Customer service does not exist
Insurance only valid if you pay for flights on card which is not a credit card so who would do that.
They show such contempt for customers
They should not be allowed a lisense in the UK
The lounge is always full to keylounge n26 customers so clearly its a low prioirty pass
I want refunds of all my monthly subscriptions as you have failed to provide a service
And you will come back with robotic response of saying you give 100% everyday.

Attempted to open an account but was declined. Have great credit rating, so can't be that. Opened a chat with customer service, but was told it was declined for 'legal requirements' No further explanation, and was told customer service could not help any further, or make an exception! I was not asking for an exception, I was simply asking for a reason. I have since opened with Monzo and they're great so far.

After 3 month of waiting they decide to close my account in 2 months and ask me to get my funds out , yet still freeze my acct I can’t transfer money out I have £3800 in My N26 but can’t get it out . Please what bank will tell you your acct is getting close and give you two month notice.
Please how long before I get my money out

I've been using their service for about 2 years and I've no complain. I get notification every time my card is used which is great. You can manage everything through their app. It's fab that you can also use it on google pay and make payments using your phone. Very poor banking experience indeed. Here are the reasons:
-Very very poor customer support. First, there is no way you can talk to a real person if you have a serious problem. The chat is a hit or miss. Most of the times, the chat support agent is not trained and does not know much about the issue you raised.
- They are terribly slow at responding to issues raised by email. After months of no replies and persistent requests for updates, they did reply back with "sorry for the delay; we had issues with our system". Really??!!
- The bank infrastructure has terribly poor security features. I requested umpteen times to have 2-Factor authentication on Twitter, by email, on Facebook and they never cared to consider. That said, money on an N26 account is at 100% risk to being stolen by hackers. There is not way N26 will become my default bank account. I use it for the convenience of seeing my payments in real-time (that's one pro), but that's the risk I take. I do a monthly standing order of a fairly small amount which I then use.
- The bank discriminates on nationalities: I think you try to follow some banking rules but I have no idea where these rules/restrictions come from. Because of my nationality, you said I could not use N26 Invest although you advertised the service is available in Germany. You failed to mention that you are picky on nationalities living in Germany. I contacted BaFin (no issues with my nationality). As a matter of fact, I was able to open my investment accounts with comdirect and Consorsbank. What rules you follow is beyond me. You need to review your policies.
Botton line: lots of poor experiences. Mobile app is great, but everything around it is really not in good shape.

There's plenty of people that have had their accounts locked away from them, whilst it hasn't happened to me yet I've now deleted the app and no longer use this bank. I tried to stop the annual Black card membership before it started but they took a few days to reply and since it was past the point of cancellation, they said I could either keep paying it monthly or pay the whole lot off. So that means I am unable close my account! Now I've received an email saying that I have a negative balance (which is the monthlymmembership) and that the email they sent to me would cost £3 which is ridiculous! They'll also suspend my account within 2 months if I don't pay it off. Go ahead! I won't be using you thiefs again.
AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!

Been using the black service for a few months now and the functionality is almost perfect.
The text alerts and the ability to create several savings pots are awesome.
And the benefits received are beyond what the high street banks would offer.
Would be 5 stars if they focused more on features like savings payees rather than apple pay.

A shambolic fraud of an organisation. Rejected application due to “legal reason” unable to give any more information - their support is rude, combative and confrontational. I would not trust this company to sort things out if they go wrong.
So disappointed; I really wanted them to come through - stick with the big banks - your money is more valuable than this shambles of a faux bank.

HORRIBLE customer support!!
Incompetent "support" people to whom I have to teach how banking works, then they just hang up on customers..
They randomly block accounts but still let money in, so it's trapped for weeks or god knows how long
They will NOT help you if you need help!!
Trying to close my account now and even that is problem!!

I’ve had a very positive experience with N26 so far. The account was set up very fast and I received my card in a few days. However, I have had no issues with the bank, so I’m not sure what their customer help services are like. The app is so fuss-free, you can set and change your PIN on the app and, best of all, you get push notifications exactly as and when money has entered or left your account, I personally love it at this moment in time.

