The website brings up parts unintended for your make/model, and you must pay for return shipping when you receive the parts that don't fit. But they blame it on you for not checking part numbers for your car. Also, they charge you a 15% restocking fee on top of that. The small amount I did get returned to me took over a month. First and last time ordering from this company. Thumbs down.

They give an address that Canpar can't find. So I got stuck for shipping cost, return to sender fee and a part that still doesn't fit my vehicle. You can't talk to a human being. All you get is emails about their return policy. Do yourself a favor... SHOP ELSEWHERE!

Even though the part catalogue is very wide its customer service sucks. I had the incorrect part shipped out - which I returned immediately - and it took over a month for their finance department to refund me. This incurred of course on interesr in my credit card - which I had to deal with since neither customer service nor finance cared about. I had to insisit several times to avoid being ripped off, they didnt want to refund me. If you have the chance to buy on this store.

Placed an order, waited two weeks then received an email stating they required an additional $75 to ship my order that was already supposed to be "free shipping"! Was all light products and was only a $145 order. Ridiculous!
Tried to resolve but they had no answer or solution. Paypal trying to get my money back now.

Spoke with Peter and Ted, Ordered a part on Friday and cancelled it on Saturday, less than 24hrs.
They shipped it on Monday, I spoke with Amex and forward them the live chat. I even asked Peter for the head office phone #, His reply that the phones are not working to covid-19. Amex will now deal with this company to get my money back. I asked Peter if the executives had to communicate by email or live chat. Sounds like that covid-19 has now infected the phone lines at PartsAvatar.

I made an order and they shipped open products and not sealed. The customer support, Paul, hanged up on me. They asked me to return the parts and pay for shipping for something they did wrong. This is a joke!

We ordered parts for our truck but got the wrong parts. When trying to get a return label, we were denied. The online help first said that it is not their fault, then through email I got the same response. Terrible company, awful customer service and difficult return policy.

They do not have a phone number on their site. I had to google their company to find a phone number. I asked the CHAT person NICK for a phone number - he would not furnish one and said they are having technical difficulties and it is not working. Seriously? I called the google number and got through only to leave a message.
Once an order is placed you cannot cancel it. I cancelled it by email in less than 24 hours from placing the order.
They could not or would not confirm the items were in stock. They could not give me a day they would ship and blamed COVID for everything. Very sad to see this type of poor customer service. Vulture bottom feeder mentality group.

I tried too return parts (front control arms)that did not fit my 2005 jeep grand Cherokee 4.7L v8 SUV. I had too scramble too part source and pay more because mechanic had truck on the hoist and avatar parts didn't fit.Not a big deal, however when l tried to return them for a refund they screwed me with a restocking charge and $22 for Canada post... Great customer service $#*!s

Despite filling out the correct vehicle and model info, the brake rotors provided did not fit. After about 10 e-mails on the subject they finally agreed to send me a shipping label and grant the refund. Returned the package in June, still no refund in late August. I've been e-mailing them weekly for an update and they've finally stopped responding altogether. I've legit been scammed by this company. Figured I'd buy local and support a Canadian company but I got burned on this one. Avoid at all costs.

This company is very bad at answering any issues they have EXCEPT fpr saying "We will get back to you soon". I have now been dealing with them since early June trying to get parts which I finally was able to return (no clear method online) and now they have not got me my money back except to say "We are working on it" DO NOT BUY FROM THEM UNLESS YOU ARE SURE THE PART FITS!

This company needs to be shut down. I am 10 days into an order for spark plugs and can't get a truthful answer to my order status inquiry. For one full week they have replied that my inquiry has been escalated and they will be responding. No response have ever been received. They say the same BS on each and every inquiry. I tried to cancel my order last week and they refused saying that it had been processed but still can't provide shipping information. At this time when we are all struggling to cope with Covid pandemic, and do some of our own vehicle maintenance, this company seems to go out of their way to cheat you. I have NOT been able to receive any actual feedback to my order inquiries. Read all real online reviews for this place and buyer beware! Do yourself a huge favour and shop elsewhere.

Parts shipped weeks apart, but ordered at the same time on the same invoice. Ordered on April 29,first parts arrived May 5, last part arrived May 19 (14 days after the other parts arrived) I had time to return window regulator from the same order. No clear answers as to why but they did blame Canada Post. I am sure they where out of the part waiting for it to send out but instead they blamed Canada Post, problem was Parts Avatar not being honest). Contact them after 2 weeks, "It will be shipped not sure when", would not let me cancel the unshipped part, so I had to wait another 2 week for it to arrive.
Sent a part back as it was not compatible with my window regulator motor, (but should have been) 15 days after they received it still not refund. (I tracked with Canada Post which I had to pay for.
Mailed on May 8 It arrived on May 19 at their return center, it's now June 4 no refund yet)
DO NOT ORDER FROM PARTSAVATAR, the customer service is appalling.

