No matter the issue I have with Rakuten, my experience is and has been a pleasant one. The Rakuten Team has resolved my issue and or issues in less than 24 hours. Tell your friends and have them tell their friends this way you all have extra money, and who doesn't like extra money? Rakuten Team you ROCK!

I was in process of creating an order to be place with Macy's. Before I sent the order I remembered that Rakuten offered cash back when I purchase from Macy's. I stopped, I went into my Rakuten account and re-created the order so I'd get the cash back benefit. Much to my surprise the cost through Rakuten was more! The cost was higher than it was directly through Macy's. The price difference was just about what my "cash back reward" was going to pay me for shopping Macy's through Rakuten. I felt very much taken advantage of and have since unsubscribed. Buyer beware.

My daughter and I love Rakuten. I mean, who doesn't love getting cash back on purchases. I have had a couple hiccup, when money wasn't added. But they had fixed it immediately! They have excellent customer service too. In these hard times right now. I look forward to that extra cash to take the kids out for ice cream or fill up my tank of gas, completely, instead of half way, which is what I can afford down days. Sounds silly, but every little bit does help in my household. And I am so very glad this is an site that is as real as it says.

I reached out because I noticed I didn't receive my last big fat check. Susan was great because she also reviewed my account and found other expired checks. She worked quickly to resolve and communicate.

Scam. Every transaction stays listed as "pending" for months (way past the "up to 6 weeks" they claim). They NEVER confirm transactions even though they track them and they're listed right there in my account, until I repeatedly email them. And then they demand an absurd about of documentation to prove the purchases, even though they're tracking everything!
They just hope you don't notice they aren't paying you, and that if you do notice, you won't waste your time proving you made the purchases they already tracked with their spyware.
Also, you will get a worse price on many sites like Agoda if you use Rakuten, so there's absolutely no point dealing with their lies and tricks.

I have only good things to say. I am going to give four pieces of advice. 1. Screenshot your Rakuten shopping trip number after the order is placed if you have a browser button. 2. Activate Rakuten often. As browsing then getting to the checkout then going back into the website after changing your mind about products in the cart can de-activate. Maybe you thought you activated and it was actually a half hour before checkout and the wait de-activated and the "bag" or "cart" closed on the website. 3. Contact Rakuten about everything. They have a great customer support team. If you activated your button or went through their website the store may still give cashback even if the order was placed without the shopping trip being activated the last time the website is visited that day. If an order is cancelled, it's probably a good idea to tell customer service. I had an issue at checkout where Rakuten wasn't working properly. Somehow Shop Pay was automatically activating and asked for a code. I ignored the code request which disabled the checkout experience. The customer service team walked me through the issue. The Shop Pay issue discovery happened when I kept getting questions from Rakuten. 4. Pay attention to double cash back days and 10% cashback days. Double days and 10% or more adds up quickly. My only complaint is Rakuten could give more information on how to find and record the shopping trip number. It has taken me a while, but I'm pretty quick to screenshot the order number/placement page with the Rakuten information. I am grateful for Rakuten. They have a kind, respectful team. I am making certain I am the same towards them. I hope they don't have any complaints against me. laugh slightly out loud

Terrible customer service with Rakuten. Site will not direct me to any stores website and at first I thought it was my computer blocking it, however, tried on 4 different devices and does the same thing. Have contacted Rakuten customer service 3 times with no resolution. My account is also locked but after three days of trying to actually talk to a human I give up. They lost a loyal customer.

It was so good and soooo easy to signup, pick the company I want to purchase from, click the button, continue shopping to finally receive my cashback reward.
When I had questions Rhiannon helped me out, responded super quick and answered all my questions!

Rakuten has been great for my shopping needs! I get what I'm looking for from the stores I shop at, and I get cash back for my purchases. I recently had to contact their support team, and they were so very helpful! I've seen some of the bad reviews, but I can honestly say that I've never had any issues with Rakuten. I would highly recommend them!

As I posted in my other review, I was really hoping to update this because the way things went were not good. Since nothing was explained, I'm deciding that it was a simple error & mistakes happen so it's forgiven..The message today said my order was approved & account credited. I seriously don't like putting out such bad reviews but I will always tell the truth & am glad whatever the reason this was resolved therefore providing the company a better rating with my update to the consumer.

I ;have been using rakuten from a long time. it is easy to use and the rewards transferred to my american rewards is simply awesome. the offers keep coming and the option to get points while doing instore shopping is really nice. and getting points while ordering food from grubhub etc is another plus.

Huge disappointment. Rakuten tempt everyone with their referral programs, but all that is a bad joke. I referred my wife and they have revoked the bonuses and blocked the accounts stating that they were made by same person. I can understand that they need to protect themselves from multiaccounts frauds. Problem is that they did not even gave me a chance to prove that account was made by my wife and customer service was completely ignorant and unpleasant. On top of that they gave a point from terms and conditions that they can remove the bonus at anytime for any reason or no reason!!! This is just ridiculous. Do not use the service just to spare yourself nerves and dissapintment.

Don't bother using Rakuten, the customer service sucks. I helped my mother order a book and I helped her make an account since she isn't tech savvy. Rakuten detected it and thought that its me making duplicate accounts (why would I make duplicate accounts... There's no sense in doing that right) and they closed both mine and my mother's account. With that, a pleasant experience turned into disappointment. Their customer service doesn't listen to reason at all...
