Poor poor company. Have listed an item, which had been listed for days at a very good price. Therefore, I placed several orders to recycle this phone, only for after a few orders, I was presented with a message saying that I can't access my account as an error has occurred.
I contacted customer service and they have stated that the price listed for the item was an error and has been rectified and they cannot provide a price for my phones.
Caused me a large loss as I actually purchased items to sell to them

Sent my phone off to this sham of a company. Was quoted £140. Got an email to say that it was cracked and they would offer me £70 instead. They told me to apply for compensation from Royal Mail.
Refused the offer and asked for the phone to be sent back after reading the reviews. Phone just arrived good as new !
Do not trust anything these people say! Avoid like the plague !!
Reading the reviews they do this a lot !

Was offered £120 for my iphone 6 then recieved a revised offer for £15 telling me the phone had a display problem, recieved it back and it was perfectly fine, but they also kept the charger and lightning cable along with original box. Avoid them at all costs and apple need to investigate

Would give No stars if I could. This is the first time trying this company through EE, and the fourth time I have recycled a near perfect phone. Sent it off and they’ve sent back a quote for half the original because of a cracked screen (picture they sent doesn’t show a crack!!) and a damaged case (my phone has spent it’s life in a outer case so that’s just rubbish). I will go back to using Mazuma who have not once ripped me off in all the times I have used them. I would ask for the phone back but suspect it wouldn’t come back to me in as good condition as I sent it off in! Will be complaining to EE and Brightstar in the morning.

Was quoted £276 for my iphone 6 128GB. It's in perfect condition and has never come out of it's case since i bought it. Got an message today saying it had been received but the offer has been reduced to £211 as "Apple iPhone 6 128GB - Enclosure is bent"
i phoned them to request where the bend on the devise was, as i'd sent the phone in with the case still on to protect it during transit. Also if the device was bent the phone wouldn't fit the case anymore.
They offered to send it back with a technical report of the device. Waiting to see what their report says and show where the bend is.
I get the feeling this business uses the quote to suck customers in, then reduces the offer in the hope that most people won't ask for their device back.

I found a comparison website and mobile phone exchange offered the highest amount for my iPhone 5c. The packaging arrived the next day and I posted my phone the day after that. I received an email 2 days after that and the exact amount of money I was initially offered was paid into my bank 2 days after that. Just under a week to compete the whole transaction. Excellent service and I would use again.

I sent an iphone5S 16GB
And surprise surprise the same as the majority of others on here a cracked screen.
Nothing when I sent it was wrong with it just cosmetic scratches.
In a nutshell.....
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS FIRM

Whenever i have sent them any phones I have always received the amount they quoted. Not sure why others have received different service but the phones i send are most of the time brand new. My advice would be to always send with special delivery if the phone is worth a bit. I sent one with the free option and it took about 7 days for them to receive it.

I have been sent a photo of a completely undamaged screen, claiming that it is damaged. I have been offered £68 for a phone in excellent condition, in perfect working order. Seriously avoid this lot.

I was offered less than 50% of what they initially quoted, due to incorrect claims (like it was locked to a network, which wasn't true), so I asked for my phone to be returned.
I was, after chasing them several times, told it had been recycled already 'by mistake'. They finally paid up one day before I was talking them to the Small Claims Court - avoid them, they give incorrect reasons for reducing the price - it took over a month to get this resolved, with many mails and calls.

I received offer of £150 for my Microsoft Surface over double any other site. Was a bit worried when I sent it in and offer was reduced to £0 given it was in near perfect condition especially given negative reviews.
Phoned them up and polite lady explained it was an admin error in warehouse and that I'd get full amount in 3 working days and that turned out to be the case

Similar to other unhappy customers, I was lured in by the attractive quote and foolishly forgot to check the reviews.
The company are running a complete scam! I sent in my perfect condition iPhone 5S and was offered £155 however this was reduced to £77 after inspection by their 'experts'. The stated the reduction in price was due to a cracked screen, however the photo they attached to the quote showed my screen in perfect condition.
I phoned them up to demand my phone to be sent back free of charge and fortunately I have received it in good condition.
Please avoid this company at all costs!

I've used a few mobile recycle companies , o2 , Tesco , Envirophone but Mobilephone exchange are without doubt the worst i have ever dealt with .
They offer the best online price and then deduct anything they see fit for minor blemishes ..i received roughly half the online price as it had slight damage on the top metal ( scuffs) and it did not have a rear cover ...well it did , it had an official samsung protection cover ( front and back ) - the phone was in perfect working order and no screen marks at all ...never again will i use this company

This was the fourth time I have used mobile phone xchange and it will be the last. Not sure what has happened to this company but all my previous exchanges have been positive receiving my money or vouchers to the full value within two to three days as promised. This time I sent my iPhone 5 special delivery and received an Argos voucher card. I then received an email saying they had inspected the phone and they found a minor crack and they were reducing the value by £11. As it was only £11 I said fair enough and I wasnt going to argue it. I was also told on the email that the Argos voucher card that was sent previously would be available with the amount by the Friday, this was on the Monday. I waited till Sunday before taking a trip to Argos as I decided I would use the voucher to get my sons Christmas present. After choosing the item and proceeding to pay with the Argos card I was then told by the staff that the voucher had no value on it. I phone Argos card service and they told me I would have to contact MPX which I had to wait till the Monday as they were closed on Sunday so I left the store not very happy. I then spent the next week phoning MPX several times trying to get a explanation but was told it would be on the next day. After nearly two weeks and still no credit on the voucher I told them to either send me the money direct to my bank or send back my phone. I then received the money in my bank the next day. This whole experience was exhausting and left me out of pocket with all the phone calls I had to make.

