Mixed review- looking forward to a family meal to try the newly refurbished miller and carter at Herne bay, this was previously a harvester.
Food was great, very expensive.
However my biggest problem was that I arrived with my family Inc my autistic 14 yr old son told he could not eat there as he was wearing a track suit. We were allowed to eat on this occasion but this had upset my son he had taken it personally as the conversation had been directly to him. Just need to add there were others in the restaurant that had ripped jean, pants hanging out the back however this was acceptable.apparently designer.

Miller & Carter Washford Mill - We had the most delicious, perfectly cooked 3 course meal.
Sarah, our waitress, was very attentive and efficient.

The ambiance of this restaurant is very nice. Friendly and helpful staff, but woefully let down by the quality, and quantity of the food. As well as Higher Management. I visited this restaurant with my girlfriend on the 10th of November 2019. I opted for the steak, whilst she decided the MINT & GARLIC LAMB RUMP
Served with dauphinoise potato, chorizo, cauliflower, peas and a rich bordelaise sauce was right for her. The presentation of the meal was woeful to say the least. The lamb was not only small but very fatty leaving only a very small portion edible. This was accompanied by vegetables, but not vegetables as we would normally expect them to be. Instead they were very small pieces of mixed vegetable, I guess they call this chorizo, horrible presented as a sickly mess with hardly any bordelaise sauce. The cost of this meal including a small rump steak for me and one drink each came to £84-00 not a cheap or reasonable. I wrote to Customer Service on the 11th of November to complain, to this date nothing has been received from them. I guess that shows just how much they really care. Over inflated prices and poor quality food. Personally I’ll not be eating here again anytime soon. Especially when there are so many restaurants there that do offer quality food at a reasonable cost.

recently tried to contact Miller and Carter in Edinburgh (Cramond Brig) to book a table. I was unable to speak with anyone as the phone just kept ringing out. I eventually left a message requesting that someone could get back to me. this never happened. Poor show really. I have now booked another Restaurant instead.

Went to M&C on the A23 Brighton. Staff were young girls who were friendly and tried to be helpful. I'd been dying to try this Steakhouse chain but wish I'd not bothered !!! I decided upon the 50 day aged Black Angus Ribeye. I asked "Is it really tender" and was told "Yes" When It arrived it was tough, sinuey. I stuggled with it but gave up and ended up not eating it. I don't complain and send things back, I just pay up and vow not to return. M&C are not cheap and therefore customers should expect the finest quality. I will not be going to another branch. I was extremely disappointed. Even so I left a "service" tip. I must be mad ! My advice is avoid, sorry.

I was given a £30 voucher for my birthday and received the voucher, I then changed phones by upgrade and lost voucher when I tried to transfer things to new phone. I contacted them and have had no correspondence. I sent them the proof of purchase and they know the voucher hasn't been used, poor service and customer relations. 😡😡😡

I went with my son on a Sunday to try it for the 1st time. I asked for 2 differnt mains but they didnt have the ingredients so i asked for a starter but told the same. 3 meals they couldnt provide which were on the menu.
I ended up having 2 starters.
I wont be going back though my son enjoyed his food.
The half lobster consists of 5 small forkfulls for £8 = ridiculous pricing for what you get.

Dining at Miller & Carter - BEACONSFIELD
Ordered my 8oz rump, which I expected to look a bit chunky looking but it was a thin as a quarter pounder ! I was quite explicit with the waitress that I didn’t want any sauces or dressing with my steak, just wanted the meat. It came with parsley sauce on top. I told her to change it, but the ‘chef’ scraped it off and flashed it in a pan ????
It was rubbish and I’m fairly sure the soles of my shoes would have been more tender. Never again.

After our visit last week to Miller and Carter Rickmansworth my husband had food poisoning for three days. I have never seen him so ill. Reported it immediately, but Miller and Carter were more concerned about getting their form completed than about the actual fact that their food had made someone so ill. Have sent two further updates, no response - exceptionally poor customer service.
The one star I’ve had to leave to post this review is too much. Miller and Carter certainly don’t seem to care about their customers.

Visited the Liverpool Branco today in Otterspool, spent £80 an a meal for two. What can I say, the starter was something you would get from the frozen section from Iceland, the steaks were tasteless and very fatty, but the dog loved them when I got home, and the sweet was like the same frozen food isle from Iceland. Very disappointed and would not recommend to ever visit.

Booked their establishment in Birmingham, having had mixed experiences at their restaurants previously. Newcastle great, Bury poor. Birmingham probably falls between the two on food quality versus price. The thing that I couldn’t get my head round was the men’s toilets, for some reason they have decided not to put any stones in, just two cubicles for men and four for women. If going don’t drink too much or you’ll spend half the night hanging round the men’s lav

1 star for a nice restaurant
1 star for the food being edible
Service was extremely slow last night, waited over an hour for mains.
Was sat in a cold area in the back corner, I did express that I didn't want to be seated there because it was cold but the waitress said they were going to fill up, but it was quiet when we got there, so could not be moved and it was freezing the whole time we were there.
If im paying £70 for a meal I dont expext to be there over 2 hours and be sat somewhere cold.
This chain is the same chain as the harvester, and the food is from the same supplier. You are just paying hiked up prices really at £60 for a steak and £18 for a burger with frozen harvester chips!

