I ordered a pair of shoes for the first (and last) time from Payless.com on February 19th. I was not given any shipping options, just some flat rate ($7). Tracking number says Fed Ex which is usually pretty reliable, but I found out today that it SAYS FedEx, but it is really turned over to the US Post office, and even in Feb 2021 mail is still slow... VERY slow and my lousy little pair of shoes, coming from Kentucky to Maryland are now stuck in West Virginia. Just sitting there, for a couple of days already. I could have gone to Kentucky myself and gotten them here quicker. I highly recommend NOT ordering from Payless if you don't have the option of better shipping service. Of course several of their (cough) customer service people tell me it is out of their hands and I should just sit and wait here. That was their answer. NOT very helpful. Just warning you.

We bought a couple pairs of shoes for my Daughter. We went big on their sizing chart thinking that they would be big and she could grew into them. Well. That sizing chart it wrong. The Shoes are too small. And worse, Payless makes you pay to ship them back for a return. This is an effect 40% refund once you take into the cost of shipping. This is unacceptable customer service. DO NOT BUY SHOES from them. There are so many other stores that offer free returns that Payless is paymore in the long run.

It all started with me accidentally putting a typo in my address. I emailed them RIGHT AWAY (since these people dont believe in helping customers over the telephone) and explained the situation. Their response was they ship out orders ASAP so they cannot make changes to orders that happen on payless website.
Fast forward a few emails later (this was over probably a week because they take hours to respond) they tell me I have to ask UPS to change address. So I did and UPS tell me they cant do so UNLESS payless confirms address change before hand (SERIOUSLY?!)
So I wrote payless another email explaining that to them... their response THE SAME AUTOMATED BULLCRAP EMAIL AS BEFORE. They are unable to change address on website orders blah blah blah. At this point I'm done so i gave them a little piece of my mind.
The address mysteriously changed on the UPS website and is now correct after I did that. So fast forward to 2 days later (when I get the shoes). I open the box, excited because the shoes were finally a nice pair of velcro shoes for my 2 year old boy... THEY SENT ME THE WRONG DAM SHOES! NOT EVEN MY SIZE TO TOP OT OFF...
PAYLESS IF YOU ARE READING THIS YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS ASS! ITS ALSO 2020, IF YOU DIDNT KNOW... GET A DAM TELEPHONE YOU BUNCH OF DAM COMMUNISTS! (not mad... just really wanted those shoes and to be done dealing with these people lol)
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

Very bad...In sale they just sell default pieces. And not even exchange that. Their employees are rude. They do not know how to speak with customers.

They are no loner honoring gift cards. They still have locations open and products are still being shipped in but they will not honor gift cards. No where did they announce this? This is stealing. They deserve to go out of business. Don't waste your money on their products.

They will not treat Debit Card purchases as cash. They will only do returns on the card you used. This makes sense for CREDIT CARD purchases but every other company I have ever known in my entire life will give you cash back on DEBIT card purchases. It then takes 2 weeks for the money to be credited to your debit card or bank account. This policy is absolutely ridiculous and it takes advantage of customers. I will never shop at Payless Shoes again.

This site has shoes in my size that I don't find in their stores. But there was a Payless Shoesource that was right at the entrance to a mall that I go to so sometimes I would go in there to see what they have available. Obviously their shoes are not name brands and not the quality of more expensive shoes but I may buy the shoes if I know I would only wear them a few times then give them away. Some are actually quite comfortable. Last month (June) I ordered a pair of pumps online, because they didn't have the color I wanted in the store. I wanted them shipped to the store so I don't have to pay for shipping. I wait one week, then two weeks, no notification my shoes have arrived at the store. I forgot about them and then two weeks later I realized I still have not received notification they arrived. So I log on to their online tracking and all I see is they are still in transit. There was a note sometimes shoes are shipped from other areas so it may take longer. I was fed up and called customer service, it's been nearly one month and I still don't have my shoes. I didn't even want them now. The guy asked if I have tracked on line and I told him what I see on there. He then puts in on hold twice, and finally came back and said the shoes are out of stock. Well they are out of stock probably because it took so long that someone else ordered them and they got my shoes. He said I would get a full refund I'd better get a full refund. This website is useless, no coordination with their shipping department and no one contacts you to let you know the shoes are no longer available. Think twice before ordering online.

Website is beyond annoying. Please get it together. Bought shoes yesterday and it took me 5 trys to get the order to go past the address information. The coupons didn't work even though it was sent to my email. It's always a big hassle every time I shop online. I would rather go into store but of course there size 12 and 13 are a choice between 3 or 4 shoes. You have no idea how many women I see shopping in those sizes and complaining that they have no choices or how ugly they are. Last thing we want are non slip clogs. Shoes are cheap but work. There boots last a really long time though. Fix the website, have more of a selection for extended sizes online and in store. Bet you'll see sales go up.