Like a lot of other people, I have now experienced this company.Sent my fully working Iphone 4s after being offered £57 on their website, only to be told it's worth £2 because there is supposed to be water damage, casing problems and the touch screen is not working. This is total rubbish - the phone was working perfectly 5 minutes before I put it in the box to post to them. I've asked them to return the phone but hope it doesn't come back in the state they described it to be in! I have complained to Hertfordshire Trading Standards about the company and would strongly urge others to do the same. It's the only way to get them shut down.

Stated they hadn't received my phone, when gps shows it arrived.
I could have gotten £90 elsewhere and wish I had.
Like many others they will lie and say they did not receive anything or claim to have received a damaged phone and offer you less.
This is a highly suspicious and fraudulently operating company, I am surprised they are still trading.

My iPhone 4 16gGb was pristine for a four year old phone. It had been kept in a case with a screen protector and had no scratches or dents. It did have some rub marks on the back of the phone from the case and that was it. I sent it off and have just been told it's been valued as £0 instead of the £58 quoted due to water damage! It's never even seen water!! This site is a complete con!!

Received a quote of £120 for a brand new iPhone 5 64gb. Sent my phone in as part of the Samsung Trade-in deal to get double the value in vouchers. Three weeks later I'd still not heard from them and tried to email. The email bounced back. Tried again. Bounced back again. Tried from another email. Another bounce back. By this point I was very concerned and contacted Samsung. After being shoved from pillar to post, they contacted Brightstar on my behalf.
While waiting for a reply, I received a revised offer of £0 from Brightstar due to (and I quote) 'LCD works OK?,LCD isn't all white or all black?'. They enclosed two photos, neither of which showed any damage, nor did they actually show an iPhone 5. They instead showed very clearly a black tablet with a working screen.
Samsung asked me to call Brightstar / MPX directly, which I did, to find that there had indeed been a mistake. In fact the offer was all of £30 and was due to a failure of the LCDs. In the same photos, which they refused to admit were not of my phone, they insisted there was a yellow or green or blue line around the edge showing that the LCDs weren't working properly. No. No it doesn't. If you can't tell whether the colour is yellow or blue, then you need to accept that there is not a line there. I can also confirm that there was no line around the screen on my phone when I sent it in, either.
I've rejected their offer and asked for the phone back. At this point I expect them to have stamped on it just to make sure I don't get a better offer. I will NEVER partake in an offer that uses Brightstar, MPX or any renamed version of their company. You can call it what you like, but a foul company is a foul company.

I was quoted £110 for my iphone 4S which was in perfect condition. I paid £7 to post it to them, and they offered me £24 and said it had water damage, which is frankly a load of bo****ks! I said no and asked them to send the phone back, within an hour I had another email stating they can increase their offer to £54!!!!! I said no, please send the phone back which they are doing. i asked them to refund the £7 postage and they said they couldnt, so I am £7 down due to these con artists!

I sent my phone back using special delivery through the EE recycle service. I paid £7.15 for me postage. The parcel was guaranteed before 1pm the next day and after checking online I could see the parcel had been signed for as received. 9 days and 3 phone calls later and I have just received an email to say that the touchscreen wasn't working...I only got the phone last month through clone phone!!! They have offered me £50 which I am going to refuse as the initial amount quoted was £100. I am disgusted, there was absolutely nothing wrong with my handset when it was sent, this company are absolute con artists and I would advise going to another company instead. I will be writing to EE, Mpx, Watchdog and Trading Standards regarding this matter.

Sent my Samsung Galaxy S3 which was in perfect condition to these bunch of cowboys, only to find out via My Account (not even an email) that the display screen was, according to them, damaged. It was posted on 21 Oct in double bubblewrap inside a padded jiffy bag, and l used Special Delivery. Have emailed them and told them l want further information and also to send the phone back as l can claim for damage from the Post Office.
Wish l'd read all the previous reviews, used this company a couple of years ago and it was fine, but this really takes the biscuit.
Do not use them.

I recycled my phone with EE recycle, as I have been an EE/tmobile customer for many years so trusted them, as I came to realise they actually use MPX (mobile phone exchange) and if I had known this I would not have sent my iphone to them. I was quoted £130 for my iphone 5 that was in excellent condition, you wont be surprised that they requoted £65 as the screen was damaged and it would not power up! Power up? I have never ever had a problem with this handset. They are liars and con artists and I am shocked that they havent been closed down yet, it is shocking behaviour!! Please please STAY AWAY
