I too was scammed. I thought I was booking directly with the Marriott. It was these people instead. I ended up paying almost 1K more. They told me the block rate I inquired about was sold out and that they couldn't link the reservation to my account because of difficulties. The blatantly lied to me. The only good result is the result is that the reservation actually exists.

To be honest I would like to give no stars, I was just informed that even though I have a confirmed paid reservation through them for myrtle beach at the paradise resort, the hotel insist I don’t have a room, so when I contacted reservation desk . Com again I was given the run around, I’m extremely upset seeing as how our family is traveling from multiple states to meet at a hotel 3 bedroom ocean front view we apparently don’t have 😞, I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told by the supervisor I can pay the remainder of the balance they say I still owe at the desk of the hotel at the time he didn’t know I had 3rd partied the hotel customer service lady in with us and she told him that information was incorrect and he had nothing to say then .... I want this resolved seeing as my family is expected to go on vacation in November of this year ...

Reservation desk made a reservation with Hilton Inn and when I got there to check in the Holiday Inn told me they have NO ROOMS available . They kept my money and I had to call my bank and stop my card.
Never use Reservation Desk !

If there was a way to do no stars I would. I’ve called about my reservation about 5 times now. I have been told twice I would hear about the issue getting resolved that day. I still haven’t heard anything. This company sucks and don’t recommend doing any business with them.

These people are bunch of scumbags. They gave me hard time in refunding my money because the Hyatt front desk told me room was overbooked and there was a long waiting list so I asked them the Hyatt staff to refund me and she did in her system for me. When I asked for refund to the reservation desk guys, they asked me the name and phone number of the Hyatt front desk whom I talked to and canceled my reservation due to room not being available. I said the word "bull sh**t" when talking to them and they said the language is inappropriate and if I talk like that they won't refund my money. After a week of arguing with them I finally I got my refund but they still charged me their service fee even though I asked for a full refund. Their business should be shutdown period.

less than one star ! Reservation desk is a scam. Save yourself an afternoon or two of phone calls afterwards and DO NOT under any circumstances use this company.

This company is a scam. My story is similar to many of the other reviews. First, I was misled into believing I was talking to the hotel. Then I was charged a hotel fee of $68.71. I said I would discuss this fee when I got to the hotel. when I checked in at the hotel, they explained I had not been talking to them, that they had no such fee, and that I would have to resolve with the booking agent.
I called reservation desk, and they stuck to their story that this was a hotel fee. The hotel called them to explain there was no such fee, and they still stuck to their story that this was a hotel fee.
Does anyone have any information about the ownership and board members of reservationdesk.com? It appears the FTC has already been notified by some of you, and the company has not yet been shut down.

This is absolutely the worst company ever!!! Wish I had seen this review before booking. Was way over charged. Said it was because I booked days in advance and not the day of services. Duh, don’t you always book in advance especially if coming from out of town. And charged the day services are rendered. Would not refund. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY. Use this company at your own risk!!!! Will try to spread word to friends and employers of family and friends DO NOT USE. Make hotel companies look bad.

This site should be shut down as I booked a room for $57 and got a bill for $97. There was $8 in taxes, it was $32 in fees!. I was driving and they said they would send the reservation to my email & I couldn't open it till I hung up from the conversation with the reservationdesk.com employee. I opened the reservation and saw the $97 fee and immediately called back and asked to cancel due to misrepresentation of the charges as I would never have accepted those terms and they refused to do anything about my concern, so I disputed the charges with my credit card company and did not use the reservation.

This company is a major rip off. They represent themselves as the reservation desk of the hotel you are trying to call. They quote the same rates for rooms but significantly hike up taxes and fees far above set regulations. I suggest that you always call the hotel directly and not get that information off of a website. You could be taken for a ride especially with this company. I usually do not get fooled but this time I did. Please be aware of this deceiving advertising.

