First visit to M&C steak house (Bagshot) and highly recommend, Polite staff and quick service. would definitely visit again.

Booked a table for our Wedding anniversary and cheekily requested booth seating. Having never been wasn’t sure if this was even available.
We did book at prime time (Saturday night 20:30) so the place was busy but we got some comfy seats near the bar and were told it would be about 15 minutes before a table was available. This was with an apology and genuinely delivered to.
After around 10 minutes we were escorted to a booth and wished a happy anniversary and from there on the night just got better and better.
The food here is fantastic, if you’re really into properly sourced, prepared and cooked to perfection Steaks then this absolutely for you.
Every element of our order was put together with truly expert advice from our waitress Gosia, whose knowledge of steak was absolutely phenomenal.
So the food is exceptional and the service we received was equally as magic. Gosia was an absolutely amazing waitress, invisible when dressing the table between courses and available when needed. Her knowledge of the menu was exactly what you need when faced with such a mighty expanse of options!
All in all, this has been a truly fantastic night and a perfect way to celebrate, I can’t thank the staff at Miller & Carter Bessacarr enough for making our night magical.

Can’t comment on the food or drink- we didn’t get offered any. Service is appalling. Shown to a table and given menus and we waited and waited.... those that arrived after us were served but not us. After 20 minutes we gave up and left. I spoke with the manager ‘Steve’ on the way out as he was fiddling with the tills (as he was on our way in). He did apologise and said he would send someone to take our order- too late as we were leaving and frankly not a clue about customer service.

For my birthday meal, my wife booked a table for 8:15 at the restaurant in Ruislip, as we had previously had a very good meal there. There were 5 of us, husband and wife, adult step son and twins boy and girl of 17. We arrived in time and had to wait before being shown to our table.
The first issue we had was that the waiter (whose English was not very good) asked for id from my son who is 17, when he asked for cider. He stated loudly that the policy of the restaurant was not to serve anyone under 18 alcohol, even though legally my son and daughter could have alcohol with their meals. I found this strange as in another restaurant of this chain, he was served cider, and also at our previous visit to this restaraunt. I ordered a Guiness which he stated they did not serve, strange again as I had this on my last visiti.
We ordered champagne and other drinks. He returned with the drinks and got one drink incorrect. Also this restaurant does not serve Guiness. We had our champagne and a few minutes later the manageress, came to the table and spoke in what could be termed as an "aggressive tone" accusing my son of drinking alcohol, stating that it was restaurant policy not to serve alcohol to under 18s and that we could be asked to leave. This was totally not true and my wife politely pointed out that he had ordered coca cola and had definitely not had alcohol.
The other issues were food related. Can you believe a steak house on a Sunday not having steaks available? And this a supposedly upmarket restaurant. could not order their 50day aged steaks, - apparently run out. Neither could my daughter order a lobster side.
What an experience to have on what should have been a nice outing. Service with a frown, lack of food availability and a policy that does not encourage families with teenagers to want to spend their time and money.
Would I visit this restaurant again? NO. Would I recommend this restaurant to my friends and colleagues? NO. In fact speaking to a colleague who lives near this restaurant and is a frequent patron, he too remarked that he recently had a poor experience where he was served cod that had been re-cooked.
I would not be surprised if in future this restaurant closes down as their service goes down the drain.

Gave a Miller and Carter gift voucher as a 21st birthday present. Refused to honour topcashback refund. Would not have bothered with it if i knew this. Over priced and if not careful will end going the way of Jamie Oliver's empire.

Absolutely shocking customer services at Miller and Carter Solihull. We booked for my granddaughters 21st. No one said she’d need ID. Balloons were on the table, presents, cards with 21, she wearing a sash with Happy 21st.Went to order her cocktail she was asked for ID at the table to prove that she was 21 (remember you can legally purchase at 18!!!!, where her Mum , Grandparents and Aunts are present. The waitress refused to take her order or to serve her a drink. This shocked us and the Manager backed up her staff, understandably. No common sense. Do they seriously believe that we would book a 21st celebration just to get a drink for a minor. We left the restaurant. My Grandaughters' birthday has been ruined. If this was an issue why not notify at the time of booking. We are saddened and very 😡 shocking behavior. We will not be visiting there again and my Grandaughter who frequented there regularly and wanted us to share her great experience was very distressed.

I’ve had good experiences at miller and carter and bad ones, steak over cooked, waited an hour for mains, food was cold. I had prawn and lobster cocktail for starter but their was no lobster at all! Get drink orders wrong.

Visited Miller and carter lancing with our friends tonight and must say what a superb evening we had.
The food was delightful and the service provided by verity and sam was spot on.
On getting up to leave was spoken to by I assume the manageress who asked if our meal was okay and we spoke about her staff tonight and she was very proud of her team and was genuinely interested in our comments.
Would recommend to anyone.

