My friend and I.( two single american girls)traveling in Morocco, we could have not asked for a better guide. Hassan was amazing. When we arrived he greeted us, took our bags to a lockedhotel room and let us relax over some peppermint tea before leaving forour camel trek start in evening around 5 , the camel ride was the highlights of our trip, i would recommend this company to everyone

My friend and I did the 4 day tour from Marrakech to Fez and it was definitely a highlight of our stay in Morocco. Our driver, Ali, was such a safe and considerate driver, and we never had a hairy moment, even though at one stage fog was creating near to no visibility - our car was also new and VERY comfortable.
We stayed at Skoura instead of Oaurzazate, and stayed at a lovely little place just out of town, and had one of the best meals we had on our trip (Chez Laila). The desert trip was amazing in it's own right, camel ride, tents, hiking up a sand dune at dawn and taking amazing photos. Hassam, ismail and co played some fantastic music and gave us a memorable night in the desert (some of which was stuck in my head for days!) and were fantastic hosts :) One day Hassan also showed us around the desert and it was great to listen to some desert blues, see some sights, and have berber pizza.
We paid the deposit upfront via western union, and there was no issue. We opted for the 'budget' accommodation and thought everywhere we stayed was great!
Thanks to Ali, Hassan and al the others who made this part of our trip so safe, relaxing and AMAZING.

Myself and 3 girlfriends decided to visit Morocco for 9 days during October half-term. We booked a 4 day (3 nights) trip from Marrakesh. We had a great driver who took us to some fab places with amazing views through the Atlas Mountains and the desert. The highlight or our trip was the night we spent in the desert. We were particularly lucky as it was only the three of us that night which made it extra special. The two guys who took us out to the desert were great and made sure we felt safe as well as having lots of fun. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a desert adventure but particularly if you are girls traveling alone and worried about going out alone in the desert. Thanks to Hassan and Mustafa our desert guides and Ibrahim our driver!

We (a group of 4 friends) booked a 3 day, 2 night tour from Marrakech to Fez which included a night in the desert at Merzouga. We travelled in a airconditioned 4x4 with a fantastic local guide. The tour takes you to all the famous spots along the way, such as the Ait Benhaddou kasbah which is by the way an awesome sight. We also spent a night in the desert and slept under the stars. Now I realise that this is a very, VERY popular tourist thing to do and honestly there is nothing local or authentic about the trip apart from the guides, but it was our first time in the sandy desert and it's such an amazing place... you forget you're surrounded by tourists.
I recommend you sleep under the stars instead of in the tent if the temperature allows it (they will give you thick blankets so you should be okay) and wake up in time to see the sunrise. You will feel you're the only one, even though the next city is just 30 mins by camel away ;)

We had an amazing time in Morocco with Morocco Excursions! An experience we will never forget. It started with Ali (our tour guide) collecting us from our Riad in Marrakech on a rainy Tuesday. After that the whole experience just got better and better. Ali drove us through snow (It was February) over the Atlas Mountains and then down in between the High Atlas and Anti-Atlas Mountains. We stopped off wherever required, so had plenty of breaks at some really interesting places (one of my favorites is Ouarzazate). He knew all the right places to stop off at so we didn’t waste time seeing the best sights. After that we stayed at Dades Gorge in an interesting hotel. It was a freezing night outside, so be prepared to take warm clothing if you go in Winter (and want to go outside), however the huge fire they had in the restaurant was lovely. The next morning Ali greeted us to take us out to the desert. We drove to the top of Dades Gorge and then went out to another Gorge, which was equally stunning. Take a big memory stick in your camera, because you will use it!
I think the most amazing part was the actual time in the desert. Ali’s great fun, so with the 4x4 we took an offroad route to get to Merzouga quick. Great fun! After arriving at the hotel in Merzouga, which literally is on the edge of the desert, I met the famous Hassan. Hassan sat down and talked with us over a cup of tea. He made it quite clear that we don’t need to take the kitchen sink with us, since we were only going to spend the night in the desert (we were on the 3 day excursion), therefore we really just needed something warm to wear if we choose to venture outside, as well as something for bed. Even though you’re in the desert, the sand doesn’t stick to you, so it’s got little chance of making the tents dirty.
The camels are great fun to ride, and the man who walked our camels the one hour to get to the tents was probably one of the fittest guys I know. He’s Aziz and wears flip-flops to walk up and down sand dunes. Doing that for 5 minutes for me is exhausting (and I run marathons), yet Aziz is able to do this for hours on end…. With flip flops.
We arrived close to our tents in the desert and spent the sunset snowboarding down the dunes (absolutely terrific fun) as well as photographing the amazing sun set you see there. After sun set, Hassan lead us down the dune to our tents. The actual tent layout consists of about 7 tents, all big. One of the tents is for dinner and I think 4 are for the guys working there (5 star service!). I guess that leaves 3 for guests to sleep in.
Dinner was freshly cooked and served by Hassan’s team. It’s unbelievable to have such nice food all that way out in the desert, followed by everyone, including some of the guys who prepared dinner joining us to sing some Berber songs for us. There’s an abundance of drums, which Hassan and his friends are very good at playing. We had great fun, and it was an honour to hear some genuine Berber music played live for us. A really special evening!
The sleeping tent has candles and plenty of blankets. It was probably one of the deepest sleeps I’ve ever had. No problems with scorpions or any other creepy crawlies, since they don’t come out in winter. Also there’s a few cats around that deal with any nasties like that. It felt weird for me to go to sleep in bed without first having a shower (since we had just been snowboarding down sand dunes), but as I said, the sand doesn’t stick on anything, so you’re clean just by patting it off. It’s true what Hassan said, the sand’s clean.
All in all, we had an incredible time. We enjoyed every single day, both the excursion and the warm company that joined us. We thoroughly recommend Morocco Excursions, and will happily join Hassan and his guys again. – Absolutely loved every minute of it.

if theres one thing in your life you just have to do, its this tour. I wouldn't even call it
a tour , its like your visiting old friends and they are showing you the jewel of their
backyard, which is the desert and sand dunes of Merzouga. The humble loving people
and my brother Hassan and Ibrahim, thank you for such an unforgettable journey in your
part of the world. Sleeping under the stars, to climbing the high sand dune, only to sit way above on top in the middle of the night with the moonlight, lighting the desert that looks like the ocean.
Your eyes and your soul can not believe you are here, so far away from the crazy rat race of a world we live in. And for those photography enthusiastics like me, you just cant stop taking pictures every view just takes your breath away, the changing of colors. I always love going back to Morocco its the best! Awesome tour company! Definitely highly recommend Morocco-Excursions to anyone travelling to Merzouga... Our guide Hassan Mouhou went above and beyond for us! My cousin and I have traveled quite a bit and I have to say, he was by far, the best guide we have ever had. He arranged so many things for us which were not a part of the original tour, our trip to Morocco would not have been the same without his help. Awesome value for money, beautiful accommodation and a real taste of true berber culture, much better than the big commercial tour companies! Contact Hassan and I promise you will not be disappointed..