Wow, I get an email showing I have a reservation in Wyoming at a hotel i've never heard of. Of course, they spelled my name wrong, stated I made the booking with an American Express (which I don't have) and had a totally bogus phone number. Let me guess, I call and say I didn't make the booking, you ask for a real credit card number and try to rip me off. Shame on you morons, get a real job. Meanwhile, burn in hell.

This company is very bad. They misrepresented terms and I am a club member and you cant use the award points. I never got a call back from their management team as they promised and was billed for almost 50 % more in taxes and fees above the misquoted room rate. I also got a second charge on me credit card for an additional $7.00 plus service fee....never got a breakdown or explanation when I questioned them. They ran the card and basically told me to speak to the management team. What a run around and waste of time.
They use the Holiday Inn logo and pictures on their site and pose as the reservation desk. I got taken for my money and could not use any of my award points or get any award points credited.
I will never use them again. They are a scam and they know it.
They have a third world country as your call center and you cant get through unless you sit on hold for an hour or so. Please be careful using them.
I will never use them again and will tell everyone that I know never to use them. Should be investigated.

Booked at the wrong hotel for the wrong number of guests resulting in extra charges. Customer service never did pick up the phone after trying to wait it out for almost an hour. Very tricky deceptive service with incompetent agents

Reservation Desk is a “sham” owned by Priceline.com! They have the intentionally deceptive practice of getting their name first on Google under a hotel chain name so that the customer very often thinks they are speaking with the hotel reservation staff directly! Then it turns out that the customer does NOT get the hotel’s reward points and/or cancellation policy! We had this experience at a Wyndham in Virginia Beach recently!

I Was ripped off by them. When I booked my hotel room the man I talked to said I can ask the front desk about my aarp or aaa discount. He lied ! They will not reimburse me for the discount. The hotel said it was out of their hands it should have been handled by the person I booked with.

This site is definitely a scam. Just called my charge card company to stop payment on our reservation and to issue a new card. Don’t trust them a bit. Had to call Reservation Desk twice to get an email confirmation. When it finally came through, I tried printing a copy of the receipt. A message came up that said, “Oops, you got lost. This page doesn’t exist”. Finally called the hotel directly, which is difficult doing anymore, and was told no reservation existed for us. A very frustrating experience!!

I called holiday inn express in Tampa, arrived on the scheduled day only to find out that I did not have a reservation. Turns out that I had talked to reservation desk not holiday inn. Of course when I contacted reservation desk they told me there was nothing they could do because the hotel has a no return policy. This company has to be put out of business. They are not responsible for anything!

On this day I called needed to book a hotel and was searching for a hotel to book near the Minneapolis airport that had a free park and fly service. I did NOT want to go through a third party as I didn’t want any troubles. I called the number below the Super 8 ad that I presumed was the Super 8 reservation desk as it said reservation desk. I spoke with a gentleman on the phone with a thick accent. I assumed I had reached the Super 8 call center. He made me aware since it was two days of reservations a few days apart I would need to make two reservations. When on the phone with him I had asked him if there was a park and fly at this facility. He said he would have to check. He checked and said there was and that he would transfer me to the front desk when we were finished on the phone. At the end of the first transaction he did read that I was able to cancel within a 24-hour period and at the end of the second reservation he stated that it was non-refundable. I said I understood since it had what I needed. When we finished with the transaction I asked to be transferred to the front desk. He proceeded to give me a phone number and said I could call them. I called the number he gave me and inquired about the park and fly. She said it is a package that I would have to buy along with a room reservation. I told her I already made a room reservation. She looked and confirmed I had a reservation. She said I would have to buy the package in order to get the park and fly and that my car would be towed otherwise. At that time, I asked her then if I was able to cancel it and she said I could. She said she would go ahead and cancel my reservations (which in my head I thought that was great since they said I couldn’t cancel). I then verified with her that my Discover card would be reimbursed. She said I would have to call the place I made the reservations with. I said I made it through them. She corrected me and said I made it through a third party and that I would have to call them. She did not want to discuss it any further. I then looked back at where I was on the internet to make the reservations and right there under the add it said reservation desk and the phone number. I was still sure that I had made the reservation through Super 8. I called the number back and spoke with a gentleman on the phone. He said I cannot have a refund. We discussed this back and forth for a short time then I asked him since I could not have a refund could he replace my reservations. He said it still shows I have a reservation and there was nothing he could do. I called the Super 8 front desk number again. This time I spoke with a male. He really didn’t know what to do. He sounded like he was possibly in training. I asked that he please book my room again. He said he can’t without me paying for it again. I asked to speak with the woman I had just spoken to. I could hear her in the background saying that she didn’t want to speak with me and that he could handle my phone call. This call lasted quite a while because I was trying to explain the above information to him. He said the only way he can book another room with me is for me to pay for it. I again tried to explain to him that I already paid for it, I just wanted him to put my name back on those rooms. He would not do that. I ended the call with him and called the Reservation Desk back again. I informed him of the situation I was in that I have now paid double for the rooms and I don’t have a place to stay. He said his reservations state that I still have a room. But when I had confirmed this earlier with the front desk at the Super 8, I was informed that I do not have a room to stay in. He told me there was nothing he could do about it that he shows I still have reservations. I hung up crying as I felt I had nowhere else to turn. I then thought of calling Discover Card to see if I could have them stop payment. I spoke to a gentleman on the phone and he said I would have to wait until the charges that already came through to be posted. Since then I had to made other arrangements to get to the airport. I didn’t have a hotel to stay in, but still paid for it.

