Thought this company were decent at first. Bought £250 of crypto with no problems. Later tried to buy more. The entire transaction completed, Ramp took the £1,400 payment from my bank, messages on-screen saying something like "All done, your Bitcoin will be delivered soon!" But it wasn't delivered.
When I complained about this they started demanding that I immediately send a bunch of documents. Remember this company boast of having "smart" and "invisible" KYC procedures. If they're so smart surely they should know that if documents are so desperately required they should be requested BEFORE taking £1,400 from a customer?
What annoys me the most is the way Ramp are blaming ME for the failure of their "smart" KYC. They have banned me from even buying small amounts such as my initial purchase. Basically being treated like a criminal because I dared to ask for a refund. Well I wouldn't have needed to if you had given any warning before accepting £1,400 payment. Don't agree trades if you're not going to send the goods!
Ramp's explanation was that my bank was incompatible with their smart KYC system. My bank is not obscure - it is a well-known high street bank in the UK. I had absolutely no idea that it would be incompatible. Yet I'm being blamed anyway.
I have given 2 stars instead of 1 since they did refund the payment. But banning customers when the company's system fails is not a good look.