They are very bad told me i have, contract for one year with the membership black metal card and cannot cancel when i request in a 1 day of that account activate.. I just want a free account but they take minus 14.90 pound, when contacted the chat again they told me to email them so they will cancell the fee or close the account but unfortunately they told me to pay All year fee and then close the membership i if I'm lucky enough stay clear from this fraudsters scammers no help at all from a chat or email sorry for the english

I think when it comes to electronic financial services, this challenger bank is the best by now. They offer good rates for foreign transactions, accounts are free of charge and for business customers there is a cash back of 0.1% for expenses. One of my returned direct debit was charged, and I think it is the weakest side of N26, other than this it is a very good bank.

Not a good start and not really ready for service.
The process of opening the account was slick and seamless using the cam on the phone to capture proof documentation needed, account number immediately available, very fast push notifications via the app of payments in and out.
The app (what there is of it) is slick and a couple of nice touches like swiping over the camera to blur out figures if your in a public place)
However this is where it breaks down a bit, despite stating on the website 5 - 14 days to receive your debit card (which already feels long compared with standard banks) after 14 days I get an email stating due to logistical problems it could be up to another two weeks, but hopefully not that long, at the end of the two weeks I complained via twitter got another email saying sorry they were having logistical problems it could be another week. So five weeks in and no sign of getting a debit card, given they don’t offer check books this makes the account pretty much useless.
They don’t participate in the account switch service (presumably they don’t want people leaving easily when they realise how atrocious their service is) which means you have to manually visit each of your DD,s and manually switch them to your new account ( a process I have stopped till I’m sure I’m going to remain a customer)
Once you do get DD’s into the account there is no way on the website or app to manage them or cancel them, if reports I have read are true you have to get a form, fill in details that are hard to get often involving you contacting the DD payee to ask for details, sign it and send it to support.
Given they are new into the market you may also find companies can’t accept them yet as a DD source although hopefully that will resolve its self fairly soon, so far about a third of my DD’s could not accept N26 as a source.
There is no way to manage regular payee’s that I can see.
If reports I have read are true, if you try to cancel your account until their service matures you are slapped with a lifetime ban.
I have read reports of payments (IN) being late or delayed in their systems meaning people default on their outbound payments for bills and mortgages.
They do not have a 24 x 7 customer service team and if reports I have read are anything to go by their support team have not been educated on the basics of customer service (although I have not experienced this first hand)
If you hold or want a euro account they can’t give you a second GBP account.
Despite the UK market feeling like a lack lustre launch was botched and still waiting for basics to be fixed like getting a card, systems working reliably, and basic banking functions still needing to be enabled, N26 have made big announcements of moving on to its next markets in Brazil and the US.
In summary - does not feel like a professional outfit, feels like a start up which is not what you want from a bank. I think they are trying to move when they are not ready. In my opinion they are not ready to take over as your primary bank, personally I’m just going to use them as a payment processor for some of my transactions. I started with plans to compleay switch my banking to them but I don’t feel like they are in any way ready for that. They need to do a lot of work on the customer service and realise they are dealing with people’s money, they WILL get mad if you fail to meet your obligations, that goes with the territory and being unable to answer questions in a knolagable way or closing chat windows before customers have finished is not going to win you and good will.
They need to review their lifetime ban policy when customers decide (probably quite justifiably) that N26 are not ready for service yet.
They probably should look at not charging yet even for their metal accounts until they really are truly ready to be called a bank with all the basic services.
They need to get to at least the basic standards of banking functionality, like managing payees DD’s and SO’s before they call themselves a bank.
They need to plan and evacuate launches much better than they did the UK.
In my opinion they need to form a customer opinion group and take notice of the feedback they are receiving.
Finally my advice by all means try them but don’t rely on them, and don’t make my mistake and sign up for their paid for service thinking you can switch to them, they are no way ready to be a bank.

