive access to special offers on Vices Reserve.
P.S. If you choose to keep your membership active, we will work with our eCommerce team to get you a $30 gift card to Vices Reserve as a renewal gift!
Please confirm via email how you wish to proceed!
Response to my cancel request
Thank you for confirming. We have turned off the automatic renewal of your subscription and you will not be charged again. Your subscription did renew last month for another 3 month term. It is too late to cancel that renewal and issue a refund. We had to be notified prior to October 1st if you wished to cancel that. You will receive 3 more boxes (October, November, and December) and then your subscription will end.
SHADY dont waste your money with these people, for the money you pay you can buy things of actual interest and value.

I got the first box today that I bought as a birthday gift for my husband. His bday was 11/5. It’s the 13th. By email Support sent an attached card to give him. Attached to the email sent to me but which addresses him. I experienced the same weird written-in-stone problem as others, with them having to bill me twice the first month.
Almost every negative review mentions the messed-up billing and late shipping. Perhaps to address those complaints, I got an email from RV asking for my permission to double-bill, saying I had the option of not getting the second box because of their in-stone shipping rules. I said I hadn’t gotten the late first box yet, so how would I know if I wanted to order another month at the top price. If I had gotten the first box, I wouldn’t have re-ordered a second month. So now I have another box coming, which will be long from now. So then I turned off the renewal and had to quit, not wanting to pay perhaps for three boxes and perhaps not getting any. Seems a new customer might warrant special shipping. If this were my business I’d fix it. They could spend some of the cash they’re making on these as my first box has a total retail value of $145.89, $14.06 less than the monthly $159.95 price. Yes, I looked everything up and took photos.
There is alcohol or related bar ware in most boxes. I see that those comments from reviewers are left unanswered. The Message from the President talks about some beer chug drinking game he likes. And that’s all it talks about. ?? The stylish people I know enjoy things other than consumables. The other materials, like their FB page, are all sales flyers. No Community Chat or other content like you’d find in most other boxes, like FabFitFun. Notice how the replies mention how high-end they are and the buyer just might not know the brand? Or some other comment that implies the buyer is unsophisticated? Well I’m not unsophisticated. I am, though, totally at a loss as to how I’m going to present this October box (received today November 13, 2019) to my husband without him laughing! I realize that some boxes won’t fit everyone but the thin crystal beer set, .7oz corn snack, 1.0 oz matzo, 2 oz? of caramel corn, ‘gourmet’ cocktail mixer and a jar of truffle mustard is to laugh. He can’t open this in front of a friend! Cheapie-sized snacks?! Even with great ingredients they could kick-in an ounce or two for another person to share. What high-end person do you know who lets another choose their crystal? I wouldn’t have minded some alcohol in this box as then it would’ve had more actual value. Curious, I checked resale sites and found that Ebay sellers can’t even unload items from former boxes! The ancient video that runs constantly on Facebook should have a message that $350 value items are not the norm instead of letting the video stand alone.
The reason I have money is because I don’t waste it. I even pay retail for luxuries. This company needs to fix their billing, shipping, curating and listening skills, instead of constantly bragging about how luxurious and tasteful they are. WE are the judges of that. p.s. My husband did laugh at the box.

Horrible customer service. In ability to accept wrongdoing or mistakes, s they are only able to point fingers at their carriers or their customers. You MUST provide proof that they acted poorly, so keep PERFECT records. They will deny their mistakes until it is impossible. I have yet to hear of the wilily of a box, as the gift has yet to be received. I will more than happy correct my review, if the customer service changes and the gift i finally received.

I signed up over a month ago, got the “free” gift which is not a bad speaker... the power button sticks, the RV Customer Service said they were few placing but still haven’t.
I’ve now been charged for TWO boxes 175 bucks (TWICE) and the only thing I’ve received has been the broken speaker.
I had such high hopes. Now I hope to not be disappointed by these first two boxes.
Customer service people were responsive and pleasant... but I joined for some cool stuff and I haven’t seen anything yet.

Robb Vices is a SCAM. ROBB VICES IS A SCAM COMPANY. They try to block the customers that give the honest bad reviews. They continue to charge even after cancellation. Scam Robb Vices is not a good company.

