I booked a train ticket Albufeira- Lisbon through this scam company. They sent me my ticket and I saw that it cost 21€ when they charged me 47€ without cost specification on the order. The service charge 26€ for what? They wrote a bunch of emails after I complained explaining / justifying their robbery policy as legal and of course, I am an idiot. Stay away from them! Only bad reviews about them everywhere.

I was encouraged at first when we booked a trip for travel within Spain for next month. With the spread of the COVID-19 virus and the ensuing travel restrictions imposed in the country, we have been trying to cancel our reservations and sought a refund. Rail Ninja, however, has refused to waive its non-cancellation policy for the fares we purchased, notwithstanding the extraordinary and unprecedented circumstances. Seems unreasonable and not a good business practice, especially considering I’m giving practically four weeks notice.

Do not book with Rail Ninja!

Your booking is not a ticket, although Rail Ninja confirms the booking as if there is no doubt that you will obtain a ticket. Instead, Rail Ninja then tries to acquire the ticket in the market. In my case, this process took weeks only for them to then tell me, that the prices had increased and asking for an additional payment. I asked for a reimbursement, which is still pending, and had to acquire myself replacement transportation at way higher prices (because, remember, I had to wait for weeks!).

Absolutely inacceptable and never again!

I have experienced really bad treatment from rail.ninja.

I booked a ticket for my dad with them .
I booked for a premium class and flexible ticket for my dad from paris airport to Brussels.
I first of all after paying waited sometime before they issued the ticket. I had to ask them where the tickets were before they could arrive.

Furthermore When my dad got to Paris and tried adjust his train ticket , and times as he needed to do another things urgently . They told him his ticket is unchangeable and not flexible and cannot do anything about it .

I tried calling some +34 number rail ninja provided on my initial receipt to no avail. I tried their chat bot , it wasn't working .
I sent and email talking of its urgency to no avail.


We had to book a new ticket at the train station after spending €119 with rail ninja already and they telling me of policies of non refund .

How would I have known prior that they made the ticket non flexible ?
And now they are saying the train station must provide that denial after my dad has left Paris.

There is something that doesn't even add up when it comes to them when you have a support team that cannot be called . And only responding to people when time has lapsed, via emails.

Their argument now is about their policies.
How would I have known that you put a non flexible ticket which will cause me issues on the day of travel. The reason a person would put that flexibility is because their schedule can change .


I would NOT advice anyone to use this site for ticket purchase . It will say one thing and in reality it's something else . My dad tried showing the ticketing office that it's flexible and they said no sir this what was booked.

I will find other forums to make sure this doesn't happen to other people.

They book everything manually but will send out a "confirmation" email even though they didn't book anything for you yet.

We thought we were paying 138,000 Korean Won for a trip Seoul to Gyeongju. We paid in Australian dollars about 33% more than that for what they described as "taxes, service fees and customer support services". You have got to wonder what customer support services they provide to justify that sort of mark up. Their representation was clearly misleading, but they probably covered themselves by including all the extra stuff in the fine print.