Really really disappointed with tonight’s experience at Redhill. One friend had an order served wrongly twice. Not nice when someone eats 20 mins after you and it’s still not what they ordered. Think it speaks volumes when the second attempt at getting an order out is still wrong. Service from random kids flinging your food at you with disdain is not what I’m paying for. Not paying that much for steak and alcohol at a place where your custom clearly isn’t given a fig about. Food decent if you get what you ordered but inexperienced, younger serving staff need some training or a new job. Stupid things like serving an empty butter dish with cheese and crackers really cheesed me off. And desserts meant to be hot being cold? Will definitely avoid in the future and spend my money elsewhere where service is friendlier and correct. Would advise others to do the same.

Booked a table for our Wedding anniversary and cheekily requested booth seating. Having never been wasn’t sure if this was even available.
We did book at prime time (Saturday night 20:30) so the place was busy but we got some comfy seats near the bar and were told it would be about 15 minutes before a table was available. This was with an apology and genuinely delivered to.
After around 10 minutes we were escorted to a booth and wished a happy anniversary and from there on the night just got better and better.
The food here is fantastic, if you’re really into properly sourced, prepared and cooked to perfection Steaks then this absolutely for you.
Every element of our order was put together with truly expert advice from our waitress Gosia, whose knowledge of steak was absolutely phenomenal.
So the food is exceptional and the service we received was equally as magic. Gosia was an absolutely amazing waitress, invisible when dressing the table between courses and available when needed. Her knowledge of the menu was exactly what you need when faced with such a mighty expanse of options!
All in all, this has been a truly fantastic night and a perfect way to celebrate, I can’t thank the staff at Miller & Carter Bessacarr enough for making our night magical.

Our party of 6 adults & two children visited last Saturday evening to celebrate my birthday.
My wife & I have always enjoyed our previous visits & were full of expectation that this would be the same, especially as our table was booked early. Unfortunately this was not to be the case.
Our order was taken, but the waitress then returned to advise that there was only one tomahawk steak available, we had ordered two. I would have expected any decent steakhouse to have had a sufficient supply of meat as advertised by their menus.
Our drinks & starters were served promptly, we were then served with our lettuce accompaniment to our steak, these did not look appetising, I could have prepared better myself. The lettuce was extremely wet, it dripped if held up! After a further 30 minutes we were served our main meals. We had requested that our tomahawk steak be served medium, as recommended, it was in effect medium to rare, too rare for my liking, the deeper into the steak we cut the rarer it was.
We are not used to complaining in public hence my review now & I am hoping that this was a one-off experience but it has put us off visiting again which is a shame.

Miller and Carter - Cribbs Causeway Bristol.
Can’t comment on the food or drink- we didn’t get offered any. Service is appalling. Shown to a table and given menus and we waited and waited.... those that arrived after us were served but not us. After 20 minutes we gave up and left. I spoke with the manager ‘Steve’ on the way out as he was fiddling with the tills (as he was on our way in). He did apologise and said he would send someone to take our order- too late as we were leaving and frankly not a clue about customer service.

For my birthday meal, my wife booked a table for 8:15 at the restaurant in Ruislip, as we had previously had a very good meal there. There were 5 of us, husband and wife, adult step son and twins boy and girl of 17. We arrived in time and had to wait before being shown to our table.
The first issue we had was that the waiter (whose English was not very good) asked for id from my son who is 17, when he asked for cider. He stated loudly that the policy of the restaurant was not to serve anyone under 18 alcohol, even though legally my son and daughter could have alcohol with their meals. I found this strange as in another restaurant of this chain, he was served cider, and also at our previous visit to this restaraunt. I ordered a Guiness which he stated they did not serve, strange again as I had this on my last visiti.
We ordered champagne and other drinks. He returned with the drinks and got one drink incorrect. Also this restaurant does not serve Guiness. We had our champagne and a few minutes later the manageress, came to the table and spoke in what could be termed as an "aggressive tone" accusing my son of drinking alcohol, stating that it was restaurant policy not to serve alcohol to under 18s and that we could be asked to leave. This was totally not true and my wife politely pointed out that he had ordered coca cola and had definitely not had alcohol.
The other issues were food related. Can you believe a steak house on a Sunday not having steaks available? And this a supposedly upmarket restaurant. could not order their 50day aged steaks, - apparently run out. Neither could my daughter order a lobster side.
What an experience to have on what should have been a nice outing. Service with a frown, lack of food availability and a policy that does not encourage families with teenagers to want to spend their time and money.
Would I visit this restaurant again? NO. Would I recommend this restaurant to my friends and colleagues? NO. In fact speaking to a colleague who lives near this restaurant and is a frequent patron, he too remarked that he recently had a poor experience where he was served cod that had been re-cooked.
I would not be surprised if in future this restaurant closes down as their service goes down the drain.

Gave a Miller and Carter gift voucher as a 21st birthday present. Refused to honour topcashback refund. Would not have bothered with it if i knew this. Over priced and if not careful will end going the way of Jamie Oliver's empire.
