I’ve had nothing but a horrible experience. I’ve only had the device in my car for 1 week & I've been in twice already because of improper wiring. I was told the guy who originally installed it did a “half-a**” job. When told I was going to get a free month, I’d have to wait for higher ups to call me to verify that.

Following up with a second five-star rating.
While the technician was a few minutes late, I'm not one to stress over things over which I have no control. (I'll also add that his car was burglarized overnight, but he still made it to the shop and got the jobs done. I think his name was Ortiz ... I was impressed with his dedication.)
And again, while this is not the most pleasant of processes, y'all are making it bearable. I appreciate it.
Finally, can you help me with something? I was in permanent lockout prior to the app't due to a missed app't. I had checked all my paperwork, and found no notification. Also, the device didn't notify me seven days prior. I assume you can check the data and see that a date wasn't loaded into the device. In order to get back up-and-running, I had to pay $90. The technician said he would request a refund, because I had adhered to all requirements, but I thought I'd holler at you from here, too. Could you help me with that? I'd sure appreciate it.
Again, thanks so much for making these twelve months as painless as possible.

This agent was very rude and did help. I asked to have reporting email me my updated vehicle information to send to my lawyer for proof due to having the wrong state on my info. I was initally told a 3-5 business day to receive it. It is now 7 business days and I have yet to receive my info. Therefore, I called in to speak with someone and got this rude agent. I asked for a manager that would help but he denied saying there was no managers working. Agent even told me to try going to the centers asking to print my info although I already told him I did that and they could not. This agent was very rude and unhelpful.

Everything was fine until it was time to install... the guy doing the install was really nice, but the equipment was not functioning properly... therefore a job that should have taken 2hrs - took 3hrs- and it thru me off my schedule

This company is HORRIBLE. Customer Service is without a doubt the WORST I have EVER experienced. You'd think all the money they make for false positives, monthly fees & service fees they'd be able to afford a better system that actually detects food, drink & smoke from alcohol & actually be able to hire enough employees to actually handle the number of customers they need to serve. The machine was improperly installed Per MODERN CHEVROLET and has brought on my engine light. I had scheduled a service appointment on a Friday and MONITECH didn't give the tech's a code until 4 days later which was not needed by then & not too mention while they had my truck in the garage they missed a running test now I have 3 days before the lockout. Of course, getting someone on the phone to handle this mix up is impossible. DONT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE!!

The guy (I refuse to say gentleman) that gave me the rundown and I assume owned the place was very rude. He had a very nasty attitude and zero interest in being fair to the customer. Also, they are very unfair. The device is supposed to detect alcohol but will be set off by ANYTHING ( the owners words) and you will have to pay for it no matter what. Other companies will give you a chance to explain and waive the fee if you qualify. His business is a scam and when he gets told that he shifts blame to the state. Go to another company. They are cheaper and have a better customer service experience. This guy is a crook!

Fast, knowledgeable, and courteous staff. All questions answered in a plain and patient manner. Equipment appears to be in very good condition. I believe for an initial installation and training, in and out in under two hours was ideal.

Made an appointment and then was told I was there on the wrong day. After recognizing the mistake they said ok we fixed. The installer did not agree to the appointment that was set.
Ended up renting a car to go out of town since they could not meet my appointment.
15 calls to schedule an appointment.
When I call for an appointment I get hung up on or it takes 45 minutes.

Sick of it, period. To me, it's like Monitech is a money scheme. They do give you a list of what to eat and drink. Yet, no one tells you you cannot have an energy drink or cold WATER. Then, it's like the customer service pick and choose when a customer should pay the $45 fee. I pay my bi-monthly charges as scheduled. These $45 fees are ridiculous. For example: had a Monster energy drink on my way to work. FAILED my 3 minute running test with the code 4030. Had to pay $45. I had even got a WARNING from eating Sunway on my lunch break. Really? So the vinegar and oil caused that I guess. Yes, I smoke Black-N-Milds. On my way from Fayetteville to Durham. I FAILED a 3 minute test because apparently putting the cigar down and waiting until the 1 minute warning was not long enough. I had to pay $45. Now, just last week... 8/10/19. I drank cold water before I blew. It gave me an invalid reading. So, I waited until the 1 minute warning. Invalid reading again!!! So, I missed the blow in time. I explained what happen to the customer service lady and she gave me the override code FREE of charge. Now, just late ast night, approximately 1:15am 8/18/19. I locked my keys in my truck while it was running. Immediately called Monitech before the 3 minute warning. Let her hear the people and myself trying to get in to my truck. I missed the blow and had to pay $45 for an EMERGENCY situation. Why? Honestly, I have been given free codes before because Monitech knew of the issues I was having with their device: it was too hot, too cold, loose wiring, and device was just being faulty before changing it out. Yet, several times I had to pay $45 for the same codes. I even had to pay $45 after passing initial test and stopped to get gas. Because I was listening to music with my door open. The operator claimed is was gas fumes that probably gave the failed reading. Several times! Had me waiting at the gas station for 45 minutes. Really? After starting from initial test I have to wait 45 minutes from pumping gas!? NONE of these issues are given until they happen. I'm sure I'm not the only one. So why aren't these things mentioned? All these FAILED codes and none are alcohol related. I really do feel that NO ONE should have to pay for codes that are not alcohol related. Especially emergency situations. Furthermore, how does an operator chooses who needs to pay for the same codes? Cold water you don't pay but locking your keys in the car, you do. Doesn't make sense.

I had the device installed on my wife’s vehicle 24 hours ago. She encountered a service warning while driving to work. I have been trying to reach a customer service person for almost 3 hours now and have not been able to speak with anyone about this service warning. At one point, I was on hold for over an hour and gave up.

Untrained staff, incredible hold times and that awful recording!
"thank you for your patience, our operators are non-existent and we haven't answered a call all day. We will be with you as quickly as we can" Device threatening lock out? The unit "serviced" two days ago and no one picking up on a 24hr/7 day a week customer service line? I smell rip off. Have someone from Monitech call me. Me, a true customer service professional with decades of experience. Never once did a machine keep me from customer satisfaction.
