Disgusting people, disgusting food, disgusting customer service.
Want to lose weight by disgusting yourself? you found the place: Nutrisystem. I signed up for this service. I was sent the wrong package containing all the stuff no one would eat, instead of my selected choices. I complained. I was sent a replacement package and charged over $800 for both the right and the wrong package. A robotic customer service woman tried to convince me that it was all my fault. I called again and canceled my service for once and forever -- Mary Osmond -- hasta la vista!

Cancellation - refunds; they make it sound so easy... You know what they say if it's too good to be true, it usually isn't. That is Nutrisystem in a nutshell. I followed their own cancellation instructions and called 14 business days later to follow up and of course, they are unable to locate my returned order, despite a previous phone call instructing me to call back on business day 14. And of course, you're not able to talk to anyone in the "warehouse" where the processing takes place - really, the warehouse??? I'm just another disappointed Nutrisystem customer who has been given the run around and has been lied to.

The BOGO sale (buy one month get one month free for $553.83 - $.9.89 per day) is SO misleading! After talking with two customer service reps here is what I found: One month equals a total of 20 days of meals. The plan is still considered a 28 day plan because "flex meals" are built in. Flex meals are meals you buy/make yourself. So, we expected to pay Nutrisystem for 28 days of meals, will receive enough food for 20 days of meals, and then we have to pay MORE to buy our own meals for 8 of those 28 days! This is so completely dishonest and misleading. If I pay for 28 days of meals I want 28 days of meals from Nutrisystem.

Nutrisystem was at one time a decent program and reasonably priced. Unfortunately that is no longer true. They advertize a 28 day plan however they only provide 20 days of food and leave you on your own for 8 days. Why not be honest and advertize the 20 day plan. They now add an additional $10 packageing fee. They charge more for the mens 20 day plan than the advertized $227 which is for the womans plan only. On TV they advertize 2 months for the price of 1 month, however the charge over $600 for the first month. Being deceptive discredits them as a company. Why not be honest!

The 2 for 1 deal that has been advertised by Marie Osmond (their spokesperson) is a bit misleading. You don't really get Buy one month, get the Second month for free, they jack the price up on the monthly rate and then give you 50% off your order. So when you go online and it says your package will cost $366 , that means $366 per month, it means that that particular package would have cost you $732 per month. I didn't realize this until I got an email from Nutrisystem about my membership, I signed online to check out the website more closely, this is when it showed that in less than a couple of weeks I was being billed another $366, WHAT? I called the CSR, and she said that $366 is the monthly fee AFTER the 50% discount. Well if you figure out the numbers, that works out to be $17 per day for 20 or 21 days, yes you heard me right, not 30 days, they give you 21 days worth of food. You're on your own for 10 or 11 days of the month. I'm just pointing out the fact that they advertise 2 for 1, when it's not, it is 50% off per month of an over inflated monthly rate. And it isn't a months worth of food, it is 21 days worth of food. Call it 21 days of food, don't lie and say it's a months worth of food.

So far so good! Had some follow up questions and spoke initially to the rudest person I’d ever spoken with. I asked to speak to someone else and she disconnected the call. Nutrisystem, you say the calls are recorded - please go back and listen! On a more positive note I called back and spoke with Lenny - the complete opposite of the first call. Lenny answered my questions and gave me good advice - she saved the day for me and my Nutrisystem review.

I was on this program 2 years ago and it worked for me. I had put on some weight so I started it up again. Imagine my surprise when I found out my 28 day program was now basically 20 days worth. I have to make 8 days worth of “flex” meals on my own. What a scam. Better Business Bureau here I come!

Received my order costing $212, returned it in just a few weeks. Was told I would receive a refund onto my credit card in 1-2 billing cycles. This is in Oct 2018. Check my yearly credit card statement in July 2019. No credit was ever issued. Call Nutrisystem July 23,2019, tell them it's been 8 months and no refund. They give me no reason at all for why no refund was never issued (they received my return within the time frame that guaranteed a refund). August 15, 2019, still no refund. Call again, apparently 2 days after my July call they say they see logged that they no longer have my card information on file to refund it to. No one calls me, nor do they issue me a check (they all all of my info on file still). I call again. They refuse to give me a refund without giving my credit card info over the phone to them. I call my credit card company trying for a chargeback. Too long after the charge was made so they refuse. 10 months later, no less than 9 documented phone calls (each time having to give full info ..address, phone, etc....sometimes more than once because of being transferred multiple times, even though I was given a specific extension of a person to contact regarding my account). I logged 1 hour and 8 minutes in just the last 24 hrs on the phone with the company, trying to get my refund, being transferred over and over or just sitting on hold. Still waiting on my refund, which will only be $185 of the $212. The company flat out refused to let me ever speak to a supervisor about my account, and I asked multiple times. Waiting 3-5 business days for the refund...for the third time.

