Countless problems just getting the sim card to get up and running. I have actually been a customer for 5 years. I must love the abuse to remain a customer because they certainly do not appreciate your business.
I recently wanted to get a second line going for my wife. I paid for a plan and expedited shipping for the sim card. Once I received the sim card, I activated it with a new number, The new number assigned to me was not a local area code which is not acceptable. They tried changing the number, but that new number was the same area code as before. Not acceptable.
I went looking on the internet and found a place that sells phone numbers. I bought myself a local number and then asked to port that number in to Red Pocket. That is when I found out that I would need another new sim in order to port a number. I asked that this new sim be sent to me expedited as that is what I originally paid for. It was not my fault that Red Pocket did not have a local phone number for me.
After three days and the new sim not arriving, I asked via chat (which no longer seems to be available to me - I think they have blocked me) for the tracking number. Once I checked tracking, I discovered that it took them THIRTY hours just to print the shipping label. I also discovered that they were sending it first class mail, - NOT expedited as promised. The package was also still in pre-shipping not even making it to the post office yet. In the meantime, I continued to receive canned responses from various unhelpful chat reps. 5 days after requesting the replacement sim, it still showed to be in preshipping. At some point on this 5th day, someone at Red Pocket chose to send me another sim card. I guess the first replacement was lost? We don't know. At this point, we were offering to PAY for overnight shipping. They told me this was not available. I decided to ask for a refund of the plan and original shipping.
We then went back to their website and paid for a new plan and sim and paid $23 for overnight shipping. After 2 days of this new order not being touched and being unable to get resolution via online chat (the rep flat out refused to refund my money and I think she blocked me from online chat), I had to call in and speak to a supervisor to get my latest order refunded. The supervisor assured me that the second sim sent on day 5 was still in route. Finally, after EIGHT days the replacement sim card arrived and I got the phone working.
Now I am trying to port over another line to CDMAS service but I am getting an error code. Since chat appears to no longer be available to me and most phone reps are incompetent, I am hoping that Red Pocket will reply here and assist me with my latest problem. I must be a glutton for punishment.

I used red pocket mobile while travelling around the USA and it worked very well. Certain places had no reception, but all in all, I would definitely recommend.

Red pocket is horrible. I bought 4 sim cards and I paid for overnight shipping and it didn't come for 3 days and then they sent me the wrong sim cards. I called about it and then they told me that it would take 5 to 7 days for the replacement cards. Then I put in the sim card and somehow they managed to put in the wrong sim card number in their system and had to wait for them to again send out a replacement sim card which took another 5 to 7 days. Their customer service sucks, they like to talk over you when you are explaining the situation and then when you ask for a supervisor the supervisor doesn't help solve the issue because they don't even know what they are doing. They need people who are not foreigners because they don't even speak proper English. If I could give them 0 stars I would

I use Red Pocket for a spare phone. The GSM chip works very well in rural Georgia. And, the $60 a year = $5 a month for 100 min/texts + 500 mb/month is perfect for a backup (10 months, thus far). I use the spare for the car's Android Auto and have yet to go over (light user).

I went online to activate the GSMA SIM and port my number over. The port happened in less then an hour and it has worked great ever since.

My name is not Robin. It is Richard And I love Red Pocket Mobile and enjoy the service. I just wish our unused minutes, text and data would roll over from month to month. We should be able to keep what we pay for even if we do not use it. Just saying...

The absolute worst customer service, by far, I've ever dealt with. Unbelievable.
Yes, the price is great, but they have not been able to fix my on-line login for OVER A YEAR! I have to do a "chat" every single time I log on. Every time.
And they keep saying, "we're so sorry, we'll open up a ticket, we'll e-mail you when it's resolved...we promise...we promise..." Bull! Never, ever fixed it. Not even worth the money savings for this crap!
Stay away! Save yourself the aggravation!! Horrible!!!

We have had problems with the voice part. It will drop calls when sitting in 1place. And sometimes we will need to reestablish the Cel tower by putting the phone in airplane mode and back to voice.

Unlimited Text + Talk is something most other MVNO's don't give. Price point is a major factor. Why do people tolerate $50-90 bills for 1 line. WAKE UP PEOPLE, YOU ARE OVERPAYING FOR PHONE SERVICE.
For the past 45 days, Red pocket has been delivering better service with 1 more GB of data than my previous main provider. PLUS I'm SAVING $20 a month.

Don't do it!!! I have had the WORST customer service with this company. I ordered a plan for my son away at college. The website kept trying to load the billing address as the shipping address, so ultimately the sim card was sent to the wrong address. When I called, they sent a new card to my son to the right address but it wasn't loaded with the plan I purchased and I had no activation code. I called to have this remedied, waited 10 minutes to talk to a soul, finally got my call answered, was put on hold again only to be disconnected. When I called back, it took over an hour to finally tell me that they had an error in their system and I would have to call back tomorrow! You are kidding me!!!!!! So, I asked for a refund! That took a looooong time. They stink!!

Full services are not available with iPhone / iOS. Impossible to check voicemails without calling in (there is no notice of new voicemails).
Some calls were not going through. Friends would call number and it wouldn't show as a call came in (happened selectively).
In reply to Red Pocket: To be clear: If you’re using a GSM phone (i.e. AT&T or TMobile compatibility) and have an iPhone, you will not receive visual voicemail. This means you will not receive any indication of new voicemails without calling in.
Their promotional materials do not clearly disclose this, or that mobile hot spots will not work with the same iPhone/GSM combination. The promotional materials (advertising) to declare “mobile hot spot” compatibility. This was a requirement for my needs.
RedPocket would not refund my purchase although I requested a refund the day after discovering this and less the three weeks into the plan.
I don’t want anything more than what was promised. RedPocket did not deliver and would not accept any accountability for their misleading information.