The services that they offer are fantastic, but like many reviewers here, I had a terrible experience with their customer service. After that, I kept the card because the customer service got better so I gave them a second chance. Now, it has been 19 days since there has been a fraudulent transaction on my account. Cherry on the cake: I am temporarily abroad. They told me to wait for 12 days and explained why. I complied. I send them the dispute forms with the police complaint after the said 12 days. It has been more than a week now and still no response. I want to give them another chance, but how many times am I going to keep doing that? A great innovative banking idea, but very poor execution. Sadly, I will not recommend this bank just based on the fact that they do not take the unauthorized transactions seriously and are not able to reassure the client. I hope my unauthorized transaction will be re-credited back soon. Still waiting...

In withdraw money from my PayPal into N26 , they have my money suddenly they said the money was send to Barclays who will credit my PayPal, I contact PayPal with the code they couldn’t find the money , I contact Barclays they told me no such payment go back to N26 to find the money .. They can’t even contact Barclays , why should I contact Barclays ?why is the payment send to 3rd parties why not credit my N26 or send to PayPal... Fishy they trying to steal my money but this time

Have tried opening an account but APP is useless. When I try to login it tells me there is an error they will fix it in a sec??
Nothing you could sit for hours nothing happens.
Try login in again wow we are through to verification wheel spins...... and spins.....etc,etc.
Think you need to go back start again, which is unusual for Germans normally very high tech.
Won’t be getting my funds!!!!

Foolishly responded to free account link on an Instagram add that opened a ‘Free’ N26 account.
During sign up I was shown the shinny metal card as a card option......so selected the shinny thing .... a few screens later my free account was now £14.50 month, with sketchy details of benefits (lounge access sounded nice but lounge key had zero details online), so I stepped back and instead selected basic card and opened the free version of the account.
I received no emails or other correspondence and no card arrived basic or otherwise.
Months later N26 long since forgotten a shinny metal card arrives to my home..
Ok so I guess no one was willing to pay £14.50 for nothing and now everyone gets the metal one......still no such thing as free so I did some research and saw that others had experienced this..... key callout was make sure it’s inactive in the App
So I launched the N26 app and saw that Metal account was indeed active, so I immediately deactivated it.
So to be clear I did not order the metal card and then cancelled the card account I did not as soon as unordered card was unexpectedly received.
Now months later I logged into app because it showed a notifications.... since the card and account was inactive I was curious at the notifications, so sought to read them before deleting them.
They advised that I owed 2 x £14.50 to N26.....for the unordered card that was cancelled
So I used chat to get in touch....only available means for this bank.
Agent told me that since I did not cancel within 30 days I was now locked into a 12 month contract.
This is my worst ‘banking’ experience.
N26 is like going on a Tinder date with a stalker, sure you went on a date once but you ended the date in the first 10 minutes after realising their was no chemistry between you....
Meanwhile Stalky N26 went and told all its friends your dating and sent you a gift one month later that you did not return.......
So now N26 thinks your married.....
N26 even managed to get an online marriage certificate.........
sure you did not sign anything.... but N26 saw the way you smiled in that dreamy first date, plus you loved his gift..... so that must mean your married right?
On the plus side I doubt N26’s marriage certificate will stand up to legal scrutiny......... but sadly that won’t get your wasted time back.
Searching trust pilot I see many people were just sent the metal card and then had my above experience even when they ordered the basic card one..... if only I’d done more research before clicking that Instagram ‘FREE BANK ACCOUNT’ link.
You would probably not knowingly date a stalker so don’t enter into any form of interaction with N26, unless that’s your thing. In which case I hope you and N26 have a nice life together.
Plenty of decent online banks that offer the same but without the stalky extortion component. Monzo, Tide etc.

Stupidest bank to add a default german number to my account. I am not allowed to change it on app. Useless app since cant access with their german phone number assigned as my own!
Cant unpair my phone using Chrome. ZERO SUPPORT online after log in. So i resort to twitter for help.
Ask me to uninstall & reinstall app. Clear cookies on Chrome. Assuming all their customers are internet noobs.
When all fail. Throw me a support email so i have to rewrite the whole troubles N26 created.
Hellish time verifying to open account.
Then they forced a unknown number on your acc so U cant access it!
Prefer to be able attach picture proof to shame the hell out of these parasites call support staffs.
