Price at first seemed ok but once you buy the product it goes down hill. I mounted the camera not 10 feet from my WiFi router. That was to much for it even though there’s a tv further away plus I can go to my shop which is 40 ft away and play music so it’s not the WiFi strength. So I bought the chime router enhancer and placed it about half way between router and the bell. That made very little difference, but at least it functioned well enough. Went on vacation and was getting alerts all the time all night. Turns out bugs can set this thing off also rain, leaves, and smoke. Their suggestion, adjust the field to a smaller area. Why have it then? So now I have been notified that I need to buy a monitoring program from them if I want to be able to save the videos. Also their help is really bad except for a few of them of course. My suggestion is don’t buy these products. I gave it one star because they don’t have any sub ratings.

4 years that’s how long I’ve been a ring customer but today I have had the worst customer service experience ever.
My doorbell started giving false motion detection so I contacted them (bear in mind it had worked perfectly for 4 years) and they used every excuse in the book to avoid replacing the product. Invisible birds, wind, angle of the doorbell!
Then they acknowledged they had changed the motion detection and you can not change it on the uk app.
These guys are a joke!

My doorbell has never worked properly since I purchased it I've contacted hive on line and they avoid returning my messages this has happened now with two different people I sent them a message last week still waiting for a response very disappointed with them and there product 🤷🏻♂️☹️😡

I have a Ring doorbell and a spotlight camera which I am happy with but the Customer Service is terrible. I called to put an annual plan in place and they accidentally charged me in dollars instead of pounds. Said the dollars would be refunded immediately and charged me in pounds all on the same day. That was over 2 months ago and several phone calls and e mails down the line I still haven’t got my money back! They are very polite on the telephone but put you on hold constantly and achieve nothing. USELESS!

I wish i could put 0 starts . Stoped working right after the warranty expired . I was told by 3 diffrent agants oh no we must reset it and such. Nothing helped 2 days later and seven phone calls . Being hung up on . I will never purchase anything from these goddamn clowns again. They should all be put in prison as criminals that is what they are. Cant even give me a straight anwser from india or whereever the hell the people work, asking me oh what time zone are you in. This is pathetic.

Product is well presented, expectations are always high when it’s packaged in a well thought out way. Problem came in operation didn’t work as expected app experience very poor! Support was available and tried to help!, however will now be repackaging the whole thing, in it’s very nice box and taking it back. I will replace it with the ‘ToSee’ product, which is far better and frankly cheaper!

Load of rubbish.. Evertime internet goes down the bell refuses to re connect but never does, now it wont work at all.. Total waste of money and customer support it a complete joke, just fobbing us off all the time with there try this options that never solves it.. Dont waste your money on Ring products...

All my Ring products have trouble with connecting to WiFi and when you tell them about it they say it is the WiFi signal. Interestingly though NONE of the other devices connected to my WiFi have a problem connecting or getting a strong signal. Also, when my doorbell rings, by the time Ring connects me the person is gone! This happens consistently every single time the doorbell rings. I find it interesting that my weekly milk deliveries are NEVER recorded. Finally when I just want to look at my camera when I hear or see something suspicious by the time it connects the suspicious sound has stopped. I am very sorry I selected Ring and wouldn’t recommend it to others. If they would give me my money back I would take it in a heartbeat and gladly return all the devices I purchased.

the app is full of advertising I can't get rid of.. the ads even mask a number of buttons in the settings section.

The ring doorbell is not good as a doorbell, it does not ring instantly. You press the button and are notified 10 to 15 seconds later. Our postman, yodel, dpd and other delivery men say the ring doorbell is too slow they don't use them anymore they knock on the door instead. We have had to put another doorbell up a radio controlled one that rings instantly. The other thing about the ring doorbell is if your internet goes down you have no doorbell. The cameras are good the doorbell is much too slow. We do have excellent wifi even ring can't sort it out.

Insane that the chat app has 4pt font and requires a direct to server email code before they can help you... wait, did I say “help” you? My bad. Unit became sluggish and then dropped motion detection all together. The trill is gone. Ring, if you’re reading this, try another chat service and verification process.