I really like these sandals. They are a classic and simple design and seem very well made. They are comfy enough to wear all day, right out of the box.

They send out great discounts by email which gets you to the store but in that discount are exclusions which are in small print that until you get to the store they say no discount. Very frustrating - why can't they offer at least 10per cent off for all your efforts.

I've been to payless stores many times.
It's budget friendly and lots of different styles. On the down side, they don't have my size very often. I wear
lady's 5, or youth girl size 3! But in the goid side you can order it from the store and puck them up!

reading the reviews it is obvious the good rateings are paid postings as they appear in other companies reviews the same by the same name. Yes payless shoe co. is out of business in chapter 11 before chapter 7 bankruptcy. i.e. tried to order 2 pair of boots online, they showed 8 styles but all 8 where OUT OF STOCK, in all sizes.

Payless online site is ridiculous! Not user friendly at all, does not tell you when the order actually goes through so hitting enter more the once, charges your Credit Card multiple times. then when you call customer service, they are not help at all and only tell you that the holds will last for 4 days and to call back if all the charges hit. REALLY???? what scam they have going - even though their site tells you to call immediately to cancel or adjust the order once its placed if you need to change or cancel, they DO NOT HONOR or HELP you. WORST SITE EVER and 1 star isn't even worth it for this online site

I have been attempting to communicate with Customer Service for many weeks. In a previous email to them I responded to Tiffani's reply in which she requested my address in order to send me a $20 coupon and a letter of apology.
However, I have yet to receive a reply from anyone at Customer Service.
This company is very poorly run by W. Paul Jones. Does he even care about customers???
I had a terrible experience at: Payless, Queen Street + Airport Road, Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

Went to return a bottle of shoe cleaner that I had purchased a day ago... First off, I walked in the store with the item and the receipt . When I walked in the store the 3 women in the store started to whisper In the corner to themselves which I thought was rude to begin with because one of them stared right at me after they were finished whispering . Then finally the girl that stared at me asked me if I needed any help and I said yes I would like to make a return . The other woman started to do my return and asked me am I doing a return I then said yes again.. I would like to make a return because I already have this bottle of shoe cleaner . The woman said OK... then was like where is your receipt which was right in front of her face ... her attitude made me think that she had a problem with doing my return to begin with whether I had the receipt or not . The previous day when I did purchase the shoe cleaner when I came up to the checkout counter she was like is this all rolling her eyes which ,I didn't understand why that was any of her business if that was the only item that I wanted to purchase . The people that work their just have to much attitude . This was the Payless in the citadel mall in Colorado Springs ,Colorado .

I was a regular online payless buyer, but the last time they completely messed up my order. I got an email form customer service that my order was cancelled, so I placed a fresh order. A few days later they shipped my original order and my new order both. I was really pissed off as it I had ordered the same stuff again.
I wrote to customer service about it and no acknowledgement or anything of any sort.....
Very very poor coordination among themselves and poor customer has to pay the price

I love Payless because they always have cute, trendy shoes for a great deal, especially if you wait for their sales. [Bogo sale in particular]
Most of the shoes I have are from Payless because I can get the same type of trendy shoe from Payless for a fraction of the price compared to if I were to buy it from the brand name. Although they may not be the same quality, the price you cant beat. They do have some brand names, however, most of their shoes are the same style but not the brand name. For example, they carry shoes that look just like Toms but are not nearly as expensive and just as cute.
It should be noted though that their winter Ugg like boots arent that good. Theyre somewhat thin looking and dont seem like theyd keep you warm since the boot isnt as fluffy inside as some boots.
Their sandals and shoes are pretty nice though and the ones I have from Payless have lasted me quite a long time. [many I still wear to this day]
Nonetheless, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for cute shoes at a good price. Just don't expect super high quality shoes from here.

to be honest, i've been wearing payless shoes since i was a kid and had no bad experiences. Now that i live in the Caribbean and there are few Payless locations and not a wide variety, I opted to shop online. Funny enough, the site does not accept non U.S. paypal/non U.S. issued credit cards. So my next option was to buy a store merchandise credit from eBay, and as such I would be able to check out. I was contemplating between two sizes and by the next morning all the prices changed and my store credit was not sufficient to cover my order. Calling customer service is a complete and total waste, the rep had the audacity to tell me that he just got into work and was unsure of the promotions they were having and he would not be able to honor the prices from the day before for me. additionally, I've heard that if you order multiple pairs, they come in separate orders depending on where they are available from. WHY????? truly appalling. especially for customers who live outside of the U.S. I just don't see what the point of the website is to be very honest.

I remember when PayLess was my go-to for low-priced, fashionable shoes. Not anymore. Their low prices are low compared to competitors. The competitors stepped up their game and makes PayLess look like an overpriced garage sale.
