bought a laptop from office depot office max for black friday. it was the biggest mistake, the laptop showed tons of savings and 8th gen I7 processor. i assumed the hardware is quite robust and it's going to be an awesome laptop thats gonna run smooth for 5 yrs atleast. i purchase squaretrade insurance as well as they said that was also on deal. less than 2 yrs from the date of purchase and this laptop is already dying!! i know how to maintain my computer been using them since i was 12. i love hp laptops but this one turns out to be a piece of junk. i got no help from hp as it was covered only for 1yr under warranty. The insurance that i had paid for Squaretrade have made it worse by making me go in endless loops dealing with officemax to get a copy of receipt.
I explained squaretrade, i had paid for this online and pickedup in the store which is why the receipt shows 00.0$ on it and i sent them copy of flyer that was attached on the laptop box (that i still have saved) for which they say it wouldn't work!!
W.T.F!! how else am suppose to prove i purchased this laptop for 400$?

Atrocious customer service. Misled about available colors of card stock and when I showed her the one I. Inquired about she tried to avoid apologizing and blamed it on me. Went to FedEx and got immediate and courteous service.

Ordered an item off officedepot.com that said was in stock on 9/24/19 to be delivered 10/1/19. Status of order never progressed past in process so I called customer service 3 times and am still on hold at this moment for over 30 minutes. Also texted and emailed them and they cannot tell me where my order is or the status. I could have ordered off Walmart.com for a few dollars more and already had the item. This is THE WORST service I have ever received! I would suggest not ordering from officedepot.com. Thought I'd try it one time and I am regretting it.

You purchase a product that should be shipped in 3 days and then it ships in 12 days because it's on backorder. Yet the tracking shows the product shipped out the next day, so why did the 3-day shipping change to 12-day.
Then when you contact support after several messages back and forth you get a templated apology directed to some random person (not myself) and you aren't even able to respond to the email....
What a joke.

If only I could say no stars. It took over an hour to place simple order online. My shipping address was incorrect. I tied numerous times to correct it but when updated it reverted to incomplete info. I tried the chat function The first said I needed to relog in to see it had been corrected. It wasn't and of course I lost the chat. I had to go over it all again and 2nd chat sent a link for me to do it myself - which I had already tried. Again when updated it reverted to incomplete info. 3rd time chat after I had to start over explaining to them AGAIN allegedly fixed it. I have no faith the order will actually get there. NEVER AGAIN.

What a scam retailer. Online order to be picked up at store. A corner desk and matching bookcase. Both on clearance. Both IN STOCK.
Received email. Bookcase ready for pick-up. Desk unavailable. Was charged $124 for desk and bookcase.
Called #800. Told them I wish to cancel since entire order cannot be filled. I was told they have to ESCALLATE my cancellation since I do not want to pick up the available bookcase which is waiting for me.
How ridiculous. They screw up the order. Their inventory is flawed. They charge my account for items they cannot supply. And then they make me feel as if I am the problem.
Now I have to wait for them to process my cancellation and send me an appropriate email. And I have to wait for my money to be refunded.
What a joke. SCAMMERS! First and last order from OfficeMax or Office Depot.

I ordered a desk online and was given a choice between picking it up in the store or next business day delivery. I chose the next business day delivery and when I checked the order status the following Monday it indicated that it wouldn't be delivered until the next Monday.
Flash forward to that Monday and I get an automated phone call wanting me to schedule delivery for Wednesday between 9 and 1 and informing me that I had to be home to receive the desk.
I called them to see what could be done so I wouldn't have to spend four hours sitting at home on a work day, but I was told it was too late to modify my order even if the desk would fit in my car. I was hung up on by the first person I spoke with and the second person spent over 15 minutes trying to transfer me.
Finally, I got to speak to someone in executive customer relations who apparently couldn't get my desk to me any sooner, but said that the desk could be left outside my front door.
That Wednesday I got a voicemail from a man at 1:45 saying that he had my delivery and I wasn't home. When I got home at 2:30, the desk wasn't waiting for me.
I called them again and apparently the delivery driver never got the message about leaving the desk outside, so I would have to wait another day before they tried to deliver it again.
I told them to either get it to me that day or cancel my order. It never came.
I spent nearly two weeks waiting for a desk and have nothing to show for it. I'd recommend either picking your order up from the store or not shopping with them at all.

Terrible company to order from. Ordered a small print order and as if two weeks trying to get them print it they still do not have it done. Have heard every excuse in the book for reasons they have not completed the job. Now it is the day before I needed the job completed and I am standing in front of them only to find out they have to redo the whole thing because they never saved the proofs. Unbelievable on the lack of follow through and customer service. I would give less than one star but this site does not allow me to do that. My opinion don't order anything from Office Depot.

Worst customer service ever, I did not receive my order and after they changed the delivery on me 2 times I decided to cancel the order . They told me that my money would go back to my bank card in 3 to 5 business days ,well it’s been 7 and when I called today they said oh they didn’t actually refund my money till yesterday so now I have to wait another 3 to 5 days so I asked to speak to a manager and I was never transferred to one “ they are all busy” is what they told me so I gave them my number and was supposed to get a call back within 15 to 20 minutes GUESS WHAT ITS BEEN 6 HOURS and no call yet, I will never use Office Depot for anything ever again

Customer service at St. Pete location was nice. The cost for sending an email because my scanner broke is literally Insanely expensive. There is no reason to charge other than a basic fee to email. No ink is used only their internet line. Won't go there again. $11.50 to email a document is insane!!!!

