I sent my husband there to receive treatment, I was told the cost was going to be 8,000.it was an out of network facility with our insurance.
They took my credit info and then every week there was an appeal with our insurance company. The 3rd week they told me that the insurance had denied and that my husband had to leave. I spoke with our insurance company and the facility never put in an appeal. I spoke to Angela there who told me they would try for one.then i also called her back after speaking with the appeals department to tell her what they said to me and beg her to put in for the appeal and what she had to do for it to go through. She never called back. The next day I called again and tried to talk to her about it and she said she couldn't speak with me per my husband. I explained I just wanted to tell her about insurance. 2 hours later my husband was pulled out of group and sent packing because he wouldnt sign more paperwork stating he would be responsible for another 6000.
Bottom line is they should be there to help not be so worried about money!!! The insurance would have paid if they did their jobs!

I recently posted a review for Recovery Centers of American Danvers about my horrible experience I had there. Less than 24 hours later I received a call from a woman asking why I had put the review up. I told her it was obviously to let people know my experience and how unhappy I was with the place. She didn't care about anything else. She didn't ask about my well being and was actually kind of rude. She cut the conversation short because she had a "meeting" to attend and would call me back as soon as she could. I don't know why she would bother calling when she knew she had not a lot of time to talk or resolve anything. This was going on two weeks ago and no word back. I guess even though they have opened under new management it is still just about the money in their pockets rather than the care of the patients. Because of their negligence i have an almost $1700 ambulance bill that is in collections because of being sent out. I have insurance and that is all covered,
but I guess it is time to take my attonery's advice an persue action. Once again, extremely disappointed.

There is a serious lack of structure. At times it felt like barely organized chaos. However I am now sober and believe I will stay that way. The staff is very friendly and they honestly care about everyone.

My last visit was my second to RCA. It is an amazing program that an individual can get as much out of that they choose to. The RSS staff is excellent and caring and more so than not, run some great groups. A lot of my learning came from me peers through their shared experiences. My therapiast Michelle and my case worker Steve went above and beyond for me. My previous visit I had a different case worker and therapist who were the opposite and got little to nothing done for me. My case worker from detox actually located the sober house I am currently living in. Natalia is great and did me a big favor working with the owner of the house to hold a bed for me until I got out. The scheduling and meal preparation was great. Without RCA, I don't know where I would be today.

The whole RCA experience at Westminster was top notch. From the pickup, through the detox and rehabilitation, and into the transition back to life, the RCA staff were utmost professionals and provided the highest levels of care. The curriculum was perfect and the pace engaging. Thank you for what you do.

I am writing this review for Recovery Centers of America Danvers and to share my experience and to let others know what a horrible experience I had. It was probably one of the worse in my life. I went into this facility in hopes to ending my addiction to opiates and benzodiazipines. I had an extremely high habit with both and was prone to seizures due to my benzodiazpine habit. I was actually hospitalized for 3 days before entering the facility. The nurses and doctor were aware of this. Many of the nurses did not know what they were doing and were talking about their outside problems and bringing their problems into work with them which in turn affected their work performance. Some of the nurses where great, especially one male nurse who went to bat for me. After 2 days of being at the facility I was sent to Beverly Hospital due to having such high blood pressure and heart rate. After I was released from the hospital, I still did not feel right. I felt as though I was about to have another seizure, thankfully I didnt, but I was having the tremors and to be honest I was feeling really unsafe. I also had to deal with my roommate getting in trouble to giving a guy oral sex in my bathroom as they were smoking a cigarette. That made me really uncomfortable to have some random man in my room while I was sleeping and these individuals faced no consequences and were still allowed to stay there. There was more than one incident of sexual misconduct. I even witnessed and heard inappropriate conversations with patients and staff. My health continued to plumit as my stay went on. I found out later that a young man had died not even a month before I entered the facility. It took almost a week for the doctor to see me. The doctor was unprofessional and the only reason I was able to see him was because the male nurse fought with him for me to be seen. I told the doctor and nurse practioner I no longer felt safe staying in the facility. They sent me out AGAIN, this time to Mass General. I was told that they had set it all up so I would be able to be put on phenobarbital instead of the ativan protocol that RCA had me on that obviously was not working. When I got to Mass General, they had no knowledge of any of this. RCA Danvers made me feel unsafe and I watched several other patients leave to go to the hospital and be put in harms way. After leaving RCA I found out not even two weeks later there was a death of another man. That's two deaths in less than a year. The addict and the addicts family should have HOPE and feel safe that their loved one is getting help. I would never come back to this place and would never recommend this place to anyone. Apparently, they are under new management but the place was very unorganized and chaotic when I was there..maybe it has changed, maybe it hasn't... But I would never take the chance on going back there. Detox is there for you to get help, not for you to worry about your well being.

