Just a place for people to complains about their neighbors. If someone attacks you in a post and you respond, then you are labeled as the offender, your account is suspended, and to be reinstated you have to agree to only post those opinions that are acceptable to the Nextdoor Overlords.

My name has been listed as a trades person on the next door app without my consent. If anyone knows how I can remove my name from this app please let me know in the comments below.
Word of mouth is the best way to find a quality, honest, reliable local trades person- not an app!

This concerns Freelance Bistro.i looked up their menu on line and the price point for the entree I wanted was $10.95. When our bill came I was charged $24! Quite a difference. No one was at the door to greet, we finally just walked on back to the bar area. They need a bell so people can alert them to customers. And the drinks were very small but we were charged $11. The food was good and the bread was excellent. But we won’t be going back. Very disappointed as I had read good reviews.

Nextdoor's policy of making people put there full names on the account is a security problem. As stated in many complaints, not all people value others opinions nor can they take a post as informational and leave it at that. I've had people find my home leave notes on my car and door because they had my full name, and when I changed my name to reflect my initials, Nextdoor locked me out indefinitely...because last year the same thing happened so I put an initial and last name and they temporarily suspended me, but again after this last irate neighbor left notes at my residence I decided I didn't want to take any more chances and change my name back to initials and then...total lock out. I asked will they be held responsible for harassment...damage to personal and private property because some irate neighbor can't handle someone else's opinion? I'm waiting to see what they decide again!!

Nextdoor Molescroft. A very useful site in the local community. Police & crime alerts, interesting local news shared. Security alerts if suspicious behaviour noted in the community. Scams highlighted. Requests for recommendations for trade contacts helpful. Many ideas shared. Great site.

Nextdoor is moderated by bully teenagers or people with no communication skills. I was banned because my last name was not correct. My post was deleted. My friend posted about the reason why my post was deleted and myself banned. His post was deleted in seconds. No, no free speech. They do whatever they want. Trumpism? Lose lousy nextdoor.

AS LONG AS THIS SITE OR ANY OTHER TELEMARKETING SITE INCLUDES NON LICENSED, NON INSURED SO CALLED CONSTRUCTORS (HANDYMAN) COMPETE WITH QUALIFIED LICENSED CONTRACTORS, IT'S NOT A FAIR PLAYING FIELD!
NON LICENSED CONTRACTORS,THEY DON'T CALIFORNIA STATE LICENSE FEES, BOND FEES, AND MOST LIKELY DON'T CARRY BUSINESS INSURANCE! THEY CAN UNDERBID ANY LICENSED, QUALIFIED CONTRACTOR. WHEN I HAVE BEEN ASKED TO JOIN AND PAY THE MONTHLY ADVERTISING RATE,
I ALWAYS ASK, IF THE SITE OR ANY OTHER SITE ALLOWS ANY UNLICENSED CONTRACTORS TO ADVERTISE, THEY RUN AROUND THE QUESTION. THE ANSWER IS ALL OF THESE MARKETING SITES ARE REVENUE DRIVING. THEY WANT MONEY, WHEREVER IT COMES FROM! UNTIL ANY OF THESE SITES DECIDE TO BE UPFRONT WHETHER AN ADVERTISER IS OR IS NOT FULLY LICENSED,BONDED AND INSURED, YOU ARE WASTING YOUR ADVERTISING DOLLARS!

I am a California State Contractor. Licensed, Bonded, and insured. I have been banned by NextDoor.com for exposing the many individuals people recommend to their neighbors as not having a Contractors License. Not just a few but 95% of the dozens of people I was exposed to on their site. Be extremely careful who you expose yourself and your family to when hiring unlicensed people to perform work on your house. Unlicensed people use your own HomeOwners Insurance to cover themselves and their employees because they are not self insured. They can't get insurance because they aren't legitimate companies. If anyone is hurt including your family members YOU are held responsible.

I had Roberts Repairs (949-245-1321) fix my leak in wall ,another plumbing company quoted $ 8,000, For finding leak in wall And he fixed very hard to find leak for $1,500.00.He doesn’t do drywall, but still it will be way under what other company wanted.Robert has 45years experience, so I’m sure he can fix problem, and he’s honest too.