My wife gave a prepaid year of boxes for a Father’s Day present. Almost 2 months since the last box despite calls and their reassurance. First box was cheap playing cards and a poor Bluetooth speaker. Save your money and skip the slick marketing you will be glad you did

I’ve really enjoyed being a member since joining. I’ve always liked subscription boxes, so I get a few of these but this is definitely my favorite. They don’t have a central theme besides luxury, hard to find goods that sometimes I didn’t even know existed. I’ve gotten the box as gift for family and friends too and people love it - highly recommend for the person that has everything.

Box never arrived. Emailed customer service who said that the box would ship after Memorial Day because people travel on that holiday. What??? Still no box for May and we’re almost at the end of June. Emailed customer service again. Now they’re MIA with no response.

Some hits and some misses as far as curation. To be expected I suppose.
Timing of delivery is probably the most frustrating thing. It's March 26th with a few days left in the month and have yet to receive my March box. I feel the dates continually slip.
Had a few instances of missing items. Overall, customer service has been solid however.

I love the concept of Robb Vices and have enjoyed the majority of boxes...once they have finally arrived. I have had 2 main problems:
1) Regularly delayed / late boxes, where I need to reach out to support to ask what the deal is. Many "monthly" boxes have come in the subsequent month and I have had to reach out for context, rather than RV proactively sharing with me / customers.
2) Most recently, having to reach out in 3 back to back months asking why I was not receiving boxes, as the team repeatedly did not restart my account, despite me paying to start my subscription over again. This resulted in countless emails in long email threads, needing to reach out to ask why I was not receiving my box, why my account was not re-enabled despite my payment and update to account to restart subscription.
Overall, the customer experience has been very poor. I am close to cancelling my service and changing from recommending to friends to sign up to RV, to instead advising against RV.

I have had the absolute worst customer experience out of any subscription service used in the past few years. It's been over six months and have not been reimbursed for a month they never delivered. Getting a hold of any human representative is near impossible. Only one month was delivered on the month it was supposed to be, and it was just constant excuses of why they couldn't deliver a package in a month time frame. I do not recommend this business despite them having interesting products.

I look forward every month to receiving my Robb Vices box. They usually contain a fabulous mix of outstanding products that are unusual, high quality, and of great interest to me. However, sometimes, I feel let down when the box contains only one item or products that don't interest me (which is rare.) I wonder the price to value ratio, now that the price and shipping costs have increased. To be honest, just when I'm thinking of canceling I receive another incredible box and stay in. Some of the boxes have been truly extraordinary, and I have discovered many terrific products I would not have otherwise.

I enjoy Robb Vices. Most of the boxes are things that have been very enjoyable. Some of them haven’t piqued my interest as much as others but over the lifespan than I’ve been receiving them that’s to be expected. And those I usually give out as presents. So overall pretty happy

I have been a Robb Vices member from the beginning and even after two years, I still get excited every time a new box arrives. Each box is thoughtfully curated, often with high-end gadgets and or delicious drinks. Some of my favorite items/brands have been discovered from these boxes- the honey whiskey cakes from the Brooklyn Baking Barons, wines from Groth estates, headphones from Master and Dynamic, a champagne sabre from Georg Jensen. There is always something new and trendy with a feel of luxury. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Omg, The experience from hell. They billed my credit card around April 20 for a three month subscription I have as of yet received my May box. They have several different emails this company is impossible to communicate with you can’t ever get anyone on the phone.
It was the biggest waste of time and money and energy! Run don’t walk from this company!

I have been a member for almost two solid years and up until a few months ago very happy with my curated selections. I have been overlooking lackluster boxes for a while now without complaint until February when I received no notification my box did not ship on time and I found out on social media what the box contained. I had to send an email to customer service to find out why my box had not shipped. They had not made an attempt to contact me prior to my inquiry. I felt that was poor service. It ended up being a problem on the shippers end to ship alcohol content boxes through fed ex. I was asked to change my shipping address to UPS for when they ship alcoholic boxes and for when they don’t I will have to change my address to Fed Ex for all others. Also I had to pay $5.00 to pick up the alcoholic box from UPS. Not very expensive I understand but without sounding petty this should have been paid by the shipper. My first year with Robb Vices was flawless. I am not sure why boxes have been shipping late and they’re communication has gone down.