Ordered parts on June 5th and received half order on June 15th. I ordered other parts from Rockauto and received everything on June 9th from New York to BC in four days over a weekend. It is now June 17th and the critical parts haven't been shipped yet. Phones don't work and emails get automated responses. Can't cancel order because they lie and say the order was shipped. When 'live chatting' you get the impression that the "Peter" that you're chatting with is in a shack in India and really knows nothing but what they're told to say. When all else fails blame everything on the Corona virus. They even blamed the phone's technical difficulties on the virus. I'm retired and desperately need my car. They don't give a $#*! about anyone. Worst company I've ever dealt with. The CEO belongs in prison. I hope they go bankrupt, but I'm sure they are crooked enough to take the government Corona virus handout.

Purchased rear calipers, they arrived fast, but returning is being a nightmare. On their site, it's specified 10 business days. I reached out after they had passed and was told that due to covid it would be 20 days. Yesterday 20 days passed as well. In chat, they kicked me to return department where I assume bots are answering. They requested me to wait and co-operate with them without any clear dates!!! After the question how long it's gonna take, their response was uselessly the same.
I should have done proper research before giving them my money. If you read this review, please avoid this shop like the plague. You'll be waiting for ages if something happens, customer service is impolite and absolutely useless.

Order was split, parts coming from Ontario location sat in their warehouse for 4 days then sat in Purolator warehouse in Toronto for a additional 6 days. WEB site states that items are shipped within 48 hours. Requested a RMA to return item as could not leave clients car sitting that long waiting for a $3.00 part. Return refused stating that they had not made any errors. Can't charge client for these parts that PartsAvtar sat on so I have to bit the bullet on them. Won't be dealing with them in the future, either local suppliers or Rock Auto in the US.

I ordered brake rotors. Then nothing happened. I chased this up a few days later, they said all is fine the order is being processed. 5 days later still nothing, Chased them again and informed item had been posted. 7days later item was actually shipped. So I was flat out lied to on two occasions. They Can't be trusted. Parts are cheap, most are junk. Pay more and go somewhere local. I went to ford in the end, I'd rather pay more than be lied to. Also on a previous order the transmission gasket leaked on day one.. Replaced gasket from Ford, no leak now. Had to buy the transmission fluid twice and do the job twice. Trying for refund.. no luck yet.

Ok first off I purchased cv axles off Parts Avatar there site sucks. So I went and purchased both cv axles the site never said out of stock get to that later. Anyways I kept waiting and waiting gave an extra week thinking covid-19 that wasnt the case I was getting my packages from usa faster than Canada and the sites is in Canada Pathetic. They dont care about consumers.

I have ordered parts in the past from many sources and I choose depending on availability and price. This is the worst experience ever. My issue is clear cut and should take a few minutes to refund.
I ordered oil filter, copper washers and spark plugs that were supposed to be in stock. Only 2 of 8 spark plugs were delivered. Packing lists confirmed only 2 shipped. One packing list was from the actual company supplying the spark plugs. So I called them, VAST AUTO in Quebec, and agent told me they were out of stock and none on back order so probably will not be restocked. So I bought the 6 spark plugs that I needed locally.
I found a phone number online and called but could only leave a message with no call back 4 days later. So I went with he online chat option. "Danny" said the full order shipped so he made me send pics of the packing lists showing the missing spark plugs. Then he said someone would contact me.
After no word for 4 days, I went back to the online chat and asked for my refund. Again I was told that it was going to be processed but no timeline given. I asked for a phone number to speak with a human in Canada immediately. He told me the phone wasn't working because of COVID. The same lie given to other customers who reviewed on this site.
I think this is a fly by night company with virtually no infrastructure. I suspect they are mostly an order filling site who just resells and that's why they can't tell other customers where their orders are. at any given moment. They obviously don't have an adequate customer service department. I'm convinced that the online chat is manned by an offshore boiler room call centre. I got an email from "Danny" at 4 am so I'm assuming India. The lack of telephone contact is very sketchy. I suspect most positive reviews are bots or paid for reviews.
I have escalated my refund request to PAYPAL. It should resolve but I wish I found the real reviews at SITEJABBER and saved myself all the time and headache.

Parts Avatar has been a negative and frustrating experience specifically with the Brampton location.Customer service sucks, can never speak to anyone on the phone and 'Live Chat' is even more frustrating. In hindsight the throttle body I ordered arrived a week late which in itself was not a big issue. The part was exactly as I ordered (reason they get 1 star). There was a core charge which is supposed to be refunded when returned. I sent the core in but never received my refund. I share the same sentiments as many others, 'I should have read the reviews before dealing with this company'.

I return my unused parts to them. They received the return in May 10. Now is Jun 11, I still not receive my refund. I chat with them, they just ask me to wait. Email to them, 1st reply is - Normally takes 20 business day to do the refund. After 20 business day, I sent another email for the same issue. They don't even return my email.
Bad service with this supplier. You are push your customer away.
