Truly awful service,
I have been accused of lying and ignored
I just wanted to know when my repair would be completed, when I booked it in i was informed 10 days.
It turns out it’s 10 days from when they decide to open the box which they did after 20 days...

I am in Ireland and I cannot send a Nintendo Switch to the UK for a repair as the website won't accept my Postal Code. Can anyone advise?

Only giving 1 star as 0 is not an option.
I have had every Nintendo console since the NES including all handheld consoles from the Gameboy. I digress. I bought my 5 year old son a switch for Christmas 2018. In March of 2019 one of the Joycon started auto tracking making games impossible to play. I sent it away for repair. Despite a 10 day turn around advertised on the website, I received the Joycon back 3 weeks later, which is an eternity to a 5 year old unable to play his switch. The Joycon sat in a Nintendo depot for 10 days and I was advised that the 10 day turn around doesn’t start until it’s received at the repair centre. Using the online tracking, I could see the repair took 20 minutes. But they had the Joycon for 3 weeks. Move forward to July 2019. Same Joycon same issue, sent for repair again. Nintendo have now had the Joycon for 6 days and it is still not at the repair centre and to add insult to injury, the second Joycon has developed the same fault!!! NINTENDO DO NOT DO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I claimed the product was not fit for purpose as this is a well known and recurring issue and nothing is being done to rectify the issue. I was advised I had to contact the retailer I bought it from and complain to them. I asked why as it was a Nintendo product and I was advised that Nintendo don’t have a complaints department. I am aware of a class action suit being raised against Nintendo in the USA regarding the switch being unfit for purpose due to known issues not being rectified. Currently seeking legal advice regarding my position and would urge as many people as possible to do the same.

Nintendo really doesn't care about their clients. Runaway from this company! They have a terrible customer service which does not care about you, they just say "sorry" but they do nothing to solve the problem. I bought a Nintendo Switch to be delivered the next day, and guess what? It already passed 5 days and they didn't deliver it. When I called Nintendo they did nothing to solve my case, they just don't care. I would recommend buying a Playstation or Xbox instead of anything from this crap company.

Bought for my son as a Christmas present and he loves it. Joy cons stopped working, not going to bore you with every in and out but I'm out 150 as the screen supposedly had water damage, about to send it back to nintendo for the fourth time as the right hand joy con still is not charging. My son has had the use of this device for half of the time he has owned it. I will never buy another nintendo device and will share my experience with anyone I come across considering buying one.

ok so as us parents do with our kids they nag us for certain games and credits online, and we just go and pay for these things to keep them happy, HOWEVER.!!!!
its my boys 15th birthday and he has autism and has a Nintendo switch and we was telling us about how cheap it is to buy the games for his toy online rather than buying the game cards ect, so we as parent basically for him his main presents and let him chose one of the cheaper ones online that he had been talking about just as a little bonus for him
so hes chosen his game and hands us his switch for the payment and we pay for the item that he chose
one hour passes and he is in tears saying he can't use it because he needs and online pass subscription to play it at all, there was no offline play at all with it
my problem is why when actually paying for this game was there not some kind of warning that before paying you was aware of this ect, how many parents has this happened to?? most of us have no clue about these consoles and the kids are the know all's and we just supply them with the games they ask for
contacting nintendo with the problem and the mistake that was made and asking for a refund they where uttley unhelpful and refuse any kind of refund even though we said there was no warning there was a subscription to pay after and the fact he'll never use it as we don't believe after spending hundreds on the gear and all the games bought in the past why we should have to pay just for one cheap game ect
its gone to show even a simple mistake down to lack of infomation before paying leads to one upset child on his birthday and my partner out of pocket for what to be fair was a rubbish game anyway
the lack of empathy from this company has made me decide never to buy anything else ever from this company out of principle and use another company like sony where its very clear about game passes ect as had this with my eldest boy and on purchase i knew this in advance, i was under the impression nintendo was you buy the game and play it, but not being a gamer at all what do i know?
bottom line?? disgusted with how this was handled
on recipet of email actuallty was very unclear message about 14days refund ect and told this has nothing to do with and very hard to understand in fact what it is suppose to mean and why it was sent with receipt in 1st place? sure nintendo will have some uncaring explanation under this for this and still won't care,
mistakes are made by parents trying to keep their kids happy, well ?
well done you had a 15yrs boy in tears on his birthday, very understanding of you

I have been a Nintendo Customer for years, but their customer service is a disgrace. I called them as my Right Joycon would not connect as a singular controller and the SL SR buttons not working. I called customer service. The lazy agent did no trouble shooting and told me to send it for repair with a letter detailing the fault. I sent it in for a repair. They repaired something different and did not repair that fault. I found out from another agent she should have given me a repair reference number after foungbtrouble shooting. So it is now in for its 4th repair which could have been avoided. I raised it as a complaint. I called back as never heard anything, spoke to a Louie who refused to help me or even open my account. Told me when I raise a complaint I di not get to hear anything back. I have never spoke to such a rude agent before. I am always polite to call centre agents and I think that was the first time I spoke to one so rude I got angry at them. Absolutely disgusting customer service. I think they have moved the call centre out of the UK now and it was never as bad as this before.

