I was so happy to discover this service. I signed up for the intro 3 months for $15/month package. Install and setup was easy enough. Unfortunately, that's where the honeymoon ended. Since I've had this service (which runs on the T-Mobile network), I've NEVER been able to receive a call - they always go straight to voicemail. I've worked with MM customer service and followed a million different steps to re-start, reinsert SIM, etc. for almost the entire first month. I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy J3V phone; apparently, not all Verizon LTE phones are compatible with this service, something I wish I'd learned BEFORE I signed up. Discontinuing service and signing up with Red Pocket. SO disappointing. :-(

I am now on my second month with Mint Mobile. My reception is better than what I had with Sprint. No issues whatsoever. Followed all of their directions in setting up the phone and it was effortless. I brought over my phone number and it took just seconds. I have read whee others said they could not send text messages with pictures. They give you directions to follow to change those settings and if you follow the directions there will be no problems. LOVE MINT MOBILE and the

Mint does not work for me any longer.
The service seemed to be better when I was on my first 3 month trial. After I purchased a six month plan the service became increasingly hard to deal with.
My phone will stay comnected to 4G for a max of about 5 minutes then disconnect for about 5 minutes. Sometimes calling and texting doesn't work at all, and like others have reported I have calls go straight to VM.
Service is much better when I am in a big, heavily populated area like the city. But when I am travelling on the road or when I am home in my rural country home just outside the city I have the worst service I have ever experienced. My partner uses T-Mobile and has NO PROBLEMS with her comnection at our house at all.
Considering switching back to [email protected] They are doing a 1/yr 8GB a month plan for a one time $300 payment.

Horrible! Huge mistake. The WORST customer service in the world. Was sold a faulty phone that we're unable to use. The service itself is garbage. We are constantly dropping calls. Can't get a refund. I hate this carrier.

I would like to say that the first 3 mo. was great when I was in Wa state and I had a cell tower about a mile away in my small town of Cosmopolis . I renew and up-graded to the 8 gig plan and returned home to Grand Rapids Mi. and the problems started, just like all the other reviews with the reception, calls not received, calls going direct to VM and very low signal bars all the time. But this is not the big issue I have with Mint Mobile, I called customer service and ask if when I return home to GR could I port my phone # back to my home landline and get another number for a replacement and they said no problem. Well I returned home I ported my number back to my landline and then requested a new number, but it turns out I can not do that and my account was cancelled and I had just renewed for a charge of 240.00 and I can not get my money back

I have had many top of the range mobile phones over the years, paying top price sometimes $800/$900. Recently I have been doing some research for my next phone upgrade as my Samsung is a bit out of date and lacking many of the the newest features, especially in the camera department.
Obviously I checked the latest Samsung, along with the new Google. Also checked out the new Appo, all great phones, but all costing around $1000 to $1300 very expensive. So I was ready to pay the big bucks for the big apps. That was until quiet by chance there was a 20second advert on tv showing a phone called Minty. Never heard of it. But what did catch my attention was Australian made. So I googled it straight away, and I was blown away. Here was a list of four phones varying in price,so I went straight to the most expensive,$399 the
Minty y3. I read the specs of this phone and was blown away. This phone was amazing. Not only was it competitive with all the other phones, but in some areas it was far superior.
After reading this,I checked another review, and then a vision of someone opening Thier package, the phone looked fantastic, and came with all the expected stuff, charger, ear phones, even a case, and screen cover.
I ordered my Minty y3 straight away that night and because it's Australian made, received it within two days.
When I received it I was blown away. It's so well made. Heavy, but only in the way that shows is well made. The size 6.2inch screen is brilliant, sharp crisp, colour is brilliant.
This is the first phone that the finger print identification really works every time, brilliant. The camera is the best IV ever used. You can get shots in the most darkest of places,I don't think there is really anywhere you can't get a photograph with this phone. Another thing I love about the camera is,it stores all the geographical information with the picture. That is,where it was taken, the date ,time, and of course the beautiful
There is just to much for me to write here in this review about this brilliant phone, except Buy One. This is without doubt the best phone on the market to day. I guarantee if you buy this phone you will be amazed with it's performance, and price.
But don't be put of by the price,it may be only $399 do the Minty y3 but the costs are cut down due to the company working solely through the net,no over heads. So some of the more expensive brand phones bought through say Amozon will cost a third of the price in the shops.
I can't recommend this phone enough.
Don't just trust what I've said, look it up on Google, you won't find a bad review any where.

Just canceled mint mobile. Never get any text messages or if i get it, they're delayed. Sometimes no phone service at all. Incoming calls sometimes go straight to the mailbox. I paid for roaming to use the phone in Europe, but I had no internet, no calls, no messages. Bad bad service. Very disappointed customer

I'm still a mint mobile customer because I can't afford anything else. They are cheap but the service is bad. I constantly Miss calls because my phone will not ring. The calls just go straight to voicemail. Their advice was to buy a new phone. You get what you pay for.

If you use the Company do not set up auto payment. They will continue to bill you even after you cancel Service, and it will take 45-60 days to get a refund.
If you rely on your phone for Business, DO NOT USE MINT MOBILE

Their SIM card won't work abroad. Moreover, it doesn't work despite they advertise it shall work if int'l roaming is on. To "turn it on" you'll pay $5 to $20 and say good bye to that amount. Despite not working roaming, technical support that can't figure out "2+2" for a week, they will not refund you anything. They will even find time to send a screenshot from Terms and Conditions but not a refund.
Local service is crappy but at least shows some signs of life from time to time.

