Long time shopify user and today, suddenly, not the usual WONDERFUL tech support team but a call center!? Oh, gees....

There is a reason why Shopify has such a bad rating on Trust Pilot and I found this out the hard way about a month ago. I had set up an online store with them after a lot of time, effort and with great attention to detail. Since I currently reside outside the U.S., while setting up my their payment settings I selected a wrong option by mistake and my store was abruptly made unavailable. I have never seen it again, i.e. a week of painstaking effort and sleepless nights gone up in smoke! History repeats itself. When I see the reviews on here, I realize how these customer's negative experiences and frustrations with this brand are very much like my own. I have since contacted them numerous time by chat and email to rectify things and get the store online - all to no avail! Their chat representatives (who are distant in their responses) stated that they are looking into things for about a full working week and after some really frustrating chat sessions and international calls put on long holds, they finally found time to reply to my email after a week! Guess what their response was? That the store is unavailable because of a 'policy issue' and no details can be revealed to the customer! What?! Are they genuinely intending to create the best entrepreneurial experience online? Who do they think they are! Even Jeff Bezos (the richest entrepreneur in the world) responds to serious customer complaints and ensures that they are resolved in less than 24 hours. I know this, because I have personally experienced it. However, thanks to the appalling indifference and casual attitude by Shopify’s customer care towards an entrepreneur’s genuine concern and attempts to launch an online store with them (on a deadline), I have now learnt from my mistake and gone on to build a much bigger and more profitable business model with Wix. Infact, my experience with their team was so draining that today after having experienced amazing management engagement and accountability with other brands, I regret ever opening an account with them! I now realize that a majority of their online endorsements are indirect marketing campaigns, without any real focus on customer satisfaction. Many entrepreneurs have complained about them deceitfully hiding negative reviews on their help forums - due to 'policy reasons'. Be transparent! Your customers will appreciate you for it! Some brands think that they are entitled! Well ... they are wrong!

if there was a way to give negative stars I'd do it. I ordered a curling iron on August 4 and it's now September 22. still no iron, no tracking, emails bounce back from the support page, and now their page is taken down. DO NOT ORDER FROM A PAGE MARKED BY SHOPIFY!!!

Honestly, they don't even deserve one star... I ordered a bunk bed for my Grandaughter in August and still haven't received it; I am in the process of disputing the charge with my credit card company.
This is absolutely disgusting that there are people out there who consider scamming people of their hard earned money. Why don't they just get a real job like the rest of us and stop taking the easy way out. I hope these people are caught and brought to justice; maybe they would like it if someone did this to them or their family.
THIS SUCKS!! I was so excited for my granddaughter!!

SCAM ALERT. they are a rip off. $269 for dog collar and feeding tray. I have not received only a confirmation of order three weeks ago. Emails to their address are returned as unable to deliver no such address.

Ordered product. Waited 3 weeks and still no product. Tried to reach out to the seller but their store was gone! Called Shopify customer support but they couldn't tell if the merchant was valid or not. Their only recommendation was for me to call my bank to open a claim. Why can't Shopify hold the merchants accountable instead of scamming people out of their money?

I was also scammed by this site and one of its users, I’m contacting the government about this site and I encourage you guys to do same as well, it will force them to take accountability for their business. The federal government has an e-commerce complaint department. We need to get this site shut down!

This is a legit website for ALL THE FAKES AND SCAM E-COMMERCE. Purchased a phone from actorsss.com that shopify processed the payment, the website has been closed due to scam, my bank initiated charge back but shopify prevent the chargeback to protect the merchant saying that my purchase was legit because I bought a digital download that I had already use instead of a phone even though I have a receipt for the phone not a digital download and shopify also stated that the company that I bought for is providing a medical service which absolutely scam because there is no digital download for medical service. So in all shopify protection for their Fakes and Scam Merchants, therefore SHOPIFY itself is scamming their way in legitimate way and some one should do something about it. I 'm doing everything I can on the internet and my government law to get this website banned.

