We stayed for one night, had driven by the place several times on our many trips to the area. It ws recommended to us by our daughter. We stayed in a room over the lodge, even with the restaurant and bar downstairs it was quiet upstairs. Our room was very clean amd cozy. Had what we needed. Plenty of parking for our truck and snowmobile trailer, place was busy. We saw deer feeding right out back of the lodge. The staff was friendly and helpful for trail conditions. Price was a little high for our room. We would recommend this place snowmobile trail access right there although we trailered down to the ball field by the turn off to Moxie Falls. Beds were comfortable, pillows could be replaced. We would book again.

Husband was happy when we were told we could park our snowmobile trailer at our cabin. The Cozy Cabin was clean despite the stovetop smelling a little funky in use (a slightly burnt smell). The cabin comes with 2 twin pillows so we requested 2 additional after the 1st night. Customer Service was very kind in delivering them with additional towels as we requested no maid service for our 3-night stay. The showerhead is low and didn't accommodate our 6ft stature but was clean. The cabin was a 30 second snowmobile drive from ITS and NO's Lodge. On the 2nd night, I was too tired to cook so we went to have appetizers and a soda/wine up in the lodge. We sat at the bar. Service was nice but slow as there were several parties with only one waiter (the bartender). Poor guy had to serve all of us. We didn't mind waiting the extra few mins for our check or refill as he was pleasant despite his workload. The 3rd night we decided to go back to the lodge for dinner. There was a very kind waitress this time who took our photos in from of the wood-burning fire and served amazing food. She was great! I think we really benefitted coming early in the season with less people so we will be returning in March to end the year.

Stayed in the Crying Loon last year. Memory foam mattresses were perfect there. Beds in the Timberdoodle were not, we were funneled to the low spot in the middle.
We ate 2 meals at the pub, Fri night and Sat afternoon. Fri night our meals (Meatloaf & mac-cheese special) were served too cold to eat, not even remotely hot. Ordered a beef stew in a bread bowl (this was plenty hot) and unknown to us, a napkin was placed under the bread bowl, no idea why. After eating half of the napkin, it was discovered. Sat ordered 2 cheeseburgers cooked medium and they both came out so rare we could not eat them, I mean RARE. Do not ever plan on eating another meal in that pub and undetermined if we will return in the future, probably will not. Sincerely, John McDougal

The lodge, grounds, food, rooms and most of all the staff are some of the best in Maine. Northern Outdoors has the perfect combination for helping you to explore the best sledding in Maine. At the end of the day, you want comfort and zero attitude, Northern Outdoors delivers the perfect package. I have traveling Maine for 50 years and you can’t come across a better family run operation! I hope to stay here another 50! Cheers

Everything great. Only three things they should do to make my experience 5 star. couches could be much more comfortable. We're snowmobilers we like comfortable couches in the night to relax. There was a TV in the kitchen but no t.v in the living room again come on now let's make the living room a comfortable cozy place especially considering the rest of the cabin is so nice. Last thing better signage on the trails to get there. We're snowmobilers we like good trail signs. When you think you put up enough signs then put up some more. If it were my establishment. I'd have neon signs guiding you in. My buddy agreed with all of this and the gentleman at the restaurant agreed and said he hears it alot about the fact there should be better signage. Other than those three things, tv, couches, trail signs everything great. Best steak tips I've every had!