They took advantage of my 73 year old grandfather. His computer was running slow and he took it there to have their "free" diagnostic. Now he's paying them $180 a year for tech services he didn't need. Then I find out that they are being sued for $35,000,000 for conning customers into buying their service. The customer would get the "free" diagnostic and it would put adware and harmful stuff on the computer which then they would have to pay Office Depot to remove it. All without the customer suspecting anything. A dying business will resort to anything to make money I guess, even hustling a 73 year old.

Beware of Office depot @401 SW plaza ste 107, Arlington TX 76016 and maybe all Office depots. If you buy anything from them that requires you to have a warranty, their warranties are from a third party. You will end up taking a lose if the item you buy, malfunction in any kind of a way. Make sure you purchase a warranty through the store itself if you can. If not then, go to a better and different store where you can.

Worst Customer Service Ever
Placed a 700.00 order with the company and received an e-mail slating delivery for June 19th. Despite claiming I could track my message online, I was unable to access any shipping information.
On June 19th my product did not arrive, nor did I receive a phone call telling my where my order was.
When I called to inquire, I was informed that Office Depot had no idea where my order was, no way to contact the delivery company, and no explanation to why no one called me tell me the status of my order.
When I asked them to e-mail me information, I was sent information about someone else's delivery which was sent to Florida. Office Depot took my money, lost my order, and failed to even be able to tell me where they had shipped my purchase.
Instead, I was asked to place the same order again and wait another two weeks for delivery.

Recently I went to the Office depot at The Tower Shoppes in Davie Fl. I was assisted by a retired gentleman called Peter. He cashed me out that day and he was extremely pleasant and kind. Peter showed that he value people and take great pleasure in his work. He was a breath of fresh air that day. Though I was having a great day, he made it alot better. No matter in what condition you might of walked into that store, after engaging with Peter, he gives you a new outlook on people skills and customer service. Great individual to have on your TEAM !!!

My experiences with Home Depot have always been horrible. I was looking for someone to direct me to the notebooks for 10 minutes, and no one was on the floor to help. When I finally got the notebooks, I got in line, and there was one person in front of me, and one cashier. The person in front of me took a very long time, but the cashier didn’t even acknowledge me. I waited for about 15 minutes until a manger came up and finally checked me out. I will never return to Office Depot.

I am with their customer service chatting right now. HORRIBLE. They placed an order that is out of stock. Never to tell me. It is supposed to arrive tomorrow. BUT "no worries, when they have it in stock I will be getting it delivered first". This is the second time I ever placed an order with them and this is the second time they have done something like this. I am done with this company.

BAD BAD BAD, DON'T ORDER FOR DELIVERY; you expect to have your supplies delivered on your hands. Our office is on the second floor; but the Office Depot's Delivery guy left my supplies down stair on the hallway; I called Office Depot Customer Care Center; first able the agent told me my order will be deliver tomorrow, but my boxes were already sitting down stairs, I explained to her about and she said someone will come back tomorrow to take the boxes to the right place ????? I ask also to speak with the Delivery Service Department or Supervisor but Customer Service agent told me unfortunately she can not transfer to a supervisor.
So....Where to go if I am paying for delivery service also, or if is deficient their service, they should not provide delivery.
I will NEVER order again from Office Depot.

Dont shop with them online ever! They take over your card information and put holds on your account and create fraudulent and double charges! They have great deals and offers to save money so if you continue to shop with them, please just do it in person!! This has happen to me twice, I wouldn't risk it again! Customer service also was a waste of time.

Ordered a Serta office chair on 7/13/19, the price $381.00. It arrived on 7/17/19. Took me about an hour to put together, got the whole thing done and was connecting the cables, and the last cable was about 1/4 of an inch short.
I first called Serta, and they told me they would have to order a new chair arm, and it would take about 8 weeks to get it. So I called Office Depot and they wanted me to disassemble the chair, and put in back in the box, and they'd arrange for a pick up, and deliver an other chair. God knows how long that would take.
Home Depot has the worst customer service I'v seen in a while.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! I ordered a laptop online, I was going to pick it up at a nearby store. I called the store the next day, to make sure that they had it. They told me the ordered had been canceled and I would have to call the support line to find out why. It was a oriental person, who barely spoke English. They told me that my bank did not authorize the payment. I called my bank and the payment was authorized. Office Max had received the money for the laptop! I then called the Office Max support line again, once again someone who barely spoke English. They couldn't help me, they didn't understand what I needed. All they kept telling me was that the payment wasn't authorized. When it was!!! I called my bank and they are investigating to get my money refunded to me. So I had my husband buy it again on his separate credit card. The payment went through again.I called the nearby store again, and they told me it was canceled. I called the support line again and they told me the payment was not authorized. My husband called his bank and the payment was authorized! I called the store to tell them that there might be a issue with the online system and they should have it looked at. The store told me that it wasn't their problem. So now me and my husband are both out the money and the laptops.I would not recommend buying anything from this company!!! They don't even have a support line to help, when you need it!!

If you're running a busy business and need office supplies, furniture or a computer DO NOT use these people. I needed a new laptop in a hurry. They haven't even processed my order. These people are definitely not on their toes so you better be if you're using them as a vendor. I've spent so much money over the years with them and it's a disappointment that my loyalty is completely disregarded.
