This company is a total fraud, I rented a car in June at Palma airport. After returning the car in perfect condition I was informed it would take up to 30 days to return my deposit of €1,100. The 30 days came and went at which point I started emailing them requesting an update and the return of my monies. At the end of September they finally emailed back saying they were returning the full deposit. It’s now the 31st Oct and the money has still not been returned. Another round of emails and they’re now informing me it might take another 30 days. Avoid like the absolute plague!!!!

I reserved and paid in advance so there was no problems with pickup. Reserved money for fuel was returned in less than a week.

ExpressLine = SLOW Line, hard to understand. Provides the wrong car, takes about 1hr to change at the counter. Bye bye express.
Ordered and payed for SUV-automatic, machine gave Caddy-manual.
Finally after 1hr waiting and talking, I left in a SUV-manual. For automatic I had to come back the next day, which wasn't an option considering time and distance.

I regularly use Record in Mallorca. the online booking process is easy and pick up is usually trouble-free - I pay extra for express service and full insurance just to make sure it's as quick as it can be. But the drop off is really terrible. You have to park in the correct place and there are never any free spaces, so queues quickly build up. You then have to wait for someone to check your vehicle, even if you've paid for full insurance and express service. And the staff dealing with the check in will make you wait, ignore you and generally be extremely rude. It's such a bad experience you may never want to rent a car again.
An update: Record are also refusing to refund the fuel deposit because the car was mistakenly checked in as being returned empty, despite me filling it up just before the return.
Further update: Record have now refunded the fuel after I provided evidence that I refilled the car shortly before arriving at the airport and a history of rentals from Record over more than 3 years where I have consistently returned cars full. Thank you Record for doing the right thing, my rating goes up one star. But my comments re: drop off still stand; the staff dealing with drop offs are so rude and the waits are far too long when you are trying to catch a flight and make no allowance for having paid extra for express service.

The car was upgraded and fine, but I was not told in advance how much I truly had to pay including deposits in spite of having opted for the full insurance. In spite of having given my flight number and informed that my flight was delayed 2 hours, when I arrived some 20 minutes after 23 I was charged a late arrival fee of €40 in spite of the office being full of staff and customers. I was also charged a €100 deposit for fuel which was to be refunded when I returned. In spite of returning with a full tank (actually more than when I picked the car up), the full amount was not refunded nor was I informed that any fuel or other charges was made.

I always use Record Go when in Spain. Great prices and service. I book online and so it only takes minutes to collect the car once at the airport. Had a few up grades over the years with no extra costs. Wouldn’t use any other company than Record Go.

We were completely conned and ripped off. They made Us pay a second insurance, pay for the fuel up front ( not yet refunded) And a E95 cleaning charge on return - a nightmare experience- avoid like the plague.

BEWARE. I posted a review about my terrible experiences with them in Sept 2019. Having read a few more reviews it is now apparant that they a running a con at Malaga airport, on returning the car they are routinely finding the same "scratches" in the plastic panelling underneath the front of the cars and charging around 400euros for repairs. You cannot even see them on collection, as the cars are in semi darkness in the underground car park. BEWARE

Poor rush time management, resulting in long lines. Hidden costs, which in the end was not a big deal, but took to much time explaining. First Customer service rep was quite rude. Car was fine. Drop off was confusing again due to poor customer service on the front side.

A really smooth collection process at Palma airport, booked direct on the Record go website so had the fast track collection which worked seamlessly. The car was exactly as booked, a Qashqai, but beware it was broken in to (without damage) as had keyless entry so watch out but you can't fault the hire company for that.
