We were totally not aware that you can only use one Certificate per visit.
Nothing wrong with having that rule but it should be "crystal" clear when you purchase multiple certificates for the same restaurant.

The website is slow, and often times out before finishing loading. I put some gift certificates in my cart, which now won't load. Restaurant.com then sent a 'save an additional 40%' email, and the link within won't load. The restaurant selection is horrible. In a city filled with tons and tons of restaurants, how are there so few good-rated restaurants available in the restaurant.com selection? My favorite part is when I click on 'FAQ' or 'Get help', it takes me to a broken link. Clearly shows how much this company wants to assist its customers.

I too have been scammed. However, I was able to get a number to call these people at restaurant.com. I received my bankstatement and I saw that there was 11 charges for $20 even each time per charge. I had never even heard of restaurant.com let alone use its services. So here is the phone number,
1-800-979-8985. Hope that helps every one out. Good Luck!

I received a $100 restaurant.com gift card as a gift (of course); what I am getting at is that I never personally paid for the gift card or a certificate through restaurant.com. When I saw all the restaurants that were listed on the website/app, I thought it would be neat to check out so many mom and pop restaurants as well as cafes. My first two restaurant experiences/uses of the gift card went by without incident. On my third try, the restaurant owner claimed his restaurant just ended up on the website, he did not recognize/honor the certificates, and he never came to any deals with restaurant.com. Moreover, he claimed that restaurant.com would not respond to his inquiries. I went to another restaurant after this without incident. Noting that several restaurants from the website/app no longer existed. At this point, I was thinking the website/app was not up to date and the owner's situation from the third try was a one off incident. I recently traveled to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, where I came across several restaurants that reiterated what the owner from my third try stated. In addition, they verified that, aside from receiving the forced/surprise advertisement on the restaurant.com website/app, they received no monetary benefit at all from restaurant.com. One restaurant owner went so far as to give me my $10.00 discount without using the certificate. After I experienced multiple incidents like this, I decided to leave $25 on the card and throw it in the trash. This idea is good (certificates for mom and pop restaurants). I appreciate the idea. However, after digging into what restaurant.com does, its business practices are so shady that I want nothing to do with it.

This is the biggest false advertisement lie and I'm so pissed they fooled me. This is not a gift card at all, its basically a coupon that will get you $5 - $15 off a purchase. Each restaurant requires you to purchase a minimum. So for example I could get $15 of if I spend $75 are more at this particular restaurant. They advertise it as if your getting a gift card for $75 at the discounted price of $15. So don't be fooled liked myself and purchase a coupon. I've honestly never heard of that concept. And to make thing worse most restaurant they have listed don't except the coupons and have no clue how they are even being sold.I'm going to dispute it with my bank and see if I can possibly get this refunded.

So if my headline didn't give it away, this company is trash. They harass you every single day multiple times daily. I've asked for 6 weeks everyday to be taken off the list. Today, I called them and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supposed supervisor came on and asked why I'm so bothered by a phone call. When I asked to be taken off the list he laughed and hung up on me. I called back again, I was hung up on. I called again and spoke to someone who seemed nice and I basically begged to be taken off of the list. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.
If I could give zero stars I would. I've threatened legal action. I've threatened their lives and their families lives at this point. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE EITHER AS A CUSTOMER OR A CLIENT.

I would like to make a confession that this business is not legit. it is a scam and even me the business Development manager feels that way. I can only pity those restaurants who have been tricked to join this Piece of $#*!

This is a big waste of money!!!!
They told me and sales me so much and told me I can cancel anytime. I tried I really tried but nothing works because they only have small unknown restaurants and the food are not good and the prices are high too. I can go to golden corral and get so much more food for the same prices.
When I try to cancel they keep dragging and told they will reply and/or call me back in couple of days but no reply or call back; so I called and they recognize my number so they won't answer until I used different number then they answered and told me they can't and won't refund my unused credit!!!!!

Save your money and do not do business with this ripoff scam. I have tried 8 different places and either out of business or do not know how they got affiliated with this scam company but an absolute joke. When called they wanted my bank info to see my payment to them. I am in no way sending my bank info to a scam company as such.

Jump through these hoops, hold your tongue to the right, rub your belly and pat your head ALL while you put your sensitive information out there for everyone to see. WAY TO COMPLICATED AND IT MAKE FOR A BAD EXPERIENCE AT ONE OF MY FAVORITE EATING SPOTS. Don't waste your time and just cut a coupon off a piece of paper.

I completed a lengthy survey after attending an event and received a "$25 restaurant.com gift certificate"...I go to the website to redeem the code and every single place has a minimum of $45 or $50 purchase...for a $25 gift card? Basically these aren't gift cards, just another mode of advertisement for the lack luster restaurants listed on their site. Almost all of the available options are not in my town, and when they are by the time I reach their minimum I'm already spending as I normally would without a card! I never spend $50 at a mexican restaurant or the small BBQ joint in our town. Give me a break. What a waste of time.

Poor restaurant selection and horrible company. Menu prices aren't updated regularly. Phone app doesn't work and customer service has ignored me so I have to print out certificates - and that doesn't work right. The certificate doesn't print on 1 sheet of paper - I have to print single certificate on 2 pages. Can't exchange multiple small cards for a single larger card - straight swap only.