I saw the add on tv and decided to call and get more information.
Totally disappointed at the gentleman that answer the phone. In fact, He is the reason I did not join.. he was unbelievable rude and patronizing constantly.
I asked him to give me some info about the program. I asked Whether it was a shake program. meals, etc. He could not believe that I was asking. Like I should have known all about the program..
bottom line. I am going elsewhere!! Nutrí system “GET BETTER PEOPLE TO PROMOTE YOUR PROGRAM.”. Train them to treat future customers with patience and Comparison....

I had a terrible experience with this product. I ordered a two week supply of breakfast lunch and dinner from QVC. I was on vacation when it arrived so by the time I tried it, it was too late to return. I ate meals for one day along with water and a few carrots. About 11PM I got so sick that my daughter had to come to help me off the bathroom floor. I will not go into graphic details but it was the most horrible experience of my life. The food tasted terrible and gave me severe abdominal pains right after eating. I thought it would pass but I was wrong. Symptoms mimicked food poison. I lost a day of work the next day recovering.

I have been a loyal customer for 12 years. In June 2019, the prices went up without notice by 20.22%. Nutrisystem claims that this has occurred due to technical issue on their website and they cannot resolve it. I contacted the company multiple times and in their most recent response they claim” Your pricing had been grandfathered for a long time, but unfortunately, the system wouldn't release the order due to the pricing issue.”
The company is claiming they cannot restore my correct price due to “technical issues”. This is poor business practice. The claim that the price is now higher due to technical issue as a result of a glitch appears as fraudulent method to charge more money.

there are so many other meal service companies please don't pick nutrisystem. I picked them because they are the oldest, largest, most well known and I thought it would be a safe bet. Well they shipped my items right before a hurricane with a mandatory evacuation, and guess what, after the evacuation was lifted all the frozen food was spoiled. I actually tried to cancel the order, which they refused as somehow I was "locked in for 2 months". I then tried to delay the order, but they also refused.
I got zero reimbursement financially or by a new shipment and now I'm out $425, which affords me ramen, and is going to ruin any goals I had from last month.
Also btw, they sell your information.

Food is gross but I endured it, suffering through every meal for 6 weeks and lost 3 lbs!
I called and wanted to cancel after the first 3 weeks but the counselor convinced me to stick with it. I called again and requested a refund after 6 weeks and would return the extra food and they told me I had to have requested the refund within 15 days of getting the food!? Total scam

Horrible horrible. I can buy Walmart brand that taste better then Nutrisystem. Omg Ms Osmond, I bought this on qvc. $50.00 A MONTH for 4 months. If you like food that taste like cardboard. Enjoy. I don't like a lot of salt or garlic. Thought this would be perfect. Gave to a friend. She threw it away. Still paying for the next 3 months. $50.00 a month. That is Maria Osmond. Your a rich woman for horrible food.

Commercial talks about 50% off. Misleading. Plans say they are for 4 weeks. Misleading. Only receive 20 days. They expect you to flex 8 servings of your meals and snack in those 4 weeks. That should be later for maintenance not at the beginning for weight loss. I ordered a few years ago and received 28 days meals and snack. Now for the same price you receive 8 less days of meals and snacks. How deceiving and misleading. I am disappointed in Nutrisystem and myself for not spending more time to figure out their racket.

I called to cancel and had to hold for over 20 minutes so I finally took the option for a call back. !5 minutes later, Josh called and I attempted to cancel my auto order program. He launched into a sales pitch and refused to cancel the program. He threatened to charge me $125. I told him I knew the Nutrisystem headquarters location and he responded by telling me, he knows my location (which I took as some crazy threat). I will not pay a penalty to cancel this crap program with forced deliveries that they won't let you change. Never sign up with this outfit or you will eventually regret it.