I tried to order a footbal jersey for 46 euro from a website called gofoot.com and then I did not get anything and I start to wonder since the link shut down since a while and no longer available. I tried to contact them by email and they reply to me with an automatic email saying that they are sorry for the delay and that my order will take about 3 to 4 months to be treated. I'm pretty sure as many others here that this is absloute scam as I was lookin in the internet to find any information or clue then I noticed that the link was via shopify so. lastly I didnt pay that much for the jersey but still I feel so bad for being ripped off by scamers as....

Was able to build a site from shopify, there drag and drop system was good and easy to understand for a guy like me who don not have any technical knowledge. At first(3 days) it was an awesome experience as everything was going smooth but, on the 4th or 5th day, they shutdown my site. I e-mailed their support and result was disappointing. They said that they can not help me and they have the right to do so according to their policy. I was fine with them not helping me but, as consumer or client I also have the rights to know why they shut down my site so by next time I would be able to avoid the same mistake if I have violated a policy or rule.

SCAM....ordered from vsujvvh.myshopify.com paid $130, after I ordered I got a text message from 978-856-8999.....a few days later went back to check on order and phone number from text I received is disconnected and when I click on the link to check on order is says shop is unavailable!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS STORE!!!

Ordered two cop cams but when received they had a sticker on it that said "press here", but there was no button underneath. Tried returning to China address, but it was sent back to me with a sticker showing "non-reclame" and paypal doesn't want to refund without proof I returned product. PayPal doesn't accept it being returned to me as proof I sent it back. Don't buy anything from them - they are a SCAM!!

Couldn’t fix their own glitch on my account so cancelled my account without explanation citing simply that my “business” was a safety risk. Selling band t shirts through their recommended dropshipping platform somehow is a risk. Absolute joke. No customer service as issue can ONLY be resolved via email with a 48-72 hour response time. Baffling.

Ordered safety trainers for work. They sent a silk scarf. I had to send them photos of the scarf, and their packing with address and sender label to verify. The admitted "their error"... "choose something else from our catalogue"...
No... Your mistake, YOU return my money!! Ongoing for a whole string of emails now... They admit the footwear is sold out and keep attaching pictures of other trainers! NO!! I need SAFETY TRAINERS - FOR WORK!! Simply keep urging me to "choose from the catalogue"... Zero customer service and it appear their returns policy is fictional.
Talk about 'Buyer Beware'... and I daresay even the 'Gucci' silk scarf is a fake!!

So folks, lets not use Shopify EVER again. Any company using this lot to sell is going to rip us off - and nobody seems to be taking the blame for it! PayPal should be ashamed to be associating with this thieving lot - yet they are STILL supporting them. Unbloodybelievable.

I spent 2 weeks building my store, opened it found I had an issue with shipping due to migration from Etsy store. After several guru helps I tried working the products manually 1100 but they would save. This one guru had the bright idea to delete all my products and reinstall a file she created. Promised it would work. It didn't. I spend hours removing backgrounds, installing links, editing...all that was gone. No there seems to care or work very hard to make her file work. I was out at least $500 in apps, a theme and editing. Right now I haven't decided what I am going to do but I leaning towards trying to get my money back and stay with my Etsy store. Moral is don't trust the guru's so if you can't afford one then I wouldn't spend the money on a store...they will just screw it up for you.

On their web site, they state that the users can cancel their plan at any time. However, they did not mention that you don’t get your money back!
I paid for an annual plan 312$ years in June and decided des to close my store in August. After cancelling the plan, I inquired about the refund and they responded with ‘No, you had only 30 days to change your mind now it has passed the 30 days.’ So I paid 312$ with the service of 29$X 2 = 58$. They are keeping the 254$?!
Terrible customer service and not trustworthy.

Atrocious customer service. Not in the least bit flexible or willing to work with you to resolve technical issues or payment glitches. Credit card only for payment of your Shopify account. No flexibility, and they don't bother to tell you this in their Terms & Conditions either. I found out when my company's Visa Debit failed on the second month. They refused to allow me any other way to fix this short of magically conjuring a credit card out of thin air. Their customer service team is given false information to work with, and their Billings team is unashamed of the fact that they are responsible for this. Very, very dangerous company. I will not touch a Shopify site again.

There is a store named apmz that has a 15K camper for $187.00?? Obvious scam but how does shopify allow this kind of illegal fraud to be carried out on their website and not be held liable? Need to contact my State's Attorney General and have shopify shut down for good.