We just spent over an hour on the phone w/Ring, as well as trying chat online, in order to return three spotlights that simply will not work in this rural area. We were hung up on, disconnected via the chat twice, and additionally lied too (by Briana via online chat) and told that we had to pay full shipping to return the products. The website clearly states that we will pay simply a 5 dollar flat fee to return. Finally, after an hour of talking on the phone and simultaneously trying to chat online to get this resolved they switched us to a supervisor who assured us we would be receiving a return label with no fees. We shall see. We are still waiting for it. In addition, when we received the 3 spotlights there was no receipt in the box. When we tried to log into our account online they acted like our shipping order number didn't exist. They clearly have stall tactics to avoid paying return shipping. Horrendous customer service - they acted like they had no idea what we had ordered or who we were even though they have all of our information online. Returning a product that we have had approximately one week and are unable to use should be simple and stress free. They simply are trying to avoid paying return shipping fees. We will never buy a Ring product after this experience.

I bought a ring security camera nearly two years ago. One of the apparently "long life" bulbs has already blown and i'm told by Ring they can't be replaced but I can buy a new unit for £249!!
I have always struggled with sufficient internet, regularly having the system off-line, but now to have the first of two bulbs gone it has become apparent the system has been a waste of money.
It was purchased from charity funds to provide security, what a waste of donated funds!

Absolute rubbish. The sound quality is useless, the picture not much better. It takes quite a few seconds from the bell being pressed to it actually showing and then the sound quality is atrocious.
Then after 30 days it will not record, unless you pay them extra £3 per month for it to record, but for only 60 days then auto delete. It does not mention this extra charge on the packaging and I think a ripoff, as there is no cost to save to my phone! Just a money making racket for an inferior product. I will go for a far cheaper version, that has no monthly charge.
I have contacted them and all you get is their advertising blurb about the costs of ongoing recording, and them saying they hope I am enjoying using it, which I do not. I told them about the poor audio and video quality and this was ignored.
It is a pity as this was a birthday present from my sons and I don't really want to tell them to send back because it is rubbish.

Wish I'd of read reviews before buying. Great idea in theory but in reality its rubbish. £200 for something that runs out of battery really quite quickly. You have to subscribe to get to see what its recorded which is an absolute must if you want it for security or if you have poor internet.
By the time someone rung it, the app has rung on your phone and the buffering has finished you may just see whoever's is at your door driving away.
Do not buy, there's cheaper better ones out there.

NOT ALL representatives are knowledgeable and efficient, nor do they possess professionalism. While speaking with representative, and realizing she was not making ANY effort to assist me with issue of 'settings,' she blatantly says, "I'm not at your house, I don't know." I politely tell her, "I'll figure it out myself." I hang up the phone, wait a few minutes to check email for 'feedback' from Ring support; email never came, which tells me representative is responsible for sending email so he/she can be evaluated..Hmmmmm; NOT GOOD

In theory it's a great product but sadly it actually doesn't work very well. There's quite a long delay between when someone presses the bell and it actually rings, it takes so long to open the app that the person at the door has often gone by the time you can see them/speak to them and most annoyingly of all, the internet connection is terrible. Our system is very close to our modem and there is nothing wrong with our internet but it keeps losing connection and we keep having to try and reset it which is a complete performance. Honestly wouldn't recommend.

Dont wast your money, I have been on with their inept and clueless support team (some I cant even understand. On my second try with support I asked for a supervisor and after no help there she said a top tech would call me in 1 hour. Well its been 20 hours and no call. Then I tried their chatting after typing all info I get cut off, so I go back again and wait and wait NO RESPONSE. PLEASE dont waste your money

We HATE our Ring Doorbell 2,nothing but issues. Customer help ALWAYS blames our wifi but the other 4 wifi devices we use work flawless...nest,generac generator, sprinkler system, comcast stream, etc. We are away from the house and customer service informs us they can not help us. We even spent$ on the newest devices and we still have issues. Just like my last review, I get either butt shots or driving away in a vehicle before the device decides to spin up to functioning mode. They claim their devices are the 1st line of defenses. Really? We can't even speak to a customer service to log a fomal complaint. Seriously, don't listen to their ads, the devices do not work like they claim and meanwhile you are out a chunk of change. Can I say HEADACHE...
