I went the reservations website POSING as the hotel to make my reservations for an upcoming wedding. I followed all instructions and when I found the 2 queen bed suite I wanted, I pushed the reserve button. I filled in all my credit card info and when I received my confirmation page I noticed they put me down for a standard room. I immediately called the number telling them they gave me the wrong room plus they even charged me more than the standard room was advertised at. They would not budge. I emailedno apologiesonly they would try to cancel but I would still be charged. Let them know what I wanted them to do. I called the local hotel and they couldn't do anything until I got to the hotel and if they had a suite I could upgrade. I'm just sick not knowing what I'm going to get. Then I noticed they have already charged me for that room plus a $19.99 service fee that was not mentioned before I made the reservations. I'll NEVER EVER use this group or their affiliate, priceline.com in the future and I highly suggest that anyone considering them not use them either!

This company posed as Residence Inn. I was supposed to get a medical rate at the hotel in Skokie, Illinois, but they added a fee and took away my discount. They spoke so fast like a
shell game to confuse you. When I called the actual hotel to check on my reservation, Residence Inn informed me that a third party company had taken my reservation When I called to pretend to book another reservation, it became clear The booking clerk didn't know what I was asking for. They thought I wanted a discount for a block of rooms, and I had no idea that was even a thing. I had never heard of nor known about Reservations.com was until this incident. Reservations.com won't give me the rate I asked for and was told I would get from the medical center for our medical visit. RC won't refund my money, even though they could see I was confused and was really asking for something else.

I made a reservation through this company and realized that there was big difference in fees compared to just booking through the hotel directly. Then, when I tried to cancel, there was a non-refundable $20 service fee! Do NOT use this service...they should have offered to refund the whole amount because I had booked and wanted to cancel the same day and the reservation was months away. So I'm out $20 just because I used their service.
I wouldn't be surprised if my Credit Card gets hacked after using them as well. SO MAD!

I thought I was booking directly through a hotel but realized it was actually Reservations.com. I was booking for work and there was a non-refundable fee of $20 AND they refused to allow me to cancel my reservation just 3 minutes after I made it. AWFUL AWFUL customer service that gave me the runaround. DO NOT USE THEM!!! They totally posed as the hotel's own sight. I am a government employee and they would not honor my government discount that the hotel would have.

As others have indicated, do not use this site under any circumstances. A room that should have cost $79 wound up costing me $130 through reservations.com. Additional charges/fees were only made clear after the reservation was made. Customer service provided no assistance in trying to reach a more equitable outcome. Stay away!!

Make sure you want to make a reservation with this site, as there are no refunds, no discussion, even if you just made the reservation and made a mistake.

Check the Better Business Bureau first and read the 254 complaints also see various other sites that tell what happened to others like me. I made a reservation for a specific type of room that included breakfast. I get to the hotel and I have a basic room and no breakfast included. Of course I called the reservation center and was told by the supervisor that it was my fault for making the reservation online as he put it "by myself". What is the point of booking online making the correct selections and then being told it's my fault for not getting their help. I know what I selected and I didn't get it.

A form of Internet fraud_Phishing? all the below reviews seem to be right on. Thought I was going directly to the Hotel but I wasn't. Figured it out by the $14.99 fee that they broker through Priceline plus the outrageous fees. Called to cancel and got an over seas call center. Still waiting for my original booking to be refunded and they still expect me to pay the $14.99 fee. By booking directly through the Hotel I saved $170.00 for the 3 nights.

Scam website disguised itself as the hotel. Charged me extra $19.99 service fee and double the taxes that the hotel told me they charge. I paid them $200 for a room that would have cost me $130 if I booked directly with the hotel.

Worthless company... no respect for their customers...almost EVERY other site allows you to cancel.. I'm fine to take a fee, i get that, but the fact that it is completely non-refundable is the biggest joke. The better business bureau or someone who has some pull should shut these jokers down. HORRIBLE!!!

I feel like an idiot for not looking here first and avoiding these guys. My room rate was more expensive than it would have been otherwise AND they wouldn't let me cancel the third night. The hotel tried to help me out (they were great) but they couldn't get them to refund it either. I wouldn't be surprised if the hotel refunded reservations.com then they didn't pass it along to me. Never again.

I had a personal situation arise which changed my plans. I had to cancel my reservations and they were very understanding. My reservations were cancelled with a full refund. The only negative I have is the website is not user friendly. When I tried to cancel it wasn't easy to navigate. When I called customer service the agent was helpful. I will call in the future rather than try to use the website.

Disguises itself as a hotel website.
You will get charged a $19 per room fee unbeknownst to you until after the booking is complete and when you call back of course everything is non refundable.
Incredibly deceitful site. Use at your own risk.

