Bought shoes from Red Valentino e store, one shoe developed a fault during 2nd wear. Emailed customer care twice, tweeted & finally phoned to try to get sorted. Store manager basically said it was my fault for wearing & that I need to either take them to their London shop or send them at my own expense. They would then send to Italy for at least 2 months to decide if the shoe is faulty. I have sent them photos, the shoe is clearly faulty. I have a pair of of shoes costing a lot,of money that I can’t wear and their so called customer care don’t care. Such a shame as the shoes are lovely, really appalling treatment of a customer.

As long as their website ran by net a porter I will never buy. Non existent customer service, guaranteed defective product and a headache to return. Will keep your customs fee.

I received a defective product. There is no phone to reach anyone. The e-mail came a day later that I can return. My question whether I will lose duties and taxes was never answered, even though I asked 3 times in 3 different e-mails. Each time, like they are stupid, answer was you can return within 20 days. So YES, you will lose hundreds of dollars in taxes and duties. They will only give you money back for the product.
The website is not run by Valentino, it's managed by net-a-porter. Which means one company provides product, another ships. The one that ships does not care. When you are buying in store you will examine every mm of that bag, dress or belt and make sure it's free of flaws. So whatever didn't sell in stores will be shipped to online customers with flaws and defects for you to deal with.
Don't shop from any website run by net-a-porter. This includes redvalentino.com, armaniexchange.com and others. You will not get what you wanted and will lose big money on taxes and duties.

Bougt a dress for euro 540 thinking: directly from high-end designer's own web-store will be without problems.
Receive faulty item and try to make contact through web-site on several different dates; turns out contact form doesn't "work" and there are no alternative ways to make contact; No e-mail adress and no telephone number to the company.
Don't really know if I dare return my faulty item; what to do if I don't get refunded?
So, so sad of the entire experience because my husband gave me this as a present and the fault on the dress is just so obvious; now it seems I need to tell my husband he has bought a faulty dress and I may return it not having any contact possibilities if the company chooses to not make a refund???
Realizing the last section is personal frustration... just please consider before shopping on this web-site.
Oh, and the funny thing is the part of their web-sire where you sign up for newsletter and let them know your details for marketing purposes.. that part works...