We have a neighborhood site that is lead by someone who is completely abusing his power. He is the only lead for over 1000 members and is posting his political views and when anyone disagrees with him he removed their comments and gets them removed by the site. Many of us have tried to report him to nextdoor but nextdoor doesn’t even reply or do anything about it. We have all called and filled out their form and they do nothing. Who runs a site like this with no support????

I get a lot of useful information through Nextdoor. My favorites are vendor/contractor recommendations and current events near me. Right now I’m trying to solve a water bill problem, and I found out through Nextdoor that quite a few neighbors near me are having the same problem. It’s been very helpful to know that as I try to get this problem resolved.

Nextdoor well there is nothing good to say about it. If you post something you are bashed with hate and called names AND when you report these people even though youve done nothing and held your tongue THEY BLOCK YOU. Who ever makes the rules and administers issues they are Rediculous.

Biased, Sexist. Racist, Constitutional Rights violators, human rights violators.
Why is my address shown before I know there’s an option to change it?
By then anyone could have taken note of my addres and if they didn’t like something I said, could have been at my door waiting to kill me...This should be why?
Why can’t I have a screen name why do my real name has to be shown online.
The world we live in is ever changing and crime is everywhere Identity theft is on the rise but here I’m giving not just my name but my whole address to people I can walk out the door and talk to, I’m very social. Besides IG and FB allow you to use a name other than your real name.
Why do you all block people and send an email saying if you allow us to change your name to your real name we will reactivate your account. Who’s bartering with you all? If this is for the sake of getting communities together why can’t people say what they want as long as it’s not threatening. Also why is a real name need if I break the law there’s this little identifier that’s called an IP address so what are you all really looking for?
I don’t give a hoot about that account and I say again why does ones name and address need to be shown?
Anyone of you here saying you love it are likely the biased racists sexist and bigots that they allow to stay. If you care about your safety and the well being of your family don’t use this site. Ms. McCollum I would love to email you to see what we can do to fix this. This site needs to be taken down they are above the law and the are violating people’s rights. If you say something they don’t like they will delete your account. I noticed a post where no one said anything about the President; actually it was a statement about costs in our county and this person jokingly says blame Trump and another chimed in to say “it’s not Trumps fault morons” that post was allowed to stay so it makes me wonder. The other thing I have a problem with is “if you allow us to update your account with your real name we will reactivate it. I don’t like that they are on our posts remotely where is the security on this site... I am writing the FCC and complaining and writing reviews everywhere I can

Not safe. They allow trolls and stalkers to remain on the site and when you complain or report them, YOU are bounced. They create far more divisive communities than cohesive ones. Personal information is available to others in the community and IS exploited by creeps and stalkers. Scary and unsafe. AVOID!

I enjoyed using the App until I moved. The company would not transfer my account to my new neighborhood. Tried a couple of approaches through providing
phone numbers (didn’t work), then requesting post cards with activation codes that never arrived. They then asked for bank account data which I refused to provide. Finally they told me to find a certified neighbor to verify me. This is difficult when you just moved into a new town. I worked with them for almost three months trying to resolve this. It revealed to me how poor their costumer service and inefficiency of their product.

Love this site. When we moved into the neighborhood we had some issues with break ins and everyone in the area contributed to help us get it stopped and to feel safe here. Without this site, I don't know how we would have connected.

The website sometimes crashes, and sometime neighbors are very whiny, but in general I find Nextdoor to be very useful. Most of the time the posts are very constructive and the best part is the moderators and the engineers behind the curtain really listen to suggestions. I am very happy to endorse Nextdoor!

I like this Nextdoor. It would be nice for more people to join and also for the town to share info what's going on in town. I found out yesterday from someone that doesn't use Nextdoor that our Music on Main entertainment was going to be The Kentucky Headhunters this year. This info should be on Nextdoor so we can be informed of events going on. Also the app needs improvement on how to access it a little quicker.
