Nonsense have a very well established credit rating and thought I'll apply for the card for convenience purposes, medical insurance and using card overseas but i get this email to say they cant open an account for me because of a restrictions which make no sense and what restrictions???
"As a bank, we have to follow strict legal requirements for every account we open. Unfortunately, occasionally this means we are not able to open accounts due to these restrictions. Due to legal constraints, we are not able to give you any more information at this time."

Account has been blocked for two weeks now. No explanation or any idea for how long. Only leave money In this bank what you can afford to lose. Because they will block it without warning and after that won't give you any information.

N26 closed my account for no reason whatsoever they also held onto my balance £691 without any explanation whatsoever I’ve emailed them at least 7 times and have been completely ignored.
How can this company get away with what there doing !! Stealing peoples money is a criminal offensive !!! I would advise all N26 customers to close there account immediately with this company as they will close your account for absolutely no reason whatsoever and hold onto your balance without explanation.
Holding onto my balance has caused me severe hardship and has prevented me from paying my bills !!!!

N26 makes banking very easy. Everything is in English, it's easy to set up an account, easy to get customer support and you get some free ATM withdrawals, which is valuable in Germany. I'm very happy with this bank so far. The only thing that could be improved would be the investment options, which are basically non-existent.

First I had a free account but now I have the platinum account, I really feel better than normal bank.
I spend a month over 250k to 500k euro with my account. This bank in Europe very good and amazing account .

Does not accept Portuguese citizen card for identity verification.
N26 should learn a bit more about the maning of the European Union and should not discriminate people based on their national citizen cards, especially within European Union citizens who live in Germany...
N26: As per your answer, I wonder which "strict" german or EU regulation tells you to ignore an EU National citizen Identity document for a citizen authentication...
You are deliberately doing citizenship discrimination in Germany and that's unacceptable. Outside of the EU I'm happy to use my passport. but inside the EU for sure it will not be some stupid N26 manager that will force me to use it...
Stay with your "strict" BS and wait until you get fined or sued... For sure the manager who took that business decision will not be there any longer by that time...

useless, they lost my money and I had to wait 5 months for them to pay me back for there own mistake. in the UK I literally had no say. don't touch them. £1800.00 !!! they apologised and offered me £10.00 as a ' gesture of goodwill'

I would suggest to any person who comes across The N26 Bank to take the step and obtain an Account with them, simply because at some point in Time you will find it was really a wise step. The ease of accessing funds, transferring and through N26's collaboration with TransferWise it makes your banking a fast proficient process you Will be pleased with. And, it is easy for others to transfer to your N26.

Great bank with a lot of innovating functions. I recommend it to everyone who don’t want to go to bank offices anymore but just want to arrange everything via the online app. Apple Pay works fantastic with a card from N26.

Finally a bank where things are easy and intuitive, i.e. modern. I am very satisfied with the options at N26, and looking forward to new options being set-up.
I am missing a shared account for me and my partner. In my opinion, the shared space does not give the same legal options as a real shared account.

It's a good debit account. You have to load money into it. After that, it allows you to use the card to make purchases. Some shots do not accept N26. Also, there isn't a way to withdraw money back into your bank account.

A bank you cant talk to isn't a bank. They hold my money and when something goes wrong I need to speak to somebody and not engage with people who give me wrong info via a stupid messaging app that keeps crashing.
They will tell you they are an online bank etc etc but starling is an online bank as well and 5heybhave excellent staff who talk to you on the phone.
I am closing this Mickey mouse account tonight after suffering the embarrassment of having my card refused twice in one evening