Ok, it's our fault that we missed the "Ad" indicator on Google when searching for a room using a cellphone. However, I should have been suspicious when we could hardly understand the rep on the phone.
It got worse when he said they don't offer discounts (we thought we were talking to Wyndham, not some third party). Reservations says "Our rates at the time of booking, are among the lowest rates you will find online...." Not so -- we paid $75 for a $64 room which would have qualified for an additional 20% discount. He quoted us one price, then another, and when he finally got his act together, he gave us a still higher price. I know, I should have just hung up -- that's my fault.
I told the rep where we wanted to stay, I said it twice, and he still tried to book us into a hotel in the WRONG STATE.
Just stay away from these folks -- they aren't doing you any favors

I made a 2 night reservation, and plans suddenly changed. I only needed 1 of the 2 nights. When calling Reservation.com to modify, I was told that a change or cancelation was impossible, due to the hotel's policy. I then called the hotel to verify this and they laughed at it. They said they had no such policy, and that they were happy to modify the reservation. I called Reservation.com back to tell them what the hotel said. I was then told that they would call the hotel to verify, but after ten minutes on hold, they told me that no one at the hotel would answer the phone! What a joke! If you reserve with this campy, DO NOT count on getting a penny of your money back if your plans change.

I booked through reservations.com for a 5 night hotel stay. My flight got canceled so I missed the first two nights of my stay..ok, that's my problem. But when I got to the hotel on the 3 day they had no rooms available so I found another hotel. (I'm not to happy with the Ramada Inn in Bangor Maine either). I paid for a room that wasn't available.
Now I've been 5 days trying to get at least a portion of money back. So now I've called them 4 days in a row and just been told today it going to take 5-7 business day for them to review it for a refund. Just to review it? Huh? I plan to file a lack of service claim with my credit card company and see how that goes. And their customer service is very poor...and very off- shore so understanding them is difficult.
So after a week things worked out, The Ramarda was a stand up company and refunded my full stay without question and Reservation.com promptly refunded this to my credit card. It a few days of stress, but it worked out. But my lesson learned is to book directly through the hotels not a second tier agent. At least when you book directly with a hotel you only need to deal with one company and I think they become more responsible. I won't trash the Ramarda or Reservation.com; in the end they treated me right as much as a pain in the butt as it was.

I'm usually very careful not to use a booking agent and always call the hotel which is what I thought I did while traveling on the road today. I Google searched, and it appeared to be the actual hotel. I asked repeatedly if it was because he was somewhat rushed and rude(1st hit of a problem). He repeatedly assured me that this was in fact Laquinta & Wyndham. He also said there was only one room left at this location, completely false on everything.
I was charged a $14.99 booking fee which was included in the rate he quoted but explained as hotel tax. It actually was a separate transaction on my credit card. The amount for the actual room was less than that, probably what they pay out?? He also wouldn't honor my AAA discount...another obvious tipoff.
Hotel was prepaid upon my arrival and completely dead, not at all sold out...
So far my rush to book didn't amount to too big of a RIP off compared to what I'm reading but I feel that they now have my info, including email. I have alerted my credit card company to their shady practices and am on the lookout for any other charges.
Be aware and follow your intuition!

I made a reservation today for a Holiday Inn Express stay for 2 nights. I was defrauded by this horde of thieves. I did a google search for Holiday Inn Express and this POS phone number came up. When I called, I asked the rep if I had contacted Holiday Inn express. The rep said Yes. That was fraud. So when she went through the litany of charges, I thought they were customary sales tax. Then I got the email with the whole host of ridiculous charges. Turns out I was overcharged $45.81 with their bogus fees. Just a word to the wise: make sure that who you call is who they say thery are. Reservations.com: scum sucking low lives.

I was originally quoted a $109 price for a one-night stay. At the end of the phone call, I was told the price would be $155. When I asked why so high, I was told it was taxes and fees. When I asked them to just cancel, they offered to take off $14.99. I told them no, and to just cancel. They did. Then I saw that I had a credit card chard for the $14.99. That was not mentioned. I was shocked! NEVER NEVER NEVER use this site! If I could give a 0 on the rating, I most certainly would!

Buyer be ware!
We stayed at the Arizona Grand Resert. We thought we were getting a "deal", but when we registered, we found the same rooms $100 per nite cheaper. We were there only 2 nites and because of the T's and C's you agree to, I can not recover the lost $200 in small claims. This is like buying tickets to a ball game from a scalper. I will never use them again, they served no purpose and were very expensive (30% more).

Dying Mother, called to reserve a room for a week. Made the reservations no problem. Got to the hospital, decided to stay with the mother. Called and cancelled the room. Didn't know that the charge was non-refundable. Went to bank and filed a complaint regarding the charge. We are waiting to see if we can get our money back. I doubt it, what a piece of carp for a business.

If 0 stars was an option that would be my choise.
Booked a room on what I thought was the Comfort Inn website. My room charge was supposed to be $119 x 2 plus a sales tax of 14.125% or $271.62. They charged my credit card $299.23. The total included a service charge of $14.99 and extra sales tax of $12.62.
I called them immediately to cancel and they asked me if I would keep the reservation if the
extra charges were refunded. Stupid part of my brain said OK, still waiting for refund that will never come. I have reported the sales tax overcharge to NYS Sales Tax fraud unit.
Also advised Comfort Inn but they did not seem concerned, perhaps they are in on the scam.
MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON THE HOTELS WEBSITE BEFORE YOU BOOK!!!