No wonder I lost weight, I found the food to be pretty disgusting. Way too much sodium, and it does not seem they use quality ingredients. The only thing that I really like are the snack cookies. I had foot surgery, and decided to order Nutrisystem because I was not able to cook for myself. I did not get a discount on my first four weeks, but was told that I had to order a second four weeks to get $50 off. I would not waste my money on this program again.

I tried nutrisystem one year ago and lost 30 lbs was pleased with the product. Ordered again this summer as I had gained some weight back that I had lost. The food that I got was the same but the taste of the food was not. I kept thinking it was just a fluke but it was more of the same as I continued to eat the food. Never again will I purchase from this company. I tried to talk to customer service several times before I got through. (by the way it sends you to the same menu as you ordering different just a different #) Poor customer service the person said if you don't like the taste just don't order it? Really don't order again if you don't like the taste of the food. So not happy with this company!

Was just fired yesterday from Nutrisystem because I complained over and over again that management training was denied to certain employees fully, but still told to sit at a desk in the call center and answer customer questions and complaint. Majority of the time the supervisors tell the reps to lie and make up stuff to the customers to get them off the phone because of "call volume". To tell customers there are no supervisors available when they are standing right next to you half the time. A lot of cover up in this company, that's why I kept a trail of email and sueing BIG TIME! i WILL be spreading the truth about this company all over social media, as the higher ups in human resources and supervisors on the floor in customer service are mostly racist, and discrimination runs rampant! I feel free now that I'm not there, but the truth will be told. I am not a disgruntled ex-worker, but a FREE ex-worker from the call center who can't believe a company like this is placing their hostile work atmosphere on the neck of tons of workers. Beware of call center supervisors and team leads. There are all in a co-hoots with each other, and act like there are no corporate laws they are responsible to obey, only the sneaky, underhanded rules they place on the workers. Backstabbers.. all of them. I feel sorry for the workers there that don't have heart to stand up for themselves. OH well!! Tivity will be certified!!

Nutrisystem is a complete scam. First off, they charge double the price of a grocery store and their meals are disgusting. I threw away the majority of the dinners and lunches. The snacks and breakfast items were in fact pretty good. When I went to cancel my order after my 14 day period, they charged me 125.00 dollar cancelation fee even though my order said I couldn't cancel before 14 days. So I was charged $125 for me and $125 for my husband to cancel. So in total for 2 people, we spent over $500.00 on horrible tasting meals. Save yourself money and irritation and do not order.

I was very excited to try Nutrisystem that I purchased through QVC. The presenter along with Marie Osmond kept stating how the food is so delicious. I apparently did not order the box with delicious food (sarcasms).
Needless to say, the food does not taste good to me (I’m being polite).
Can I get a refund?

Just horrible. Since I did not want to go on autoship I contacted Nutrisystem by telephone to explain I only had less than 10 pounds to lose and just wanted to purchase one month of food. The salesperson said "no problem"- just purchase the items a la carte.
One month after my original shipment they sent another which I promptly returned. They refused to issue a full refund (only a partial)
I filed an appeal with my credit card company and Nutrisystem's response was as follows:
"The customer was provided with proper disclosure of cancellation policy..." This is ridiculous as my only contact with the company was a salesperson on the phone who never made such a disclosure--in fact I disclosed to him I only wanted one month of food!!!
"The customer was made aware of the refund policy..." Absolutely false
"Customer was provided with notice from the merchant at least ten days prior to billing"- Totally false
"Customer is still benefiting from the product they received..." WTF_ I returned it all- how could I still be benefiting
In my opinion these people are dishonest and not to be trusted. Next time I want to lose a few pounds I'll look elsewhere

I was contemplating this program especially when it's advertised as 50% off. Reason WHY I did NOT proceed is because it seems, in my opinion, the company is solely interested in making money. NOT truly helping consumers. I contacted company to ascertain IF counselors could assist in picking meal plans since I have # food allergies.... NO such help available. one of my main allergies is peppers & I know a lot of programs use these to season their food. So why would anyone want to purchase an item that may end up sending them to ER?????