RCA Bracebridge Hall really changed my life and gave me a new perspective on life. I'm forever grateful for my experience there. I can't thank everybody enough for all their help. I wouldn't change a thing about how they run their program. All the staff is extremely helpful and really live the Recovery program. If you're considering going to Bracebridge, I would recommend it and tell you that you won't regret the decision at all. Take your life serious and they will too. RCA is the first step to changing your life forever.

RCA is second to none in regards to early recovery. The staff, therapists, and case workers all do their best to work with you to understand your individual need and show professionalism and empathy along the way. The facilities are beautiful, food is great, and they do their best to set you off on the right foot in your recovery.

I came to RCA with a severe addiction to opiates and alcohol. My experience at Brace Bridge was so outstanding. All the staff there were so heart felt to me. They really care for you and your recovery. They create a community that you want to be part of. All the tools are there for anyone who is serious about their recovery. I left there with a solid plan to stay sober and an a drive to live clean. I highly recommend this place for anyone suffering with addiction. Forever a part of my heart.

RCA was an incredible establishment! From the care, facilities, staff, food, and the activities/groups provided I never had a single complaint!! I was extremely pleased with the Westminster, MA campus. So much so that when I had to leave cause my insurance abruptly stopped/cut-off my coverage, I was extremely upset and didn't want to leave the new connections I had made in recovery, nor did I want to say goodbye to the amazing staff I met and got to know through-out my time spent there. Hopefully I never have to go back, but I would really like to come visit some of the employees that were so helpful in my recovery. If that's possible please let me know :).

My time spent at RCA allowed me to focus on ME, my health and healing. The facility is impeccable, the meals are top-notch and the staff is professional, relatable and clearly love what they do. The skills I've gained through RCA's program are indispensable. If you are struggling with addiction, this is the place to get well.

Everything was great until the day I had to leave. I felt very rushed to leave which made my anxiety of all of it so much worse.

A very comfortable environment at RCA Westminster helped me to focus on the excellent program offered there. The staff were attentive and very helpful, and the mix of 12 Step and DBT sessions helped me immensely on my road to recovery.

RCA of Devon was fantastic and highly recommend this facility to anyone. Their layout and structure is set up to keep you at ease, help relieve anxiety, and focus on your recovery. As far as I am concerned RCA of Devon should be the role model for all other rehab facilities.

Having been through Westminster several times this year, I dislike how the rules have tightened. Can't leave the floor without an RSS escort, despite all the cameras? That pretty much killed my morning exercise routine (up at 5, on the machines for 2 hours). And any hope of some outside "walking meditation".
And locking the laundry room. Really? If someone used it for a tryst, why not take the door off instead?
Food remains great, but now the residential unit has to be herded all at once. Same with smoke breaks. Everyone has to line up and march together.

The staff do not care about you, clients smoke pills, sniff drugs, cheek meds, deal pills, have sex (often), and staff make things up to deny all that.

The facility is beautiful and most of the staff is wonderful and extremely helpful. The only problem is multiply clients were easily able to bring drugs into treatment. They put other people's soberity at risk.

RCA has literally saved my life. When I found out my 17 year old was addicted to drugs I was lost and scarred. RCA gave my son the help he needed but more importantly gave me the help, support and education I needed. It has been 2.5 yrs and I still go to RCA once a week to attend their family group meeting to give back the support they so freely given me.

RCA was amazing and gave me a second chance at a clean life. I would recommend them to anyone who is having trouble with substance abuse issues. The facility is top notch and the staff are amazing. There is literally nothing I can complain about when it comes to RCA.