Absolutely appalled at the treatment and service we received when visiting this restaurant on the weekend. It was our first time visiting the Bournemouth branch - and being regular visitors of the Poole Miller & Carter we were very excited to get stuck in to a lovely steak.
There were four of us out celebrating my partner's 30th birthday. We arrived and gave a birthday cake & candles to the front of house, who then sat us down at our table. Around 5 minutes later, the woman who served us said they were not going to serve us any alcohol - we said fair enough, but all agreed to stay and order our meals with soft drinks.
My friend and I popped outside for a cigarette. We came back in around 10 minutes later. The same woman (not sure if she was the manager or just front of house) came over to tell us that they had now decided not to serve us our food. We had been there for around half an hour in total, ordered our food & drinks, and made no attempt to argue the fact they would not serve us any alcohol. So it was a complete shock that they were asking us to leave!!
Upon leaving, i asked the woman for the birthday cake and candles and she refused. I then asked for her name which she also refused to give me. I have never been so disgusted. A complete lack of customer service and very unprofessional. This would never happen at our usual Poole restaurant. Will never go there again what a joke. My partners 30th birthday was ruined because of this experience and we have not even had an apology!

If I could select 0 stars I would. Mitcham Miller and Carter completely ruined my birthday. I had booked a table and 5 of us turned up on time. There were 2 people running late due to traffic from West Ldn to South, (Bank holiday Monday) which we informed the restaurant. They continued to rudely tell me that they cancelled my booking due to the two being late although I was there dressed up ready to celebrate my birthday. The staff had the most disrespectful attitude I have ever received in a restaurant. I would understand if I was late because I had booked the table or if only 2 people had turned up but we all came from far just to be declined! The funniest thing is when I booked the restaurant a few people declined the invite and told me to AVOID this place due to their own awful experiences with Mitcham Miller and Carter. The manager was just as bad as the staff on the front desk with their spiteful disgusting disrespectful attitude. I will NEVER be stepping foot inside this place again. They lost out on over £200 last night for what? To prove a little point Absolute pigs. Never again.

Always love M&C in Cardiff Central and Bay. always great steak and sauces and well priced for quality and atmosphere. Would say though that last time I went to the Bay restaurant the fillet was gristly which was the first time that has happened in the 5 years I've been going there. Five stars for the good times so far though :)

Used to be the best pub in the area till this shambles of a company took over! I have Bipolar, PTSD, and minor Tourettes (telling the truth in a loud voice). I am registered disabled but was banned from my local by a South African immigrant who returned home under a cloud of debt (why we let these 'people' in is beyond me?) Backed up by his horrible Northern Restaurant manager who is now in now in Charge! Received an apology from Mitchells & Butler but have no intention of returning. A horrible place full of obese snobs stinks the area out with the smell of murdered animals! House up for sale!

Food amazing cooked really well. Waitress that served us was very efficient. Unfortunately the clientele of the establishment was more like a harvester/Toby. When spending over 150 on a meal very disappointing. To be very pedantic dessert served with dessert spoon and soup spoon at least have 2 the same even if you don’t know the difference .

Very good menu / food and wine choice. Service was a little slow and waited 15 minutes for a drink to arrive. However, I attended the Banbury M&C and I clearly remember seeing a note regarding a smart dress code. However, they let chavs in wearing tracksuit bottoms and a football shirt. If you have a rule to keep out noisy riff raff, stick to it. Steaks still brilliant though 👍

Steer well clear of the branch in Cardiff bay!! They use the cheapest cuts of beef. It's absolutely shocking!! My wife was really upset we'd wasted our limited time away from the kids to spend at this restaurant who couldn't even cook a steak. Never going back!!

Had a great night here my wife and I could not ask for a better night the food was cooked to perfection. I had a T bone and my wife had the chicken and the staff could not of done any more for us. That good we even booked for Christmas day.

Miller and Carter at mirfield is exceptional. A beautiful dining experience that me and my girlfriend have enjoyed multiples of times. The staff are warm and friendly and the food is to die for. Would recommend every time.

Miller and Carter Its simply unfair to be served poor quality food with a smile by a waitress who had impeccable mannerisms & probably takes care in her work.
Having eaten a meal for two at Millers (BEDFORD) we both felt groggy over following 48hrs, nothing serious ..Keep Calm & Carry On I suppose, however we complained to manager Anthony, he Just didn't seem to care. I will never go there again.

Have just returned from a business trip and visited Miller And Carter on the Bedford Riverside twice.
Without a shadow of a doubt this is the best M&C I have ever visited and is leaps and bounds above past experiences.
Right from the start we had amazing service from Anthony, not the basic service of someone 'just doing their job' but someone who genuinely seems to enjoy people and the experience you have in the restaurant. There was also a huge difference in atmosphere. We always have that feeling that we're not fully welcome or dont quite fit in when we visit our local (Bournemouth) branch whether we're asked to remove a cap or that I dont look like I have money to spend I dont know but the welcome in Bedford has restored my faith in the company, all thanks to Anthony. He may already be part of the management team, we didnt ask, but it will be a clear progression for him if not. From 20 years in retail management if I was still in that field this is exactly the type of employee that I would be headhunting or recommending to company bosses. The management team should be very proud of the set up, team and environment they have obviously all worked hard to create.
Food wise we had to chop and change our meals a lot (due to a new diet) and nothing was too much trouble for them on either visit. The food itself was amazing! Again this was easily the best we have eaten in your restaurants.
Thank you for making our stay much better and I look forward to returning!