I was excited to give it a try, after been with a big carrier for years and spending hundreds of dollars I decided to switch, unfortunately my sim didn’t work so I called customer service and after waiting for them to fix the problem their answer was that it was that a ticket was created and I should wait 24 to 48 hrs, I can’t wait that long, I already waited for my SIM card to get here and now I have to wait longer? I’m in the real estate business and my phone is how I make my living, when I told him that I couldn’t wait they didn’t give me any solution so I am about to put a refund request and get a prepaid line from another carrier. Absolutely not happy about it.

Just a continuation of the Mint Mobile travel saga. I have been without my US phone number for nearly a month now. Google is shutting me out of everything because I cannot verify my account which is of course linked to my US phone number which is on Mint's service. I cannot access my backup email. I cannot get SMS texts, I cannot receive or make phone calls via my US number. I'm paying for three months of service in advance and I have nothing in return. Customer service piddles along and contacts me every 4 or 5 days by email and updates me that they don't know what the problem is.
Update Sept 6 '19.
Now AirBnB is locking me out of my account because I don't have a working phone. Lovely.

Awful experience! I ordered online a 3-Month Prepaid SIM Card. In the order receipt email my address was the correct one, but when I received the email confirming the shipment I noticed that they had sent it to a different address. No idea how they can mess up with something like this, do they transcribe addresses manually? I informed immediately the company about this problem but I got no reaction. Not surprisingly, I never received the shipment. I will try now to get the money back, but it seems that reaching customer service will be difficult.

I paid for a year subscription. When I received the SIM card it didn't work so I requested a refund. After doing a little research I thought perhaps I could get the SIM card to work so I emailed Mint Mobile to cancel the refund request and attempt to activate my phone. After numerous emails and support messaging attempts I received no response other than an email confirming they received my message. So I have now resubmitted my request for a refund and will be reporting whether or not I actually get my refund. I have also been notified my refund will be minus $27 for shipping and handling that was suppose to be free.
Mint Mobile did contact me as they said and promptly gave me my full refund thus honoring their free shipping claim. Thank you to Mint Mobile and I hope you will continue to improve upon your customer service. I will now add two stars to my rating.

I havehad my mint sim for less than 24 hours and I can't receive calls or messages from people using AT&T. I've noticed that people mostly gave a bad a review on the delay in receiving messgaes and how slow it is with no service sometimes. I'm very disappointed and upset because I shouldn't have to be dealing with this. PLease fix this issue you have or you'll keep losing customers.

Many Calls don't come through. Some Voice mail message comes up 45 minutes after call. I am on call for child protection services. This is dangerous. Text messages and Hang outs messages delayed sometimes, sometimes for days. Now stuck with this for a year?

I've been a customer since February '18 with a brief 3 month break earlier this year when I switched to Tello (bad call) and then switched back in June. It wasn't bad for the first 3 months, but since then, their service has been INCREDIBLY spotty in zones where their map indicates I have full coverage. My phone is constantly dropping calls, missing texts, getting voicemails from calls I was never notified of. I already did the "let's talk to a mint agent for 30 minutes and take out/reinsert our sim etc etc etc and get nothing fixed" thing so I'm done. I'm moving on to one of the big providers where I know their coverage map will reflect reality.
Message to Mint: FIX YOUR COVERAGE MAP. Seriously. I go from Syracuse NY to Rochester NY and many towns in between all the time and the coverage is very spotty. If you're honest with your customers, then they'll choose you if it works for their area rather than having a thousand angry customers that aren't getting the coverage they were promised.

Bought this SIM after reading all the poor reviews online. Did not experience any of the problems experienced and travelled in obscure regions like the islands of North Carolina. Coverage excellent. Customer service handling questions very professional and courteous. My road trip from Los Angeles to New Orleans to Tallahassee to North Maine where a few connections poor. Not in the cities though. Would buy again no quibble.

Total scam!!!!! My family really wanted Mint mobile to work but it was awful coverage, like dial up internet speed awful when I was supposedly on 4G. So, being 2 days into my free, guaranteed free trial, I contacted them. They hide your account number so you're required to call, unless you want to give up your phone number.
First call, super long wait, finally get though talking to the first guy, he transfers me because he's not authorized to provide my account number, and after 30 min of being on the phone and being asked twice for a good call back number if we were disconnected, the 2nd guy I was talking to hung up on me! Wow, really?!?!
So I call back, immediately hung up on again. So I call again, this time get Juan #1817, he pretended he was going to transfer me to a supervisor but even after supposedly having me on hold for 20+min, with no hold music so was really just him sitting on mute waiting, he hung up on me too!
I've tried calling FIVE more times and they just flat out refuse to even give me my account number. Haven't even asked for my money back... So mad and can't believe I was dumb enough to pay for a full 12 month plan!

After a successful 7 day trial, it all went downhill. None of the 4 sim cards given to us across the next several months worked. Then, we were stonewalled on a refund for the prepaid plan that we never received any service for. Terrible!