I have recently purchased a number of certificates to use on an upcoming vacation. Restaurant .com recommends calling ahead to confirm certificate would be valid. I did call Antonio's Pizza and Pasta in Wilmington, NC on August 1, 2019 to confirm. The day manager said yes. Later that same day Antonio's contacted Restaurant.com to cancel their certificates. I had also planned to use a certificate at P.B. Clarks in King NC. This certificate was valid up until yesterday, 8/5/2019. They also cancelled. I used one certificate locally at Lilly's in Grove City. They accepted the certificate but shortly after they cancelled their certificates. I'm getting tired of exchanging certificates to other restaurants only to have these new restaurants cancel certificates once I get them. I have called Restaurant.com to find out additional information, but I'm not satisfied with their answers.

Restaurant.com tried to defend their criminal behavior but paypal sided with me as they couldn't produce any signed contracts for any of the restaurants(This is a an automated email they send to defend their criminal company). I really wish i had researched the company before purchasing but glad to have 100% of my money back! Put in a claim via paypal and get your $$ back!

Like others have said, this website is misleading in calling these "gift cards" when they're really coupons. But if it's a restaurant you were going to eat at anyway, I can look past that and be alright using it as a coupon. So if you have a $25 "GC" with a minimum purchase of $37.50 at the restaurant, then you only owe $12.50 Plus tax and tip (and your cost for purchasing the "GC"). It's misleading of course but not the end of the world...
What I can't look past is that they're adding restaurants without their knowledge. I have a $25 'gift card' to a specific restaurant, I called the restaurant to make sure they accept it and I was told not only do they NOT accept it, they've never even heard of this website!! How can this website be selling GCs/Coupons/whatever for a restaurant that never approved of it?!
I also have a "GC" from this site for a restaurant that closed before I got to use it.
So many reasons this website should not be allowed to continue scamming people out of their money!

This is probably the most annoying thing I've ever done. Downloaded the app, unable to navigate it. It was impossible to find anything because the window was huge and couldn't shrink it. Okay, went to the PC to the website. Again the most ridiculous attempt to locate a simple restaurant somewhere near me. It would not go to any location except New York and I am in Florida. I gave up. Have two 25.00 "gift cards" or coupons from my bank that are absolutely a waste of time.

I gave the restaurant.com cards to several people last Christmas and NOT ONE was able to use it. One person went to change to another restaurant and it zero'd out her money. By the time we contacted the company and they asked for her card number, she had already thrown it away. We were not aware that you had a minimum amount you had to spend at a restaurant in order to use the coupon. Some had a minimum of $100 that you had to spend first. Not many choices of restaurants in the Detroit area! Most were dives. I am embarrassed that I gave them out!

I'm so completely disgusted with the restaurant.com SCAM. I have $5 balance on a few certificates but your APP does not allow you to combine certificate numbers to redeem them. The restaurant choices are TERRIBLE and no where near the quality of those you use in your FALSE MARKETING SCAM. WHAT A DISGRACE!!
Reading the reviews, it appears NO ONE is satisfied with your company but I figured I would ask if someone can explain why you have set up a system to SCAM people and whether you are taking any steps to correct it. Generally, GOOD COMPANIES respond to customers who have a valid complaint and take steps to correct it and improve, but perhaps you are happier continuing on with your SCAM to defraid your customers.
I have a total of $125 worth of certificates and my first experience attempting to use a certificate was a NIGHTMARE. The restaurant even complained about how AWFUL is has been working with you.
Wishing I could get a refund, as using your certificates is more headache than it's worth.
A very dissatisfied customer

Received a promotion for restaurant.com through my electric company a few years ago.So I thought this was a legitimate good offer since it was being promoted by them. Made several gift card purchases to be redeemed at a local restaurant. Every time I went to redeem the certificate, the restaurant either did not accept it anymore or you need to spend an ridiculous amount of money to eat there when it would cheaper to just pick your favorite restaurant and go. In a 35 radius of my home there is not 1 restaurant that it is the type of restaurant that was promoted initially. They do not have 1 restaurant now that I would even eat at based on their cuisine and price to eat there with the gift card purchased. Called their customer service department to try to resolve it 3 times. Every representative that picked up sounded robotic and miserable, which is just another indicator of how the company is managed. Asked to speak with a supervisor and every time, they are either eating lunch or unavailable. Can't provide a proof of purchase because have been unable to redeem or even give as a gift. Stay away from this company. Great Customer service is everything which they fail to provide.

horrible experience, I had multiple $25 credits to use for restaurants. Every time I tried to redeem one for a restaurant, it would say it was redeemed, but the credit wouldn't go away, but the certificate for the restaurant had never showed up and if I tried using that credit again, it would say "oops, not enough credits left to redeem", even though it said the credits were still there. the customer service wasn't helpful, they would just send you photo instructions to your email that dont help. Half the instructions are out dated from the actual website. Can't used this app at any restaurant like it says. Don't waist your time or your money purchasing any certificates or deals on this app. IT'S NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!!!

I have had "money" in here since 2016...they have NO places worth going to anywhere near me except Marcos..I called and had the rudest guy on the phone...Tried telling him there were no places near me and the few that were 30 miles away, we would NOT go to.
Great concept, bad marketing and getting NEW and BETTER places