Worse than useless.
You should always book directly with the hotel/airline/car rental company. Read on to understand why.
There are some things to understand about reservationdesk.com:
They're a fourth-party booking company. So, when you book with them, you're basically paying someone to go to hotels.com (or some third-party company) and find a price for you. They book through the the third party company, and the third party company makes a reservation with the actual hotel chain.
This means two things:
1. They don't "own" your reservation. The reservation is made through the third party booking site, and any changes to the reservation have to be approved by that booking site. But, they won't tell you who that site is, so when you call to make a change, they'll put you on hold for five minutes or so while they "contact the provider," and then come back to tell you that whoever it was they needed to talk to, had left for the day, and you should call back tomorrow. Basically, they're second-generation don't-give-a-crap.
2. They are making a commission for clicking the same button that you could have clicked yourself. And, what value do they provide for this "service?" They create an additional barrier between you and your reservation. That's it. You are being charged for an inconvenience.
Speaking as one who has traveled for business for the better part of the last 30 years, I can tell you that the only people who are a bigger pain in the butt to hotels, airlines, and other travel companies than third party booking sites, are fourth-party sites. More often than not, the first parties (the hotel properties, airlines, etc.) end up with egg on their faces and dissatisfied customers, because of their contractual obligations to let the third party sites manage guests' reservations. So, when something goes wrong (and, believe me, things frequently go wrong), it's left to the first party to clean up the mess at their own expense, lest they get hit with a bad review for something that is entirely not their fault. Problems I've seen firsthand:
* A hotel's inability to change a reservation, because it's been locked down by the third party.
* Reservations going missing, because the third party forgot to send a fax (yes, a FAX) to the property.
* Third party not informing the guest of surcharges that they have to pay because of local tax laws, etc.
So, never, ever, **EVER** book through a third (or fourth) party booking agency. You might save a few bucks, but it's simply not worth the aggravation. ALWAYS book direct with the company. Most companies have price matching policies, so you might be able to get them to knock a few dollars off, if you can point to a third party price quote that's lower than what you're paying. In any case, when you book directly with the company, they have a lot more flexibility in how they can accommodate changes and exceptions. Also, you'll receive a confirmation code that's generated by the first party. That guarantees your reservation to a much greater degree than a string of digits generated by some third (or fourth) party company.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. This is the worst business. When I attempted to change the reservation date within the timeframe state on my confirmation, I was told that they could not change the date, but that they had to make a second reservation before they could cancel the first one. I've called their customer service department numerous times and I only get the runaround. The issue is still not resolved.