DO NOT GO TO NINTENDO REPAIR SERVICE. They are absolutely horrible. I bought a controller brand new, and set nintendo a receipt where it clearly says brand new and not pre owned or used. But since the company the controller was purchased from is a second hand store they refused to trust me or the receipt! This should NOT fall on the customer. DO NOT GO TO NINTENDO REPAIR SERVICE. Extremely unhelpful people

Terrible customer service. No information and they just keep you waiting with no time frame. Nobody knows anything and they cut of the conversation when you try to get anything to know from them. Expected so much more from company this size. Package is obviously lost in post or they never sent it as it has not been delivered (3 weeks later than promised), tracking number does not work and never has been working.

Terrible customer service.
If you purchase anything by mistake on their online store be prepared to not get a refund. They send you captions of parts of the terms and conditions, and help you in no way whatsoever.
Amazon/Apple/Google/Sony/Microsoft put Nintendo to shame.

Support from Nintendo is terrible. I went to buy Nintendo vaucher for 84 pounds for 2 games in Switch store. They did charge me 84 pound but not assigned a vaucher. When I got first game I saw what happened. Support respons was sorry we see that you only added 84 pound. Why in hell would I do that? I would add 50 or 100. 0 help from them. Very bad system for online shopping. Better check how much they charge and do they assigne you a vaucher. And support is complete desaster! No help, waste of time!

Nintendo Switch Warranty Useless - my husband purchased a Nintendo Switch from the online store as they included a 2 year warranty for our son. After 18 months the game reader refused to read cards. I contacted and arranged a repair. This is where the problems arose. I was advised that they wouldn’t process the repair as it hasn’t been booked in my husbands name- despite being advised by the repair team this didn’t matter. They then repaired the joy cons which I didn’t ask to be done but asked for £157 to repair the card reader. I declined - I believed this should be covered under the warranty as it’s a hardware issue. The team they couldn’t repair it as the console had been returned. It hadn’t as I received another request for monies 10 days later. I contacted and they eventually returned it. However when it was returned it was without the screws holding the case together. Which they claim is how it was received!!!!, which is clearly not true and the photos they forwarded didn’t evidence this - their customer service is non existent and their extended warranty is not worth the paper it’s written on - they had no interest in resolving any issues or honouring this warranty Disgusting!

I’ve been with Nintendo since the Nintendo 64 as that was my first console. I’ve never been let down by them once. I’ve bought stuff from the official UK store 2-3 times and Hyrule Warriors Legends arrived a week early which was great. I do highly recommend as staff are friendly and they do care about customers.

Have had every console from SNES onwards and never had an issue with reliability (all still work!). However, I currently have 2 Nintendo Switch systems with have had so many issues with drifting controllers, game crashes and now battery / charging problems. I sent the faulty console back after booking a repair online (very simple, easy to use and regular updates) received the system back about 2 weeks later, all good - apart from the console still not working! Apparently it’s my charger, funny because my other switch works on all 3 of my chargers! So back it goes, after a week, get an email saying I need to pay £55, to replace the USB C port as it was broken (but not picked up on first inspection!) - OK, need it back, so call to pay - I then get told on the phone I shouldn’t pay, and that an investigation will be started to see why this wasn’t picked up to start. Frustrating, but ok will only take 24hours, so see what happens - now another week on and no updates, can’t pay and no idea when I can get my system back!
We love Nintendo, the Switch is a great idea, some brilliant games, but not happy with customer service or durability so far.

Absolute disgrace. Christmas gift never arrived and it took 4 months to find out that they had an invalid tracking number. 6 months on and I cannot get a refund for the £75.I keep being told it is with the 'dedicated team'. Nintendo cancelled the order 2 months ago but won't refund the payment and I cannot speak to anybody about it. Funnily enough when I reordered the same item it arrived within days so they can take payments without a problem.

Genuinely shocked at how poor their customer service is.
Bought Mario Party for my daughter’s Christmas present, 6 and a half months later it totally stopped working.
Nintendo support won’t deal with me because it has been more than 90 days.
Nintendo store won’t deal with me because it has been more than 30 days.
The first thing you see on their store front is the “2 year warranty” but it’s totally worthless.
If you need to buy Nintendo products, then avoid their store and buy through Argos or amazon as they have massively better customer service

Poor policy and service. My 10 year old son didn't navigate the confusing purchase journey perfectly and ended up with wrong game. Contacted support immediately however they refused to assist and left him distraught that his birthday vouchers had all gone with no recourse. Left a bad taste in the mouth and a useless game on his console for us. Lost Nintendo a young fan and customer.
